In this study,the preparation of a new kind of magnetic and luminescent Fe3O4/CdTe nanocomposites was demonstrated. Superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles were first synthesized by hydrothermal coprecipitation of ferric and ferrous ions,followed by the modification of their surfaces with tetramethylammonium hydroxide（TMAOH） and the chemical activation with aspartic *** surface-modified Fe3O4 nanoparticles were then covalently coated with CdTe quantum dots（QDs）,which were modified with mercaptoacetic acid（MPA）,to form the Fe3O4/CdTe magnetic and luminescent nanocomposites through the coordination of the amino groups on the surfaces of Fe3O4 and the carboxyl groups on CdTe *** structure and properties of as-synthesized nanocomposites were *** was indicated that the nanocomposites possessed structure with an average diameter of 40- 50 nm,yellow-green emission feature and room temperature *** the fluorescence and UV-vis absorption spectra of the nanocomposites showed a blue shift comparing with those of CdTe *** mechanism of the blue shift was *** nanocomposites retained the ferromagnetic property with a saturation magnetization of 8.9 emu/g.

AIM: To evaluate the potential prognostic value of GNAS1 T393 C polymorphism in advanced non-small cell lung ***: We extracted genomic DNA from the peripheral blood leucocytes of 94 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was used to determine the allelic discrimination. The correlation between genotype and overall survival was evaluated using the multivariate analysis and Kaplan-Meier ***: Thirty-eight out of 94(40%) patients displayed a TT genotype, 29 out of 94(31%) a CT genotype and 27 out of 94(29%) a CC genotype. The median survival of TT(25 mo) genotype carriers was longer than CT(12 mo) or CC(8 mo) genotype carriers. The favorable TT genotype predicted better overall survival(OS)(2-year OS: 48%; P =0.01) compared with CT(2-year OS: 18%) or CC(2-year OS: 15%) genotype. However, dichotomization between C-genotypes(CC + CT) and T-genotypes(TT) revealed significantly lower survival rates(2-year OS: 16%; P = 0.01) for C allele ***: Our data provided strong evidence that the GNAS1 T393 C genetic polymorphism influenced the prognosis in advanced non-small lung cancer with a worse outcome for C allele carriers.

The present experiment, involving both the in vivo injection of abscislc acid （ABA） Into apple （Malus domestica Brohk.） fruits and the in vivo Incubation of fruit tissues in ABA-contalnlng medium, revealed that ABA activates both soluble and cell wall-bound acid invertases. Immunoblottlng and enzyme-linked Immunosorbent assays showed that this ABA-induced acid invertase activation is Independent of the amount of enzyme present. The acid Invertase activation induced by ABA is dependent on medium pH, time course, ABA dose, living tissue and developmental stage. Two isomers of cls-（＋）-ABA, （-）-ABA and trans- ABA, had no effect on acid invertases, showing that ABA-induced acid invertase activation is specific to physiologically active cis-（＋）ABA. Protein kinase inhlbltors K252a and H7 as well as acid phosphatase Increased the ABA-Induced effects. These data indicate that ABA specifically activates both soluble and cell wall-bound acid Invertases by a posttranslational mechanism probably Involving reversible protein phosphorylatlon, and this may be one of the mechanisms by which ABA Is Involved In regulating fruit development.

BACKGROUND Epidemiologic studies have explored the association between a single cardiovascular risk factor(CVRF)and resting heart rate(RHR),but the research on the relation of multiple risk factors with RHR remains *** study aimed to explore the associations between CVRFs clustering and the risk of elevated *** In this cross-sectional study,adults aged 35-75 years from 31 provinces were recruited by the China PEACE Million Persons Projects from September 2015 to August *** focused on seven risk factors:hypertension,diabetes mellitus,dyslipidemia,obesity,smoking,alcohol use,and low physical *** logistic regression was used to calculate odds ratios(OR)for elevated RHR(>80 beats/min).RESULTS Among 1,045,405 participants,the mean age was 55.67±9.86 years,and 60.4%of participants were *** OR(95%CI)for elevated RHR for the groups with 1,2,3,4 and≥5 risk factor were 1.11(1.08-1.13),1.36(1.33-1.39),1.68(1.64-1.72),2.01(1.96-2.07)and 2.58(2.50-2.67),respectively(Ptrend<0.001).The association between the CVRFs clustering number and elevated RHR was much more pronounced in young males than in other age-sex *** comprising more metabolic risk factors were associated with a higher risk of elevated RHR than those comprising more behavioral risk *** There was a significant positive association between the CVRFs clustering number and the risk of elevated RHR,particularly in young *** clusters comprising more behavioral risk factors,clusters comprising more metabolic risk factors were associated with a higher risk of elevated *** may serve as an indicator of the cumulative effect of multiple risk factors.

