Coal-fired power plant is a major contributor to greenhouse gas *** post-combustion capture is a promising method for CO_(2)emission reduction but the high thermal demand is *** address this issue,solar thermal energy and CO_(2)capture are jointly integrated into the coal-fired power plant in this *** solar thermal energy is employed to meet the heat requirement of the CO_(2)capture process,thereby avoiding the electricity loss caused by self-driven CO_(2)***,the heat released from the carbonation reaction of MgO adsorbent is integrated into the steam Rankine *** partially substituting the extracted steam for feedwater heating,the electricity output of the power plant is further *** to the results from the developed model,the system could achieve a CO_(2)capture rate of 86.5%and an electricity output enhancement of 9.8%compared to the reference system,which consists of a self-driven CO_(2)capture coal-fired power plant and PV generation *** operational strategy is also optimized and the amount of CO_(2)emission reduction on a typical day is increased by 11.06%.This work shows a way to combine fossil fuels and renewable energy for low carbon emissions and efficient power generation.

To address fixed-time consensus problems of a class of leader-follower second-order nonlinear multi-agent systems with uncertain external disturbances,the event-triggered fixed-time consensus protocol is ***,the virtual velocity is designed based on the backstepping control method to achieve the system consensus and the bound on convergence time only depending on the system ***,an event-triggered mechanism is presented to solve the problem of frequent communication between agents,and triggered condition based on state information is given for each *** is available to save communication resources,and the Zeno behaviors are ***,the delay and switching topologies of the system are also ***,the system stabilization is analyzed by Lyapunov stability ***,simulation results demonstrate the validity of the presented method.

Nitrogen-doped carbon dots as photocatalysts for organic synthesis:Effect of nitrogen content on catalytic activity

Regulating the doping of carbon dots(CDs)and the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)is essential to selectively control their application in photocatalytic organic *** study successfully synthesized five newly developed nitrogen-doped carbon dots(CDs 1-5)with varying nitrogen content,which have the ability to generate ROS when exposed to light radiation,specifically superoxide anion radicals(O_(2)•-)and singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2)).The utilization of the aforementioned nitrogen-doped CDs as photocatalysts enables the realization of their potential in facilitating efficient photocatalytic organic ***,it was observed that the photocatalytic efficiency exhibited a gradual decrease when the nitrogen content in the CDs *** order to provide more evidence for this claim,we employed a set of five CDs in the context of photocatalytic dehalogenation ofα-bromoacetophenone,photocatalytic oxidative coupling reaction of amines to imines,photooxidation reaction of sulfides to sulfoxides,and cross-dehydrogenation coupling(CDC)reaction,in which it was further observed that there was a steady decrease in the yields of photocatalytic organic reactions as the nitrogen content in CDs ***,CDs 1 exhibited the best photocatalytic efficiency,thereby reinforcing the hypothesis that a higher nitrogen content corresponds to a decreased catalytic *** study not only investigates the impact of the nitrogen content on the catalytic performance of CDs,but also offers valuable insights for the future utilization of CDs for photocatalytic organic reactions in water.

An improved analysis method for assessing the nuclear-heating impact on the stability of toroidal field magnets in fusion reactors

The superconducting magnet system of a fusion reactor plays a vital role in plasma confinement,a process that can be dis-rupted by various operational factors.A critical parameter for evaluating the temperature margin of superconducting magnets during normal operation is the nuclear heating caused by D-T *** study investigates the impact of nuclear heat-ing on a superconducting magnet system by employing an improved analysis method that combines neutronics and thermal *** the magnet system,toroidal field(TF)magnets are positioned closest to the plasma and bear the highest nuclear-heat load,making them prime candidates for evaluating the influence of nuclear heating on *** enhance the modeling accuracy and facilitate design modifications,a parametric TF model that incorporates heterogeneity is established to expedite the optimization design process and enhance the accuracy of the computations.A comparative analysis with a homogeneous TF model reveals that the heterogeneous model improves accuracy by over 12%.Considering factors such as heat load,magnetic-field strength,and cooling conditions,the cooling circuit facing the most severe conditions is selected to calculate the temperature of the *** selection streamlines the workload associated with thermal-hydraulic *** approach enables a more efficient and precise evaluation of the temperature margin of TF ***,it offers insights that can guide the optimization of both the structure and cooling strategy of superconducting magnet systems.

The reactant concentration at the catalytic interface holds the key to the activity of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),mainly referring to the capacity of adsorbing hydrogen and electron *** hydrogen adsorption free energy(ΔGH)as a reactivity descriptor,the volcano curve based on Sabatier principle is established to evaluate the hydrogen evolution activity of ***,the role of electron as reactant received insufficient attention,especially for noble metal-free compound catalysts with poor conductivity,leading to cognitive gap between electronic conductivity and apparent catalytic *** we successfully construct a series of catalyst models with gradient conductivities by regulating molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))electronic bandgap via a simple solvothermal *** demonstrate that the conductivity of catalysts greatly affects the overall catalytic *** further elucidate the key role of intrinsic conductivity of catalyst towards water electrolysis,mainly concentrating on the electron transport from electrode to catalyst,the electron accumulation process at the catalyst layer,and the charge transfer progress from catalyst to *** and experimental evidence demonstrates that,with the enhancement in electron accessibility at the catalytic interface,the dominant parameter governing overall HER activity gradually converts from electron accessibility to combination of electron accessibility and hydrogen adsorbing *** results provide the insight from various perspective for developing noble metal-free catalysts in electrocatalysis beyond HER.

