Carbon dioxide corrosion behavior of low-alloy pipeline steel with 1% Cr exposed to CO2-saturated solution was investigated by immersion experiment. SEM, EDX, TEM, EPMA and XRD were utilized to investigate the microstructure, corrosion morphologies, corrosion phases and elements distribution of corrosion scale. The results demon strate that the microstructure of tested steel consists of ferrite and carbides. During the corrosion process, ferrite dissolves preferentially, leaving carbide particles behind. The residual carbide particles may promote the nucleation of FeCO3 crystal. The phase comprising of the inner layer is Cr compound, and the one of the outer layer is FeCO3. The formation process of corrosion scale can be illustrated as follows： Firstly, a thin scale consisting of thin inner layer and outer layer is formed, which represents poor corrosion resistance; then, the inner layer changes little, once it has been formed, and the outer layer becomes thick and compact, which demonstrates that a fine corrosion resistance is obtained. The chemical elements of chromium and molybdenum accumulate in the inner layer of corrosion scale. The corrosion behavior of low- alloy steel based on microstructure and morphology characterization is also discussed.

AIM: To examine the relations between lymphangiogenesis and the size of pterygium. METHODS: Tissues from 88 primary and 34 recurrent pterygia were evaluated, and those from 7 nasal epibulbar conjunctiva segments were used as controls. Pterygium slices from each patient were stained with LYVE-1 monodonal antibodies to identify lymphatic microvessel for calculating lymph-vascular area (LVA), lymph-microvascular density (LMD) and lymph-vascular luminal diameter (LVL). Also, the relations between lymphangiogenesis (measuring by LVA, LMD and LVL) and the size of pterygium (extension, width and area) were explored. RESULTS: There were a few LYVE-1 ((+)) lymphatic vessels in normal epibulbar conjunctiva segments. However, the number of lymphatic vessels slightly increased in primary pterygia and dramatically increased in recurrent pterygia. LVA, LMD and LVL significantly increased in recurrent pterygia in comparison with primary pterygia (all P<0.05). Both LMD and LVA were correlated with the width and area of pterygia (both P<0.05), and LVA was also correlated with the extension of pterygia(P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Lymphangiogenesis is correlated with the size of pterygium. The outgrowth of lymphatic vessels might contribute to the development of pterygia.

One-dimensional simulations with a detailed hydrogen-oxygen reaction mechanism have been performed to investigate detonation phenomenon in a combustion light gas gun(CLGG).Convection fluxes of the Navier-Stokes equations are solved using the WAF(weighted average flux)scheme HLLC Riemann solver.A high resolution fifth-order WENO scheme for the variable extrapolation at the volume interface and a fourth-order Runge-Kutta scheme for the time advancement are *** tests of the stoichiometric hydrogen-oxygen deflagration to detonation transition process shows good agreement between the computed results and the analytical and documented solutions,demonstrating the reliability on the detonation simulation of the current *** results of the interior ballistic process of the CLGG show that the flame propagation experiences three distinct *** blast detonation wave causes a high-pressure shock and hazardous oscillations in the chamber and makes the projectile accelerate with fluctuations,but has only a small improvement to the muzzle velocity.

Molecular investigations have raised concerns about the ecological risks of green tides caused by alien Ulva species in new *** green tide-forming species *** Wille was generally considered to be native to North America,but new records have been widely reported in Europe,Asia,and Oceania in recent decades,indicating a strong dispersal capacity of the *** this study,the first record of *** on the coastline of China's Mainland was reported,following a combined identification with multi-molecular markers and morphological *** was shown that this species has a discontinuous distribution pattern along the coast of China's Mainland,with northern populations in the Yellow Sea and southern populations in the East China Sea and South China *** to results of examination for life cycles and identification with mating type(MT)genetic markers,it was indicated that all *** samples were male gametophytes,and reproduced themselves through parthenogenesis *** with the fact that southern and northern populations are highly genetically identical,here we believed that *** was a recent alien species to China's Mainland with a rapid local *** finding provided evidences that the ability to reproduce in a variety of ways may play an important role in the spread of Ulva species,as well as essential basic data for marine risk management of green tides in *** addition,according to the phylogeographic analysis,the possible geographical origin and global dispersal routes of *** were also proposed.

