Regenerators play a vital role in enhancing the overall performance of Stirling ***,this paper performed an energy and exergy analysis to elucidate the significance of regenerator characteristics concerning system performance,contributing to the optimal regenerator’s design and *** relationship between regenerator structure,regenerator exergy destruction,and output power,thermal efficiency,and exergy efficiency for Stirling engines was established by integrating the thermal model of Stirling engines with a mathematical model of *** contrast to cross-flow and parallel-flow regenerators,a novel concept of inclined-flow regenerators,featuring a matrix surface inclined in the direction of gas flow,was developed to achieve higher and more balanced engine output power and energy utilization efficiency.A comprehensive investigation was conducted into the effects of matrix structure types and regenerator geometries on the performance of both regenerators and *** results reveal that,following structural optimization,Stirling engines equipped with the inclined-flow regenerator demonstrate a substantial 16.6%,38.3%,and 37.2%increase in power output,thermal efficiency,and exergy efficiency,respectively,compared to those equipped with cross-flow *** contrast,when compared to engines fitted with parallel-flow regenerators,they experience a 13.5%reduction in power output but achieve remarkable enhancements of 45.4%and 36.7%in thermal and exergy efficiency,*** study introduces new insights into selecting regenerator structures for enhancing the output performance of Stirling engines.

OBJECTIVE: To present a bibliometric analysis of global scientific publications on the nondrug and nonsedative hypnotic treatment of insomnia with regard to influential institutions, publications, countries, research hotspots,trends, and frontiers. METHODS: A literature review was conducted by searching the Web of Science Core Collection(Wo SCC) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) databases to identify all publications related to the nondrug and nonsedative hypnotic treatment of insomnia from 2000 to 2021. Eligible publications were reviewed, including annual publication increments, citation analyses, international collaborations, and keyword analyses. The data were analysed using Cite Space(vers5.8.R3, 6.1.R2 and 6.1.6, College of Computing and Informatics, Philadelphia, PA, USA) and virtualized by knowledge maps. RESULTS:In total, 9832 publications were included in this analysis. The results from the WoSCC showed that the United States of America(Count = 2268, 40.33%), Stanford University(Count = 141, 2.51%), and the United States Department of Health and Human Services were the leading country, institute, and funding agency regarding the number of publications, respectively. “Cognitive-behavioural therapy” was the most popular research topic generated from the cocited reference. The most frequently co-occurring keywords were insomnia, cognitive behavioural therapy, disorder, depression, quality of life, Meta-analysis, older adult, sleep, prevalence and efficacy, while keywords including clinical practice guideline, guideline, and Tai Chi remained popular after 2021. Circadian rhythm was the strongest research frontier for 2000-2021. In China, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Count = 69, 4.79%) was the most productive institute in this field. BACKGROUND As a well-known fact to the public,gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)could bring serious risks for both pregnant women and *** this important investigation into the linkage between GDM patients and their altered expression in the serum,proteomics techniques were deployed to detect the differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)of in the serum of GDM patients to further explore its pathogenesis,and find out possible biomarkers to forecast GDM *** Subjects were divided into GDM and normal control groups according to the IADPSG diagnostic *** samples were randomly selected from four cases in each group at 24-28 wk of gestation,and the blood samples were identified by applying iTRAQ technology combined with liquid chromatography-tandem mass *** proteins and signaling pathways associated with GDM were identified by bioinformatics analysis,and the expression of key proteins in serum from 12 wk to 16 wk of gestation was further verified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).RESULTS Forty-seven proteins were significantly differentially expressed by analyzing the serum samples between the GDMgravidas as well as the healthy ones. Among them, 31 proteins were found to be upregulated notably and the rest16 proteins were downregulated remarkably. Bioinformatic data report revealed abnormal expression of proteinsassociated with lipid metabolism, coagulation cascade activation, complement system and inflammatory responsein the GDM group. ELISA results showed that the contents of RBP4, as well as ANGPTL8, increased in the serumof GDM gravidas compared with the healthy ones, and this change was found to initiate from 12 wk to 16 wk *** GDM symptoms may involve abnormalities in lipid metabolism, coagulation cascade activation, complementsystem and inflammatory response. RBP4 and ANGPTL8 are expected to be early predictors of GDM.

