A method for correcting characteristic X-ray net peak count from drifted shadow peak

To correct spectral peak drift and obtain more reliable net counts,this study proposes a long short-term memory(LSTM)model fused with a convolutional neural network(CNN)to accurately estimate the relevant parameters of a nuclear pulse signal by learning of samples.A predefined mathematical model was used to train the CNN-LSTM model and generate a dataset composed of distorted pulse *** trained model was validated using simulated *** relative errors in the amplitude estimation of pulse sequences with different degrees of distortion were obtained using triangular shaping,CNN-LSTM,and LSTM *** a result,for severely distorted pulses,the relative error of the CNN-LSTM model in estimating the pulse parameters was reduced by 14.35%compared with that of the triangular shaping *** slightly distorted pulses,the relative error of the CNN-LSTM model was reduced by 0.33%compared with that of the triangular shaping *** model was then evaluated considering two performance indicators,the correction ratio and the efficiency ratio,which represent the proportion of the increase in peak area of the two characteristic peak regions of interest(ROIs)to the peak area of the corrected characteristic peak ROI and the proportion of the increase in peak area of the two characteristic peak ROIs to the peak areas of the two shadow peak ROI,*** measurement results of the iron ore samples indicate that approximately 86.27%of the decreased peak area of the shadow peak ROI was corrected to the characteristic peak ROI,and the proportion of the corrected peak area to the peak area of the characteristic peak ROI was approximately 1.72%.The proposed CNN-LSTM model can be applied to X-ray energy spectrum correction,which is of great significance for X-ray spectroscopy and elemental content analyses.

Stimuli-evoked NOergic molecules and neuropeptides at acupuncture points and the gracile nucleus contribute to signal transduction of propagated sensation along the meridian through the dorsal medulla-thalamic pathways

Numerous studies from different international groups have demonstrated that sensations can be propagated along acupuncture channel *** propagated sensation along the channel pathway(PSCP)can be elicited by electroacupuncture(EA),transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS),manual acupuncture(ma),and heat applied to distal acupuncture points(acupoints).Nitric oxide(NO)levels were reported to be elevated in the gracile nucleus and skin regions near to the EA sites,with higher levels at acupoints associated with an enhanced expression of NO synthase and transient receptor potential vanilloid type *** stimuli,EA,ma,TENS,and heat,have been used to elicit axonal reflexes,which increase local release of NO and neuropeptides such as calcitonin gene related ***,the sensation of PSCP along the body surface occurs only ipsilaterally to the stimulated acupoints in various human studies,which does not support the involvement of the spinal-thalamic pathway,which would involve cross over transmission of the *** gracile nucleus receives ascending input from the sciatic nerve and responds to somatosensory stimulation mainly on the ipsilateral side via the dorsal column *** at Zusanli(ST36)increases NO release and expression of NO synthase mainly in the ipsilateral side of the gracile nucleus,while the cardiovascular effects and analgesic responses to EA at ST36 are changed by influences of l-arginine-derived NO synthesis in the ipsilateral gracile nucleus in *** stimuli-induced release of NOergic molecules and neuropeptides exist high levels in the acupoints,which contain rich neuronal components and blood *** NOergic molecules at acupoints cause axon reflexes during the stimuli,which elevate cutaneous blood *** NOergic molecules and local blood flow may spread over acupoints one after another along the meridian lines differing from nerve pathways following the stimuli to induce *** same types of stimula