The nucleophilic trifluoromethylation involving trifluoromethyllithium(LiCF_(3))species has been an open question since Haszeldine attempted to prepare LiCF_(3) in ***,LiCF_(3) has been used for electrophilic difluoromethylene transfer processes(via elimination of fluoride ions)since ***,we demonstrated that by using a polar solvent such as dimethylformamide(DMF)or hexamethylphosphoramide(HMPA)as the lithium chelator,the in situ deprotonation of fluoroform(HCF_(3))with lithium hexamethyldisilazide(LiHMDS)could generate a tamed LiCF_(3) species that is sufficiently persistent to undergo nucleophilic trifluoromethylation *** nucleophilic reactivity of LiCF_(3) species was probed with several electrophiles,including arylsulfonyl fluorides,diaryl ketones,and silyl *** synthetic utility of this method is demonstrated with the efficient synthesis of highly valuable triflones that are otherwise difficult to synthesize from HCF_(3) using potassium or sodium *** work not only showcases a new protocol for the utilization of fluoroform(an industrial waste with high global warming potential)as the trifluoromethylation reagent,but also provides intriguing insights into the harnessing of nucleophilic reactivity of the transient LiCF_(3) species.

Wave propagation in multi-phase porous media is a significant research topic. There are a series of studies about porous media saturated with a single fluid, a solid and a fluid, two fluids, and three fluids. Some gas hydrate-bearing sediments are typical multiphase porous media saturated with a solid(gas hydrates) and two fluids(water and gas). Based on existing theories of porous media, we develop a theory and give a comprehensive analysis of wave propagation in a poroelastic medium saturated with two fluids and a solid. Initially, we establish the constitutive relations and equations of motion. Based on Biot's approach for describing the equations of motion in fluid-saturated porous media at the macroscale,the kinetic energy density, potential energy density, and dissipative energy density are derived. After deriving the equations of motion, a plane wave analysis predicts the existence of four compressional waves, denoted P1, P2, P3, and P4 waves,and two shear waves, denoted S1 and S2 waves. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate how velocities and attenuations of various waves behave with gas saturation, gas hydrate saturation, and frequency. A model degradation to porous media saturated with a single fluid supports the validity of the theory, which enriches the theory of multiphase porous media and provides a foundation for the evaluation of gas hydrate-bearing sediments.

In this paper,the diffusive nutrient-microorganism model subject to Neumann boundary conditions is *** Hopf bifurcations and steady state bifurcations which bifurcate from the positive constant equilibrium of the system are investigated in *** addition,the formulae to determine the direction of Hopf and steady state bifurcations are *** results show the existence of spatially homogeneous/nonhomogeneous periodic orbits and steady state solutions,which indicates the spatiotemporal dynamics of the *** numerical simulations are also presented to support the analytical results.

Nitrogen-doped carbon materials have been widely used for the constructions of single-atom catalysts,while the effect of different species of doped nitrogen on the catalytic activity of CO_(2) electroreduction has rarely been *** we found that pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni2+catalysts display much higher electrocatalytic CO_(2)-to-CO activity and selectivity than the corresponding pyridinic-N coordinated low valent Ni^((0–+2))catalysts,and pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni2 dual-atoms catalyst of Ni2/N-CNTs exhibits the best electrocatalytic performance,with over 90%Faradaic efficiencies in a broad potentials from−0.6 to−1.2 V *** hydrogen electrode,as well as an outstanding CO specific current of 56.2 A/mgNi and high turnover frequency of 6.2×10^(4) h^(−1),over 7-times higher than those of pyridinic-N coordinated Ni *** results indicate the weak electron-donor nature of pyrrolic-N facilitates the generation of a reduced active site at low overpotential for boosting CO_(2) *** functional theory calculations reveal that the reaction free energy for the*COOH formation on pyrrolic-N coordinated Ni catalysts are lower than those on pyridinic-N coordinated Ni catalysts,and a H_(2)Oadsorbed Ni_(2)/N-CNTs displays the optimized reaction free energy for both*COOH formation and CO desorption,which derive the best catalytic performance.
