Constraints on the skewness coefficient of symmetric nuclear matter within the nonlinear relativistic mean field model

Within the nonlinear relativistic mean field(NLRMF) model, we show that both the pressure of symmetric nuclear matter at supra-saturation densities and the maximum mass of neutron stars are sensitive to the skewness coefficient, J_0, of symmetric nuclear matter. Using experimental constraints on the pressure of symmetric nuclear matter at supra-saturation densities from flow data in heavy-ion collisions and the astrophysical observation of a large mass neutron star PSR J0348+0432, with the former favoring a smaller J_0 while the latter favors a larger J_0, we extract a constraint of -494 MeV≤J_0≤-10 MeV based on the NL-RMF model. This constraint is compared with the results obtained in other analyses.

Novel Donor-Acceptor Copolymers Based on Dithienosilole and Ketone Modified Thieno[3,4-b]thiophene for Photovoltaic Application

Two novel donor-acceptor （D-A） copolymers containing dithienosilole （DTS） donor unit and ketone modified thieno[3,4-b]thiophene （TT） acceptor unit, namely, poly{4,4＇-bis（2-ethylhexyl）dithieno[3,2-b：2＇,Y-d]silole-5,5＇-diyl- alt-l-（thieno[3,4-b]thiophen-2-yl）-2-ethylhexan-l-one} （PDTSTT） and poly{4,4＇-bis（2-ethylhexyl）dithieno[3,2- b：2＇,3＇-d]silole-5,5＇-diyl-alt- 1-（4,6-bis（4-ethylhexylthien-2-yl）thieno[3,4-b]thiophen-2-yl）-2-ethylhexan- 1-one} （PD- TSDTTT）, were synthesized for the application in polymer solar cells （PSCs）, and the effects of thiophene bridge on the structural geometry and photovoiltaie performance have been investigated. The polymer PDTSTT and PDTSDTTT have the electrochemical bandgaps of 1.54 and 2.02 eV, together with low-lying HOMO energy levels of-5.47 and -5.37 eV, respectively. Molecular geometry simulation result shows that compared with PDTSTT, the insertion of thiophene bridge in PDTSDTTT can well relieve the steric hindrance between the TT and DTS unit, as confirmed by the reduced dihedral angle between DTS and DTTT unit. Under the illumination of AM 1.5G, 100 mW/cm2, the PSC based on PDTSDTTT/PC61BM （1 ： 1, w ： w） demonstrates a power conversion efficiency of 1.0%, which is significantly improved in comparison with the device based on PDTSTT/PC61BM （1 ： 2, w ： w） under the same experimental condition. This is because the enhanced planarity and increased effective conjugation of the main chain in PDTSDTTT promote the more favorable morphology for charge transportation, although PDTSTT possesses the broader absorption band than PDTSDTTT.

The conventional perception of astrocytes as mere supportive cells within the brain has recently been called into question by empirical evidence, which has revealed their active involvement in regulating brain function and encoding behaviors associated with ***, astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala have been found to play a role in the modulation of anxiety-like behaviors triggered by chronic stress. Nevertheless, the precise molecular mechanisms by which basolateral amygdala astrocytes regulate chronic stress–induced anxiety-like behaviors remain to be fully elucidated. In this study, we found that in a mouse model of anxiety triggered by unpredictable chronic mild stress, the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 was upregulated in the basolateral amygdala. Interestingly, our findings indicate that the targeted knockdown of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically within the basolateral amygdala astrocytes was able to rescue the anxiety-like behavior in mice subjected to stress. Furthermore, we found that the overexpression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, whether achieved through intracranial administration of excitatory amino acid transporter 2agonists or through injection of excitatory amino acid transporter 2-overexpressing viruses with GfaABC1D promoters, evoked anxiety-like behavior in mice. Our single-nucleus RNA sequencing analysis further confirmed that chronic stress induced an upregulation of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically in astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala. Moreover, through in vivo calcium signal recordings, we found that the frequency of calcium activity in the basolateral amygdala of mice subjected to chronic stress was higher compared with normal *** knocking down the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, the frequency of calcium activity was not significantly increased, and anxiety-like behavior was ob

The adiabatic theorem describes the time evolution of the pure state and gives an adiabatic approximate solution to the Schrrdinger equation by choosing a single eigenstate of the Hamiltonian as the initial state. In quantum systems, states are divided into pure states （unite vectors） and mixed states （density matrices, i.e., positive operators with trace one）. Accordingly, mixed states have their own corresponding time evolution, which is described by the von Neumann equation. In this paper, we discuss the quantitative conditions for the time evolution of mixed states in terms of the von Neumann equation. First, we introduce the definitions for uniformly slowly evolving and δ-uniformly slowly evolving with respect to mixed states, then we present a necessary and sufficient condition for the Hamiltonian of the system to be uniformly slowly evolving and we obtain some upper bounds for the adiabatic approximate error. Lastly, we illustrate our results in an example.

Alternating Terpolymers Based on Tunable Bi-donors with Manipulating Energy Levels and Molecular Geometry

Three novel regular acceptor-donorl-acceptor-donor2（A-D1-A-D2） terpolymers were prepared via em-bedding a second donor（D2） unit into the traditional D-A backbone to manipulate the energy levels and moleculargeometry with no complex synthesis or solubility loss. In these A-D1-A-D2 terpolymers, benzodithiophene（BDT, D1）and diketopyrrolopyrrole（DPP, A） were selected as the basic skeleton, and the dithienopyrrole（DTPy）, carbazole（CZ）and fluorine（FL） units with different electron donating ability were chosen as the second donor trait（D2）. The HOMOenergy levels can be effectively modulated by only varying D2 unit because of the push-pull interaction between do-nor and acceptor units. Versus the D-A bipolymer PDPP-BDT, incorporation of the D2 unit into the copolymers candistinctly lower the highest occupied molecular orbital（HOMO） levels to -5.47 eV for PDDPP-BDT-DTPy, -5.38 eVfor PDDPP-BDT-CZ and -5.23 eV for PDDPP-BDT-FL, which shows the strong dependence on electron-donatingability. Density functional theory（DFT） simulation and X-ray diffraction（XRD） measurements also reveal the effectof the D2 units on the molecular geometry of the terpolymers and their molecular packing. Notably, aPDDPP-BDT-DTPy combined with a thiophene ring and forked tail pendant away from the backbone had less back-bone torsion and more compact packing than the other two counterparts. These results demonstrate that embedding asecond donor（D2） unit into the backbone to construct an A-D1-A-D2 structure can be an effective and direct strategyto manipulate the energy levels and molecular geometry and develop organic semiconducting materials.

Seawater electrolysis is a promising approach for sustainable energy without relying on precious ***,the large-scale seawater electrolysis is hindered by low catalytic efficiency and severe anode corrosion caused by the harmful *** contrast to the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）and chlorin ion oxidation reaction （ClOR）,glycerol oxidation reaction （GOR） is more thermodynamically and kinetically favorable ***,a Ru doping cobalt phosphide （Ru-CoP2） is proposed as a robust bifunctional electrocatalyst for seawater electrolysis and GOR,for the concurrent productions of hydrogen and value-added *** in situ and ex situ characterization analyses demonstrated that Ru doping featured in the dynamic reconstruction process from Ru-CoP2to Ru-CoOOH,accounting for the superior GOR *** coupling GOR with hydrogen evolution was realized by employing Ru-CoP2as both anode and cathode,requiring only a low voltage of 1.43 V at 100 mA cm-2,which was 250 m V lower than that in alkaline *** work guides the design of bifunctional electrocatalysts for energy-efficient seawater electrolysis coupled with biomass resource upcycling.
