Pulse-doubling perovskite nanowire lasers enabled by phonon-assisted multistep energy funneling

Laser pulse multiplication from an optical gain medium has shown great potential in miniaturizing integrated optoelectronic *** multiple quantum wells(MQWs)structures have recently been recognized as an effective gain media capable of doubling laser pulses that do not rely on external optical *** the light amplifications enabled with pulse doubling are reported based on the perovskite MQWs thin films,the micronanolasers possessed a specific cavity for laser pulse multiplication and their corresponding intrinsic laser dynamics are still ***,a single-mode double-pulsed nanolaser from self-assembled perovskite MQWs nanowires is realized,exhibiting a pulse duration of 28 ps and pulse interval of 22 ps based on single femtosecond laser pulse *** is established that the continuous energy building up within a certain timescale is essential for the multiple population inversion in the gain medium,which arises from the slowing carrier localization process owning to the stronger exciton–phonon coupling in the smaller-n ***,the double-pulsed lasing is achieved from one fast energy funnel process from the adjacent small-n QWs to gain active region and another slow process from the spatially separated *** report may shed new light on the intrinsic energy relaxation mechanism and boost the further development of perovskite multiple-pulse lasers.

Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode ***,rutile TiNbO_(4-x) nanoparticles with a tunnel structure are employed as multifunctional decoration substances in combination with a carbon coating layer to improve the rate and cycle properties of mesocarbon microbeads(MCMBs).As compared to pristine MCMB,the Li^(+)diffusion coefficients of the composite anodes are enhanced due to the synergistic effect of TiNbO_(4-x)@***,the overcharge and voltage polarization of the composite anodes at high rate are obviously minimized due to the current sharing effect of the high-potential TiNbO_(4-x).Moreover,the amorphous Li_(y)TiNbO_(4-x) converted from TiNbO_(4-x) in the initial lithiation process can deliver pseudocapacitive capacity to the composite anodes from the second *** of these functions of TiNbO_(4-x)@Ccoating layer have directly contributed to the improved rate and cycle performance of the MCMB/TiNbO_(4-x)@C composite *** one containing 12.0 wt%TiNbO_(4-x) exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 118 m Ah·g^(-1)at 10C(1C=372 m A·g^(-1)),together with a high capacity retention of 90.9%after 300 cycles at 3C,which are all much superior to those of pristine MCMB.

Formation mechanism of surface oxide layer of grain-oriented silicon steel

The surface oxide layer of grain-oriented electrical steels was investigated by scanning electron *** formation mechanism and the influence on the glass film of the surface oxide layer were analyzed by the calculation of thermodynamics and *** surface oxide layer with 2.3μm in thickness is mainly composed of SiO_(2),a small amount of FeO and Fe_(2)SiO_(4).During the formation of surface oxide layer,the restriction factor was the diffusion of O in the oxide *** the initial stage of the decarburization annealing,FeO would be formed on the surface ***_(2) and silicate particles rapidly nucleated,grew and formed a granular oxide layer in the *** the oxidation layer thickens,the nucleation of new particles decreases,and the growth of oxide particles would be dominant.A lamellar oxide layer was formed between the surface oxide layer and the steel matrix,and eventually formed a typical three-layer *** the high temperature annealing,MgO mainly reacted with SiO_(2) and Fe_(2)SiO_(4) in the surface oxide layer to form Mg2SiO_(4) and Fe_(2)SiO_(4) would respond first,thus forming the glass film with average thickness of 4.87μm.

Investigation on Combustion Characteristics and NO Formation of Methane with Swirling and Non-Swirling High Temperature Air

Combustion characteristics of methane jet flames in an industrial burner working in high temperature combustion regime were investigated experimentally and numerically to clarify the effects of swirling high temperature air on ***-Sarkar-Gatski(SSG) Reynolds stress model,Eddy-Dissipation Model(EDM),Discrete Ordinates Method(DTM) combined with Weighted-Sum-of-Grey Gases Model(WSGG) were employed for the numerical *** Thermal-NO and Prompt-NO mechanism were considered to evaluate the NO *** distribution,NO emissions by experiment and computation in swirling and non-swirling patterns show combustion characteristics of methane jet flames are totally ***-swirling high temperature air made high NO formation while significant NO prohibition were achieved by swirling high temperature ***,velocity fields,dimensionless major species mole fraction distributions and Thermal-NO molar reaction rate profiles by computation interpret an inner exhaust gas recirculation formed in the combustion zone in swirling case.

Grafting of Hexafluoropropylene onto Polytetramethylene Glycol by Radical Reaction

A well-defined modification of polytetramethylene glycol （PTMG） was realized by radical grafting with hexafluoropropylene （HFP）. The structure of grafted product was confirmed by means of IR, ^1H NMR and ^13C NMR. The effects of the amount of initiator, reaction time and temperature on the grafting HFP onto PTMG were investigated.

Five-equation and robust three-equation methods for solution verification of large eddy simulation

This study evaluates the recently developed general framework for solution verification methods for large eddy simulation（LES） using implicitly filtered LES of periodic channel flows at friction Reynolds number of 395 on eight systematically refined *** seven-equation method shows that the coupling error based on Hypothesis I is much smaller as compared with the numerical and modeling errors and therefore can be neglected. The authors recommend five-equation method based on Hypothesis II, which shows a monotonic convergence behavior of the predicted numerical benchmark（S_C）, and provides realistic error estimates without the need of fixing the orders of accuracy for either numerical or modeling errors. Based on the results from seven-equation and five-equation methods, less expensive three and four-equation methods for practical LES applications were derived. It was found that the new three-equation method is robust as it can be applied to any convergence types and reasonably predict the error trends. It was also observed that the numerical and modeling errors usually have opposite signs, which suggests error cancellation play an essential role in LES. When Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes（RANS） based error estimation method is applied, it shows significant error in the prediction of S_C on coarse meshes. However, it predicts reasonable S_C when the grids resolve at least 80% of the total turbulent kinetic energy.

Anthropogenic heat emissions(AHE)play an important role in modulating the atmospheric thermodynamic and kinetic properties within the urban planetary boundary layer,particularly in densely populated megacities like *** this study,we estimate the AHE by using a Large-scale Urban Consumption of energY(LUCY)model and further couple LUCY with a high-resolution regional chemical transport model to evaluate the impact of AHE on atmospheric environment in *** areas with high AHE,the 2-m temperature(T_(2))increased to varying degrees and showed distinct diurnal and seasonal variations with maxima in night and *** increase in 10-m wind speed(WS_(10))and planetary boundary layer height(PBLH)exhibited slight diurnal variations but showed significant seasonal ***,the systematic continuous precipitation increased by 2.1 mm due to the increase in PBLH and water vapor in upper *** contrast,the precipitation in local thermal convective showers increased little because of the limited water ***,the PM_(2.5) reduced in areas with high AHE because of the increase in WS_(10) and PBLH and continued to reduce as the pollution levels *** contrast,in areas where prevailing wind direction was opposite to that of thermal circulation caused by AHE,the WS_(10) reduced,leading to increased PM_(2.5).The changes of PM_(2.5) illustrated that a reasonable AHE scheme might be an effective means to improve the performance of PM_(2.5) ***,high AHE aggravated the O_(3) pollution in urban areas due to the reduction in NO_(x).
