In this paper,firstly,we give a counterexample to point out there exist deficiencies in our previous works(Wu et al.in J Glob Optim 31:45-60,2005).In addition,we improve the corresponding results.Finally,an example is presented to illustrate how a monotone non-convex optimization problem can be transformed into an equivalent convex minimization problem.

In this paper, we obtain some stability results for perturbed vector equilibrium problems. Under new assumptions, which are weaker than the assumption of C-strict monotonicity, we provide sufficient conditions for the Painlev^-Kuratowski Convergence of the weak efficient solution sets and efficient solution sets for the perturbed vector equilibrium problems with a sequence of mappings converging in real linear metric spaces. These results extend and improve some known results in the literature.

In this paper, stability results of solution mappings to perturbed vector generalized system are studied. Firstly, without the assumption of monotonicity, the Painleve-Kuratowski convergence of global efficient solution sets of a family of perturbed problems to the corresponding global efficient solution set of the generalized system is obtained, where the perturbations are performed on both the objective function and the feasible set. Then, the density and Painleve-Kuratowski convergence results of efficient solution sets are established by using gamma convergence, which is weaker than the assumption of continuous convergence. These results extend and improve the recent ones in the literature.

We propose a deterministic bicriteria model for stochastic variational inequalities based on some existing deterministic models.We reformulate the bicriteria model into a single objective problem involving a conditional value-at-risk(CVaR)term and introduce two approximation methods for solving the single objective problem,which are based on the primal and dual formulations of CVaR,respectively.In particular,for the primal problem,we introduce a smooth approximation of CVaR and establish some properties for this approximation problem.Then,we use sample average approximation methods to deal with the single objective problem and investigate the limiting behaviors of optimal solutions and stationary points.For the dual problem,we regularize the inner maximization problem and demonstrate the convergence of the approximation.

In this paper, firstly, a new notion of generalized cone convex set-valued map is introduced in real normed spaces. Secondly, a property of the generalized cone convex set-valued map involving the contingent epiderivative is obtained. Finally, as the applications of this property, we use the contingent epiderivative to establish optimality conditions of the set-valued optimization problem with generalized cone convex set-valued maps in the sense of Henig proper efficiency. The results obtained in this paper generalize and improve some known results in the literature.

BACKGROUND Previous reports have suggested that the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway is involved in the development of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)-related acute lung injury(ALI).Inhibition of p38 by SB203580 blocked the inflammatory responses in SAP-ALI.However,the precise mechanism associated with p38 is unclear,particularly in pulmonary microvascular endothelial cell(PMVEC)injury.AIM To determine its role in the tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)-induced inflammation and apoptosis of PMVECs in vitro.We then conducted in vivo experiments to confirm the effect of SB203580-mediated p38 inhibition on SAP-ALI.METHODS In vitro,PMVEC were transfected with mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 6(Glu),which constitutively activates p38,and then stimulated with TNF-α.Flow cytometry and western blotting were performed to detect the cell apoptosis and inflammatory cytokine levels,respectively.In vivo,SAP-ALI was induced by 5%sodium taurocholate and three different doses of SB203580(2.5,5.0 or 10.0 mg/kg)were intraperitoneally injected prior to SAP induction.SAP-ALI was assessed by performing pulmonary histopathology assays,measuring myeloperoxidase activity,conducting arterial blood gas analyses and measuring TNF-α,interleukin(IL)-1βand IL-6 levels.Lung microvascular permeability was measured by determining bronchoalveolar lavage fluid protein concentration,Evans blue pulmonary cells was confirmed by performing a terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling analysis and examining the Bcl2,Bax,Bim and cle-caspase3 levels.The proteins levels of P-p38,NFκB,IκB,P-signal transducer and activator of transcription-3,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,HO-1 and Myd88 were detected in the lungs to further evaluate the potential mechanism underlying the protective effect of SB203580.RESULTS In vitro,mitogen-activated protein kinase(Glu)transfection resulted in higher apoptotic rates and cytokine(IL-1βand IL-6)levels in TNF-α-treated PMVECs.In vivo,SB2035080 attenuated lung

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a prevalent malignancy,and transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)has emerged as a pivotal therapeutic modality.How-ever,TAE may induce symptom distress and fatigue,adversely affecting the quality of life of patients.AIM To investigate symptom distress,fatigue,and associated factors in HCC patients undergoing TAE.METHODS We used a cross-sectional design and purposive sampling to enroll HCC patients who underwent TAE at our institution from January to December 2022.Question-naires were utilized to collect data on symptom distress and fatigue scores from the first to the third day after TAE.RESULTS Our study revealed a significant reduction in fatigue and symptom distress among patients after TAE.Pain,fatigue,insomnia,fever and abdominal dis-tension were the most common symptoms troubling patients during the first 3 d post-TAE.Marital status,presence of family support,physical functional status,age,and symptom distress were identified as predictors of fatigue in patients.CONCLUSION Healthcare professionals should educate HCC patients on symptom distress and INTRODUCTION Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)ranks as the fifth most prevalent cancer and the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally.Surgical intervention remains the cornerstone of HCC treatment;however,due to the challenges associated with early diagnosis and the lack of specific diagnostic markers,a considerable proportion of patients are diagnosed at advanced stages,rendering them ineligible for surgical interventions.Transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)is an interventional therapeutic approach involving the insertion of a fine catheter via the femoral artery to reach the vasculature near the tumor site.TAE aims to obstruct the arterial supply to the tumor by deploying embolic agents,thereby inducing necrosis in cancer cells.This procedure is suitable for patients with good liver function and overall health,particularly those with large HCCs that have not invaded the portal vein[1,2].Nonetheless,

The rapid synthesis of structurally complicated electron donors&acceptors still remains a major challenge in organic solar cells(OSC).In this work,we developed a highly efficient strategy to access long-chain oligomeric donor and acceptors for OSC applications.A series of cyclopentadithiophene(CPDT)and benzothiadiazole(BT)-basedπ-conjugated oligomers,i.e.,three oligomeric acceptors(BTDT)n-IC(n=1—3)and one long-chain oligomeric donor(BTDT)4-RD,are facilely synthesized by an atom-and step-economical,and labor-saving direct C—H arylation(DACH)reaction(i.e.,C—H/C—Br cross coupling).Note that(BTDT)4-RD involving five CPDT,four BT and two rhodamine(RD)building blocks is the longest oligomeric donor in the fullerene-free OSC devices ever reported.The dependence of the structure-property-performance correlation of(BTDT)n-IC(n=1—3)and(BTDT)4-RD on theπ-conjugation lengths is thoroughly investigated by opto-electrochemical measurements,bulk heterojunction(BHJ)OSC devices and microscopies.The(BTDT)1-IC:PBDB-T and(BTDT)4-RD:Y6 BHJs achieve power conversion efficiencies of 9.14%and 4.51%,respectively.Our findings demonstrate that DACH reaction is a powerful tool to tune the opto-electronic properties and device performances by regulating the lengths ofπ-conjugated oligomers with varied numbers of repeating units.