The green seaweeds Ulva linza and *** are closely related *** usually co-occur widely and have important ecological significance as primary producers thriving in the intertidal *** the Yellow Sea,a genetically unique floating ecotype of *** even bloomed to cause serious green ***,there is still a lack of appropriate molecular markers to distinguish these two species,partially due to limited evaluations on the intraspecific variations in *** among dif ferent *** organelle genomes could provide rich genetic resources for phylogenetic analysis and development of genetic markers,in this study,the chloroplast genome from one attached population of *** was completely sequenced,and comparative genomic analyses were performed with other existing chloroplast genomes from *** and the floating ecotype of *** results showed that in spite of the high level of collinearity among three genomes,there were plenty of genetic variations especially within the non-coding regions,including introns and gene spacer regions.A strategy was proposed that only those signals of variation,which were identical between two ecotypes of *** but divergent between *** and ***,were selected to develop the interspecific markers for *** and *** candidate markers,psa B and pet B,were shown to be able to distinguish these two closely related species and were applicable to more attached populations of *** from a wide range of geographical *** addition to the interspecific marker,this study would also provide resources for the development of intraspecific markers for *** markers might contribute to the surveys for Ulva species composition and green tide monitoring especially in the Yellow Sea region.

AIM To report on a more accurate diagnostic possibility offered by endoscopic ultrasound-guided cutting of holes and deep biopsy (EUS-CHDB) for pathologic diagnosis of gastric infiltrative tumors and gastrointestinal submucosal tumors. METHODS Ten consecutive patients who were suspected of having gastric invasive tumors or gastrointestinal submucosal tumors underwent EUS-CHDB with a novel vertical diathermic loop. We reviewed their medical data and analysed the effectiveness and safety of this new method. The final diagnosis was based on the surgical pathology or clinical/imaging follow-up. RESULTS EUS-CHDB was performed successfully in all the ten patients. Neither severe haemorrhage nor perforation occurred in any patient. Among the ten patients, there were three cases of gastric linitis plastica, one case of gastric lymphoma, five cases of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), and only one case of chronic non-atrophic gastritis. That is, nine (90%) of the cases CONCLUSION EUS-CHDB may be a technically feasible and safe option for patients with gastric infiltrative tumors or gastrointestinal submucosal tumors. EUS-CHDB may be used as a remedial or even preferred biopsy method for submucosal lesions.

This paper dealt with the development of a two-dimensional （2D） mathematical model for column leaching and confirmed the important simulation parameters through experiment. The unsaturated state of the variably saturated flow column and the solute transport of copper ions were studied during leaching. The fluid flow problem was handled using the Richards equation on the premise of an ambient pressure column air, where the van Genuchten formulas were applied to define the nonlinear relationships of pressure head with the retention and permeability properties. The ore column permeability test gave a varied hydraulic conductivity, which was analyzed in the model. In the solute transport problem, the copper ion concentration was solved using the advection-diffusion-reaction equation whose reaction term was determined by the joint analysis of experimental copper leaching rate and the shrinking core model. Particle-and column-scale leaching tests were carried out to illustrate the difference and connection of copper extraction in both processes. This fluid flow and solute transport cou-pled model was determined through the finite element method using the numerical simulation software, COMSOL Multiphysics.

The variation of heat treatments including directed quenching and tempering off-line after controlled rolling（DQT） and quenching off-line and tempering off-line after controlled rolling（RQT） with microstructure and mechanical properties of a low-carbon microalloyed steel was compared and *** DQT,the quenched steel was obviously banded microstructure,with increasing tempering temperature,lath martensite coarsened,the cusp carbide precipitated at grain boundaries,the yield strength fluctuated slightly,and the fracture-separation was *** impact toughness was better in the steel tempered at 500 ℃ for 1 *** RQT,with increasing tempering temperature,lath martensite degenerated,intragranular and intergranular finer precipitations with smaller than 30 nm precipitated and grew up and were distributed dispersedly,the stripe-like carbides were distributed at grain boundaries,and the yield strength and tensile strengthen decreased *** impact toughness of RQT process was much better than that of DQT process,and the comprehensive mechanical properties were better for the steel tempered at 500 ℃ for 1 h of RQT process.