Hydration lubrication modulated by water structure at TiO2–aqueous interfaces

The nature of solid-liquid interfaces is of great significance in *** advances have been made in lubrication based on hydration ***,a detailed molecular-level understanding is still ***,we investigated water molecule behaviors at the TiO2-aqueous interfaces by the sum-frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy(SFG-VS)and atomic force microscope(AFM)to elucidate the fundamental role of solid-liquid interfaces in *** contributions of water structures and hydration effects were revealed,where water structures played the dominant role in lubrication for TiO2 surfaces of varying hydrophilicity,while hydration effects dominated with the increasing of ion *** lubrication is observed on the initial TiO2 surfaces with strongly H-bonded water molecules compared to the hydrophilic TiO2 surfaces with more disordered *** stable ordered water arrangement with strong hydrogen bonds and the shear plane occurring between the ordered water layer and subsequent water layer may play a significant role in achieving lower *** adsorbed hydrated molecules with the increasing ionic concentration perturb ordered water but lead to the enhancement of hydration effects,which is the main reason for the improved lubrication for both *** work provides more insights into the detailed molecular-level understanding of the mechanism of hydration lubrication.

Superlubricity control is of great interest in both industry and scientific research,and several methods have been proposed to achieve this *** this work,ultraviolet(UV)light was introduced into titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))and silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4))tribosystems to accomplish photoinduced *** friction coefficients(COFs)between Si_(3)N_(4) balls and TiO_(2) plates in the mixtures of sulfuric acid(H^(2)SO_(4))solution and glycerol solution were obviously reduced,and the system entered the superlubricity region(COFmation of silica(SiO_(2))layers on the surfaces of Si_(3)N_(4) balls and the elastohydrodynamic effects were determined to be fundamental to the low friction in this experiment,and the enhancement of the combination between the TiO_(2) surface and the hydroxy group of glycerol by UV illumination was the key to the photoinduced superlubricity in this *** findings showed one method for achieving superlubricity by introducing a light field that could be further applied to special working conditions.

Guest-adaptive chiral coassembly of a conformationally locked host into supramolecular boxes and ladders through arene-perfluoroarene force

Unveiling the role of weak non-covalent forces in chiral self-assembly is pivotal in the design and fabrication of functional chiroptical *** nature of arene-perfluoroarene(AP)force is the electrostatic attraction betweenπ-hole andπplanes of perfluoroarenes and polyaromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),which is emerging in constructing supramolecular motifs and coassembled optical *** this work,we reveal the potential of AP forces in building diversified levels of chiral coassemblies adaptive to the geometries of *** naphthalene-F8was covalently conjugated with a chiral amine,which folded into a semi-rectangular geometry via two intramolecular F···H *** of naphthalene,anthracene,pyrene,carbazole,perylene and benzoperylene were introduced to afford coassemblies in the crystalline state.X-ray structures suggest the formation of supramolecular boxes that encapsulate the PAHs with a 2:1 stoichiometric ratio,as well as the formation of consecutive layered ladders with a 1:1 stoichiometric *** preference is adaptive to the geometries of PAHs,and experimental and computational results evidenced the ladder structures possess strong binding *** this top,the selective chiral recognition in the mixtures of PAHs was realized,which shows promising applications in the separation of PAHs and rational design of crystalline chiroptical materials.

MCR-YOLO model for underwater target detection based on multi-color spatial features

Within the fields of underwater robotics and ocean information processing, computer vision-based underwater target detection is an important area of research. Underwater target detection is made more difficult by a number of problems with underwater imagery, such as low contrast, color distortion, fuzzy texture features, and noise interference, which are caused by the limitations of the unique underwater imaging environment. In order to solve the above challenges, this paper proposes a multi-color space residual you only look once(MCR-YOLO) model for underwater target detection. First, the RGB image is converted into YCb Cr space, and the brightness channel Y is used to extract the non-color features of color-biased images based on improved Res Net50. Then, the output features of three scales are combined between adjacent scales to exchange information. At the same time, the image features integrated with low-frequency information are obtained via the low-frequency feature extraction branch and the three-channel RGB image, and the features from the three scales of the two branches are fused at the corresponding scales. Finally, multi-scale fusion and target detection are accomplished utilizing the path aggregation network(PANet) framework. Experiments on relevant datasets demonstrate that the method can improve feature extraction of critical targets in underwater environments and achieve good detection accuracy.

