BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)ranks sixth globally in cancer incidence and third in mortality ***,over 70% of HCC patients forego the opportunity for curative surgery or liver transplantation due to inadequate physical examinations,poor physical condition,and limited organ availability upon *** guidelines endorse transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)as the frontline treatment for intermediate to advanced-stage ***(CRA)is an emerging local ablative therapy increasingly used in HCC *** studies suggest that combining CRA with TACE offers complementary and synergistic effects,potentially improving long-term survival ***,the superiority of combined TACE+CRA therapy over TACE alone for HCC lesions equal to or exceeding 5 cm requires further *** To compare the efficacy and safety of TACE combined with CRA vs TACE alone in the treatment of HCC with a diameter of≥5 *** PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang,and VIP databases were searched to retrieve all relevant studies on TACE and CRA up to July ***-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 *** After screening according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,6 articles were included,including 2 randomized controlled trials and 4 nonrandomized controlled trials,with a total of 575 patients included in the *** results showed that the objective response rate[odds ratio(OR)=2.56,95%confidence interval(CI):1.66-3.96,P<0.0001],disease control rate(OR=3.03,95%CI:1.88-4.89,P<0.00001),1-year survival rate(OR=3.79,95%CI:2.50-5.76,P<0.00001),2-year survival rate(OR=2.34,95%CI:1.43-3.85,P=0.0008),and 3-year survival rate(OR=3.34,95%CI:1.61-6.94,P=0.001)were all superior to those of the control group;the postoperative decrease in alpha-fetoprotein value(OR=295.53,95%CI:250.22-340.85,P<0.0001),the postoperative increase in CD4 value(OR=10.59,95%CI:8.78-12.40,P<0.00001),and the postoperative decrease in

This paper addresses an iterative learning control(ILC) design problem for discrete-time linear systems with randomly varying trial lengths. Due to the variation of the trial lengths, a stochastic matrix and an iteration-average operator are introduced to present a unified expression of ILC scheme. By using the framework of lifted system, the learning convergence condition of ILC in mathematical expectation is derived without using λ-norm. It is shown that the requirement on classic ILC that all trial lengths must be identical is mitigated and the identical initialization condition can be also removed. In the end, two illustrative examples are presented to demonstrate the performance and the effectiveness of the proposed ILC scheme for both time-invariant and time-varying linear systems.

Sensitivity loop shaping using add-on peak filters is a simple and effective method to reject narrow-band disturbances in hard disk drive （HDD） servo systems. The parallel peak filter is introduced to provide high-gain magnitude in the concerned frequency range of open-loop transfer function. Different from almost all the known peak filters that possess second-order structures, we explore in this paper bow high-order peak filters can be designed to improve the loop shaping performance. The main idea is to replace some of the constant coefficients of common second-order peak filter by frequency-related transfer functions, and then differential evolution （DE） algorithm is adopted to perform optimal design. We creatively introduce chromosome coding and fitness function design, which are original and the key steps that lead to the success of DE applications in control system design. In other words, DE is modified to achieve a novel design for hard disk drive control. Owing to the remarkable searching ability of DE, the expected shape of sensitivity function can be achieved by incorporating the resultant high-order peak filter in parallel with baseline feedback controller. As a result, a seventh-order peak filter is designed to compensate for contact-induced vibration in a high-density HDD servo system, where the benefits of high-order filter are clearly demonstrated.

Spontaneous esophageal rupture,or Boerhaave syndrome,is a rare but potentially fatal condition with a mortality rate ranging from 20%to 30%in the literature.[1]In some European countries,the incidence is below 3 to 6/1,000,000 persons.[2]Nowadays,the treatment of this disease remains a challenge to physicians due to the variable clinical manifestations and lack of consensus or guidelines.[3]To better understand this disease and summarize our experience in this field,we searched the medical files at our hospital using both electronic and manual ***,we report a series of 73 patients with spontaneous esophageal rupture in a single center over two *** April 1983 and June 2013,a total of 73 consecutive patients were diagnosed with spontaneous esophageal rupture at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical *** clinical data were collected retrospectively with all of the patients’informed consent and the study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.

We study inverse spectral problems for radial Schrodinger operators in L^(2)(0,1).It is well known that for a radial Schrodinger operator,two spectra for the different boundary conditions can uniquely determine the ***,if the spectra corresponding to the radial Schrodinger operators with the two potential functions miss a finite number of eigenvalues,what is the relationship between the two potential functions?Inspired by Hochstadt(1973)'s work,which handled the Sturm-Liouville operator with the potential q∈L^(1)(0,1),we give a corresponding result for radial Schrodinger operators with a larger class of potentials than L^(1)(0,1).When q∈L^(1)(0,1),we also consider the case where the spectra corresponding to the radial Schrodinger operators with the two potential functions miss an infinite number of eigenvalues and the eigenvalues are close in some sense.

When designing large-sized complex machinery products, the design focus is always on the overall per- formance; however, there exist no design theory and method based on performance driven. In view of the defi- ciency of the existing design theory, according to the performance features of complex mechanical products, the performance indices are introduced into the traditional design theory of ＂Requirement-Function-Structure＂ to construct a new five-domain design theory of ＂Client Requirement-Function-Performance-Structure-Design Parameter＂. To support design practice based on this new theory, a product data model is established by using per- formance indices and the mapping relationship between them and the other four domains. When the product data model is applied to high-speed train design and combining the existing research result and relevant standards, the corresponding data model and its structure involving five domains of high-speed trains are established, which can provide technical support for studying the relationships between typical performance indices and design parame- ters and the fast achievement of a high-speed train scheme design. The five domains provide a reference for the design specification and evaluation criteria of high speed train and a new idea for the train＇s parameter design.

The traditional operation of the Three Gorges Reservoir has mainly focused on water for flood control, power generation, navigation, water supply, and recreation, and given less attention to the negative impacts of reservoir operation on the river ecosystem. In order to reduce the negative influence of reservoir operation, ecological operation of the reservoir should be studied with a focus on maintaining a healthy river ecosystem. This study considered ecological operation targets, including maintaining the river environmental flow and protecting the spawning and reproduction of the Chinese sturgeon and four major Chinese carps. Using flow data from 1900 to 2006 at the Yichang gauging station as the control station data for the Yangtze River, the minimal and optimal river environmental flows were analyzed, and eco-hydrological targets for the Chinese sturgeon and four major Chinese carps in the Yangtze River were calculated. This paper proposes a reservoir ecological operation model, which comprehensively considers flood control, power generation, navigation, and the ecological environment. Three typical periods, wet, normal, and dry years, were selected, and the particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to analyze the model. The results show that ecological operation modes have different effects on the economic benefit of the hydropower station, and the reservoir ecological operation model can simulate the flood pulse for the requirements of spawning of the Chinese sturgeon and four major Chinese carps. According to the results, by adopting a suitable re-operation scheme, the hydropower benefit of the reservoir will not decrease dramatically while the ecological demand is met. The results provide a reference for designing reasonable operation schemes for the Three Gorges Reservoir.