Zinc-ion batteries are promising for large-scale electrochemical energy storage systems,which still suffer from interfacial issues,e.g.,hydrogen evolution side reaction(HER),self-corrosion,and uncontrollable dendritic Zn *** the regulation of electric double layer(EDL)has been verified for interfacial issues,the principle to select the additive as the regulator is still ***,several typical amino acids with different characteristics were examined to reveal the interfacial behaviors in regulated EDL on the Zn *** charged acidic polarity(NCAP)has been unveiled as the guideline for selecting additive to reconstruct EDL with an inner zincophilic H_(2)O-poor layer and to replace H_(2)O molecules of hydrated Zn^(2+)with NCAP *** the synergistic effects of EDL regulation,the uncontrollable interface is significantly stabilized from the suppressed HER and anti-self-corrosion with uniform ***,by adding NCAP glutamate,a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.83%of Zn metal is achieved in Zn|Cu asymmetrical cell for over 2000 cycles,and NH4V4O10|Zn full cell exhibits a high-capacity retention of 82.1%after 3000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1).Recapitulating,the NCAP principle posted here can quicken the design of trailblazing electrolyte additives for aqueous Zn-based electrochemical energy storage systems.

Ionic gel(IG)electrolytes are emerging as promising components for the development of next-generation supercapacitors(SCs),offering benefits in terms of safety,cost-effectiveness,and *** ionic conductivity,stability,and mechanical properties of the gel electrolyte are relevant factors to be considered and the key to improving the performance of the ***,the structure–activity relationship between the internal structure of IGs and their SC properties is not fully *** the current study,the intuitive and regular structure–activity relationship between the structure and properties of IGs was revealed via combining computational simulation and *** terms of conductivity,the ionic liquid(IL)([EMIM][TFSI])in the IG has a high self-diffusion coefficient calculated by molecular dynamics simulation(MDS),which is conductive to transfer and then improves the *** radial distribution function of the MDS shows that the larger the g(r)between the particles in the polymer network,the stronger the *** stability,IGs based on[EMIM][TFSI]and[EOMIM][TFSI]ILs have higher density functional theory calculated binding energy,which is reflected in the excellent thermal stability and excellent capacitor cycle *** on the internal pore size distribution and stress-strain characterization of the gel network([ME3MePy][TFSI]and[BMIM][TFSI]as additives),the highly crosslinked aggregate network significantly reduces the internal mesoporous distribution and plays a leading role in improving the mechanical properties of the *** using this strategy,it will be possible to design the ideal structure of the IG and achieve excellent performance.

The function of solid electrolytes and the composition of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)are highly significant for inhibiting the growth of Li ***,we report an in-situ interfacial passivation combined with self-adaptability strategy to reinforce Li_(0.33)La_(0.557)TiO_(3)(LLTO)-based solid-state ***,a functional SEI enriched with LiF/Li_(3)PO_(4) is formed by in-situ electrochemical conversion,which is greatly beneficial to improving interface compatibility and enhancing ion *** the polarized dielectric BaTiO_(3)-polyamic acid(BTO-PAA,BP)film greatly improves the Li-ion transport kinetics and homogenizes the Li *** expected,the resulting electrolyte offers considerable ionic conductivity at room temperature(4.3 x 10~(-4)S cm^(-1))and appreciable electrochemical decomposition voltage(5.23 V)after electrochemical *** Li-LiFePO_(4) batteries,it shows a high specific capacity of 153 mA h g^(-1)at 0.2C after 100 cycles and a long-term durability of 115 mA h g^(-1)at 1.0 C after 800 ***,a stable Li plating/stripping can be achieved for more than 900 h at 0.5 mA cm^(-2).The stabilization mechanisms are elucidated by ex-situ XRD,ex-situ XPS,and ex-situ FTIR techniques,and the corresponding results reveal that the interfacial passivation combined with polarization effect is an effective strategy for improving the electrochemical *** present study provides a deeper insight into the dynamic adjustment of electrode-electrolyte interfacial for solid-state lithium batteries.

Efficient recovery of tungsten from scheelite concentrates using a sulfur-phosphorus mixed acid leaching system

In recent years,a new process for leaching scheelite concentrates with sulfur-phosphorus mixed acid has been successfully *** process suffers from the elimination of the retarding effect of calcium sulfate,the selective extraction of tungsten from the H3PW12O40-H2SO4-H3PO4mixture solution,and the removal of introduced ***,in this paper,we investigated the inhibition measures of a calcium sulfate-blocking membrane,the selective extraction of tungsten by ion exchange,and the removal of phosphorus by the magnesium ammonium salt *** results showed that the addition of calcium sulfate whisker seeds and a higher H3PO4concentration inhibited spontaneous diffuse nucleation,promoted crystal growth,and avoided the formation of a dense blocking *** 98 wt.% of the scheelite concentrate was digested by *** selective adsorption of PW12O403-was realized using D301 resin,and the extraction efficiency of tungsten exceeded 99.9%.After desorption with ammonia water,PW12O403-was depolymerized into WO42-and PO43-.99.9 wt.% of phosphorus was removed in the form of MgNH4PO4by the magnesium ammonium salt method,and the residual phosphorus concentration in the solution was lower than 10 mg·*** purification,the highest-grade ammonium paratungstate product was prepared by evaporative crystallization.