Rational design of extractant structure to improve the extraction and separation capacity of rare earth elements(REEs)is a long-standing ***,a new strategy was proposed to improve the stability of the chelating structure formed by malonamide and *** stability of the chelating structure is greatly improved by using a double-ring framework structure which makes the two carbonyl groups of malonamide unable to rotate freely and both of them point to the metal ion *** benzyl groups were used to construct the hydrophobicity of the extractant and the organic shell of the extracted ***-pyrrolo-pyridine-dione(THPPD)was designed and *** structure reduces the energy consumed by rotating carbonyl group in the coordination with metal ions and then improves the extraction ability of *** crystal structure was preorganized as expected,with the two carbonyls pointing in a favorable coordination direction to the structural complement of the metal *** extraction behaviors of REEs with THPPD in a nitric acid medium were *** with N,N’-dibenzyl-N,N’-dimethylmalonamide(DBDM-MA)with a chain structure,the extraction capacity of THPPD is 360 times higher than that of DBDM-MA at 5.0 mol/L sodium ***,the binding energy and Gibbs free energy were investigated by density functional theory(DFT)in conjunction with the *** theoretical results show that THPPD has more effective interaction with Pr(NO_(3))3 than *** construction of chelating groups conformation is a worthy direction to improve the coordination ability and even selectivity of extractant.

A Polarization Control Operator for Polarized Electromagnetic Wave Designing

To describe and control the polarization state of electromagnetic waves, a polarization control operator of the complex vector form is proposed. Distinct from traditional descriptors, the proposed operator employs an angle parameter to configure the polarization state of the polarized wave. By setting the parameter in the proposed operator,the amplitude of the field components can be modified, resulting in changes in the magnitude and direction of the field vector, and thus realizing control of the polarization state of the electromagnetic wave. The physical meaning,orthogonal decomposition, and discrete property of the proposed operator are demonstrated through mathematical derivation. In the simulation examples, the polarization control operator with fixed and time-varying parameters is applied to the circularly polarized wave. The propagation waveform, the trajectory projection and the waveform cross section in different reception directions of the new electromagnetic waves are observed. The simulation results indicate that complex electromagnetic waves with more flexible polarization states can be obtained with the aid of the polarization operator.

Stretchable and self-healable materials with excellent mechanical performance hold great promise for applications in flexible functional *** rapid developments,achieving high mechanical strength,extreme stretchability,and rapid selfhealing capability in self-healing materials remains ***,inspired by the hierarchical structure and unique network of connective tissue,we fabricated a class of bionic nanocomposites with high stretchability,outstanding mechanical strength,and rapid self-healing ability by integrating the bottlebrush copolymer functionalized graphene oxide(BCP@GO)into a polyurethane(PU)matrix via in-situ *** bottlebrush copolymer(BCP)acted as a bond bridge for linking the GO nanosheets(noncovalent interaction)and PU chains(covalent and hydrogen-bond interaction).The covalent interactions were responsible for providing high mechanical strength,and the abundant hydrogen-bond-based cross-links realized extreme stretchability and rapid self-healing *** resultant BCP@GO/PU nanocomposite with only 0.5 wt.%GO loading exhibited excellent mechanical properties(tensile strength increased by 52.1%,up to 28.6 MPa;toughness increased by 70.8%,up to 256.9 MJ/m^(3);elongation at break increased by 12.8%,up to 1847.2%),exceptional rapid and efficient self-healing ability(~99%with 20 s NIR irradiation),as well as superior shape memory and recyclable *** study develops a new strategy for designing highperformance self-healing nanocomposites and unfolds broad application prospects in smart materials.

Vocal communication plays an important role in survival,reproduction,and animal social *** and mammals produce com-plex vocal sequence to convey context-dependent *** are conspicuous features of the behavior of most anuran species(frogs and toads),and males usually alter their calling strategies according to ecological context to improve the attractiveness/***,very few studies have focused on the variation of vocal sequence in *** the present study,we used both conventional method and network analysis to investigate the context-dependent vocal repertoire,vocal sequence,and call network structure in serrate-legged small treefrogs Kurixalus *** found that male *** modified their vocal sequence by switching to different call types and increasing repertoire size in the presence of a competitive ***,compared with before and after the playback of advertisement calls,males emited fewer advertisement calls,but more aggressive calls,encounter calls,and compound calls during the playback *** analysis revealed that the mean degree,mean closeness,and mean betweenness of the call networks significantly decreased during the playback period,which resulted in lower *** addition,the increased proportion of one-way motifs and average path length also indicated that the connectivity of the call network decreased in competitive ***,the vocal sequence of *** did not display a clear small-world network structure,regardless of *** study presents a paradigm to apply network analysis to vocal sequence in anurans and has important implications for understanding the evolution and function of sequence patterns.
