AIM:To investigate the short-term efficacy and safety of inebilizumab for neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders(NMOSD).METHODS:A total of 33 patients with NMOSD treated with inebilizumab(Group INB,n=15)or rituximab(Group RTX,n=18)in addition to high-dose glucocorticoids were *** groups underwent hormone shock therapy during the acute ***,Group INB received inebilizumab injections during the remission phase,while Group RTX received rituximab injections.A comparison of aquaporins 4(AQP4)titer values,peripheral blood B lymphocyte counts,and visual function recovery was conducted before and 8wk after ***,adverse reactions and patient tolerability were analyzed after using inebilizumab treatment ***:Following inebilizumab treatment,there was a significantly improvement in the visual acuity of NMOSD patients(P0.05).Furthermore,inebilizumab exhibited higher safety levels than that of rituximab ***:The combination of inebilizumab and high-dose glucocorticoids proves to be *** comparison to rituximab injections,inebilizumab displays better tolerance and ***,it demonstrates a partial effect in preventing optic nerve ***,it stands as an effective method to reduce the disability rates and improve the daily living ability of patients with NMOSD.

Surface-supported isolated atoms in single-atom catalysts(SACs)grant maximum utilization of metals in heterogeneous ***,we report a feasible pyrolysis strategy to synthesize Pd single atoms by thermally melting Pd nanoparticles on an oxygen-vacancy-rich tungsten-oxide matrix at reduction *** ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was used to monitor the formation of zero-valence Pd single atoms and the increased metallic feature of WO_(3-x)***,the as-obtained zero-valence Pd single-atom catalyst exhibits a markedly boosted HER activity with a low overpotential(η_(10)=70 mV)at the current density of 10 mA/cm2and a small Tafel slope(b=68 mV/dec),nearly 150 mV and a 3,0-fold enhancement than those of Pd nanoparticles(η_(10)=220 mV,b=133 mV/dec)under the same *** addition,quasi in situ XPS results suggest the hydrogen spillover effect is more likely to occur on Pd single atoms during the electrochemical *** work may pave an interesting route for the rational design of highly-efficient single-atom catalysts,and the elucidation of corresponding enhanced reaction mechanisms by the utilization of advanced characterization techniques.

Objective:The metabolic reprogramming of acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells is a compensatory adaptation to meet energy requirements for rapid *** study aimed to examine the synergistic effects of glutamine deprivation and metformin exposure on AML ***:SKM-1 cells(an AML cell line)were subjected to glutamine deprivation and/or treatment with metformin or bis-2-(5-phenylacetamido-1,2,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)ethyl sulfide(BPTES,a glutaminase inhibitor)or *** viability was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assay,and cell apoptosis and reactive oxygen species(ROS)by flow *** blotting was conducted to examine the levels of apoptotic proteins,including cleaved caspase-3 and poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase(PARP).Moreover,the human long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)microarray was used to analyze gene expression after glutamine deprivation,and results were confirmed with quantitative RT-PCR(qRT-PCR).The expression of metallothionein 2A(MT2A)was suppressed using *** growth and apoptosis were further detected by CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry,respectively,in cells with MT2A ***:Glutamine deprivation or treatment with BPTES inhibited cell growth and induced apoptosis in SKM-1 *** lncRNA microarray result showed that the expression of MT family genes was significantly upregulated after glutamine ***2A knockdown increased apoptosis,while proliferation was not affected in SKM-1 *** addition,metformin inhibited cell growth and induced apoptosis in SKM-1 *** glutamine deprivation and metformin enhanced the sensitivity of SKM-1 cells to ***,the combination of glutamine deprivation with metformin exhibited synergistic antileukemia effects on SKM-1 ***:Targeting glutamine metabolism in combination with metformin is a promising new therapeutic strategy for AML.

Background:Minimally invasive surgery is the optimal treatment for *** present study aimed to compare short-and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic and robotic surgery for sporadic benign ***:A retrospective analysis of patients who underwent laparoscopic or robotic surgery for insulinoma at our center between September 2007 and December 2019 was *** demographic,perioperative and postoperative follow-up results were compared between the laparoscopic and robotic ***:A total of 85 patients were enrolled,including 36 with laparoscopic approach and 49 with robotic *** was the preferred surgical ***-nine patients(69.4%)underwent enucleation;among them,26 and 33 patients underwent laparoscopic and robotic surgery,*** enucleation had a lower conversion rate to laparotomy(0 vs.19.2%,P=0.013),shorter operative time(102.0 vs.145.5 min,P=0.008)and shorter postoperative hospital stay(6.0 vs.8.5 d,P=0.002)than laparoscopic *** were no differences between the groups in terms of intraoperative blood loss,the rates of postoperative pancreatic fistula and *** a median follow-up of 65 months,two patients in the laparoscopic group developed a functional recurrence and none of the patients in the robotic group had a ***:Robotic enucleation can reduce the conversion rate to laparotomy and shorten operative time,which might lead to a reduction in postoperative hospital stay.

Clinical characteristics of postoperative necrotizing enterocolitis in patients with congenital jejunoileal atresia and its risk factors

Objective To review postoperative necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC)in patients with jejunoileal atresia(JIA)and to explore the potential risk factors related to the concurrence *** Patients diagnosed with JIA who received surgical treatment from January 2016 to June 2021 were ***,viral infection of the fetus,transfusion within 48 hours before NEC,sepsis before JIA repair,pathological and anatomical classification of JIA,combined malformation,occurrence time of NEC after the operation,treatment,and prognosis of patients were *** were divided into NEC group and non-NEC group,and all patients were followed up for 3-6 months to observe for *** A total of 180 patients with JIA were included,of whom 12 were diagnosed with NEC after surgery and 1 patient with NEC died during *** average age,birth weight,gestational age,proportion of premature infants,proportion of preoperative infections,and pathological classification of JIA did not significantly differ between the two *** probability of patients with proximal jejunal atresia(PJA)in the NEC group(58.3%)was higher than that in the non-NEC group(22.6%)(p=0.011),and patients with PJA had longer parenteral nutrition time than patients without PJA(26.64±9.21 days vs 15.11±6.58 days,p<0.001).Conclusion PJA was more likely to be associated with concurrent NEC after surgery,which is a highly NEC-related risk factor inherent in JIA.

To reduce computational loads and save communication resources of cooperative multi-missile systems based on the event-triggered mechanism, the distributed differential game guidance laws are investigated. First, the cooperative multi-missile interception problem is converted into multi-player zero-sum differential games. The proposed guidance laws are derived by addressing the couple event-triggered-based Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation, which is solved by using the adaptive dynamic programming technique. Meanwhile, adaptive weight tuning laws and event-triggered conditions are designed. The proposed guidance laws can guarantee the stability of the nonlinear multi-missile system, which is proved using the Lyapunov method. Then, the estimated weights of the neural network and consensus tracking errors are ensured to be uniformly ultimately bounded. Besides, a minimal inter-sample time is established for avoiding the Zeno behavior. Finally, some experiments are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed guidance laws. Compared with traditional distributed differential game guidance laws, the proposed guidance law reduces the number of state updates of the cooperative system controller by 65.36 %. The computational burden and communication resources of the control system can be greatly reduced. © 2024 Northeast University. All rights reserved.