Despite the promising potential of transition metal oxides(TMOs)as capacitive deionization(CDI)electrodes,the actual capacity of TMOs electrodes for sodium storage is significantly lower than the theoretical capacity,posing a major ***,we prepared the kinetically favorable Zn_(x)Ni_(1−x)O electrode in situ growth on carbon felt(Zn_(x)Ni_(1−x)O@CF)through constraining the rate of OH^(−)generation in the hydrothermal ***_(x)Ni_(1−x)O@CF exhibited a high-density hierarchical nanosheet structure with three-dimensional open pores,benefitting the ion transport/electron *** tuning the moderate amount of redox-inert Zn-doping can enhance surface electroactive sites,actual activity of redox-active Ni species,and lower adsorption energy,promoting the adsorption kinetic and thermodynamic of the Zn_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)O@*** from the kinetic-thermodynamic facilitation mechanism,Zn_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)O@CF achieved ultrahigh desalination capacity(128.9 mgNaCl g^(-1)),ultra-low energy consumption(0.164 kW h kgNaCl^(-1)),high salt removal rate(1.21 mgNaCl g^(-1) min^(-1)),and good *** thermodynamic facilitation and Na^(+)intercalation mechanism of Zn_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)O@CF are identified by the density functional theory calculations and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring,*** research provides new insights into controlling electrochemically favorable morphology and demonstrates that Zn-doping,which is redox-inert,is essential for enhancing the electrochemical performance of CDI electrodes.

Effects of electrothermal ageing on dielectric performance of metallised biaxial orientation polypropylene film capacitors in strong magnetic fields

The dielectric performance of the pristine and the electrothermal-aged metallised polypropylene capacitors are investigated under different magnetic *** energy storage capacity decreases under the magnetic *** 12 T,the capacitance value of the pristine capacitors decreases by 8.4%-17%and that of the aged capacitors declines by 15%-20%.The dielectric loss is reduced by 2.6%-6.3%,but the equivalent series resistance shows an 8.3%-23.1%*** leakage conductivity increases to 202%-354%,which leads to a weakened voltage holding *** addition to the effects of the magnetic fields,the impacts of ageing have also been *** effects of the magnetic field and ageing on the electrical parameters of the capacitors are discussed *** molecular chains of the dielectric are oxidised and decomposed during the ageing process,which reduces the insulating properties of the *** magnetic field inhibits polarisation by changing the polarisation behaviour through Lorentz force and excites the electrons to enhance charge transmission.

Tuning mechanical and electrical performances of B_(4)C-TiB_(2)ceramics in a two-step spark plasma sintering process

B_(4)C–TiB_(2)is an advanced electrically conductive ceramic with excellent mechanical and electrical discharge machinable *** is challenging and rewarding to achieve highly conductive and hard B_(4)C–TiB_(2)composites at a minimum content of conductive TiB2 that has inferior hardness but double specific gravity of the B_(4)C matrix.A novel strategy was used to construct conductive networks in B_(4)C‒15 vol%TiB2 composite ceramics with B_(4)C,TiC,and amorphous B as raw materials by a two-step spark plasma sintering *** influences of particle size matching between B_(4)C and TiC on the conducting of the strategy and the microstructure were discussed based on the selective matrix grain growth *** mechanical and electrical properties were also systematically *** B_(4)C–15 vol%TiB2 composite ceramic prepared from 10.29µm B_(4)C and 0.05µm TiC powders exhibited a perfect three-dimensional interconnected conductive network with a maximum electrical conductivity of 4.25×10^(4)S/m,together with excellent mechanical properties including flexural strength,Vickers hardness,and fracture toughness of 691±58 MPa,30.30±0.61 GPa,and 5.75±0.32 MPa·m^(1/2),respectively,while the composite obtained from 3.12µm B_(4)C and 0.8µm TiC powders had the best mechanical properties including flexural strength,Vickers hardness,and fracture toughness of 827±35 MPa,32.01±0.51 GPa,and 6.45±0.22 MPa·m^(1/2),together with a decent electrical conductivity of 0.65×10^(4)S/m.
