Phosphorus(P)is essential for living plants,and P deficiency is one of the key factors limiting the yield in rapeseed production worldwide.As the most important organ for plants,root morphology traits(RMTs)play a key role in P absorption.To investigate the genetic variability of RMT under low P availability,we dissected the genetic structure of RMTs by genome-wide association studies(GWAS),linkage mapping and candidate gene association studies(CGAS).A total of 52 suggestive loci were associated with RMTs under P stress conditions in 405 oilseed rape accessions.The purple acid phosphatase gene BnPAP17 was found to control the lateral root number(LRN)and root dry weight(RDW)under low P stress.The expression of BnPAP17 was increased in shoot tissue in P-efficient cultivars compared to root tissue and P-inefficient cultivars in response to low P stress.Moreover,the haplotype of BnPAP17^(Hap3)was detected for the selective breeding of P efficiency in oilseed rape.Over-expression of the BnPAP17^(Hap3)could promote the shoot and root growth with enhanced tolerance to low P stress and organic phosphorus(Po)utilization in oilseed rape.Collectively,these findings increase our understanding of the mechanisms underlying BnPAP17-mediated low P stress tolerance in oilseed rape.

Sulphur hexafluoride(SF_(6))is widely used in gas insulation,and its decomposition products can be used to diagnose potential insulation failures.Quick and accurate detection of decomposition products can help to understand equipment-operating conditions in time.In this study,the decomposition products of SF_(6)/air gas mixtures under different pulsed discharge voltages were studied.It was found that the main products were SOF_(2),SO_(2)F_(2),SO_(2),CF_(4)and SOF_(4),and the yields of SOF_(2),SO_(2)F_(2),SO_(2)and SOF_(4)increased with the number of discharge pulse.The productive rate of SOF_(2),SO_(2)and SOF_(4)were positively correlated with the discharge voltage,and when the discharge voltage increased from 5 to 15 kV,their yields after 50,000 discharges increased by 49%,120%and 1100%,respectively.The productive rate of SOF_(2)and SO_(2)were positively correlated with the proportion of air in the gas mixtures while that of SOF_(4)was opposite.When the proportion of air increases from 0%to 90%,their yields after 50,000 discharges became 270%,3169%and 10%of the originals,respectively.In addition,the productive rate of SO_(2)F_(2)was not affected by discharge voltage and the proportion of air in the gas mixtures.SO_(2)F_(2),SOF_(2),SOF_(4)and SO_(2)can be used as the basis for judging the discharge failures and the discharge degree of power equipment.

In a multi-lane area,the increasing randomness of lane changes contributes to traffic insecurity and local traffic flow instability.A study on safe lane shifting activity that focuses on threat assessment under real-time knowledge is necessary to enhance smooth vehicle flow.This paper proposed amore comprehensive lane changing guidance rule to investigate the status of surrounding vehicles to accommodate future vehicle-on-road collaborative environments based on these parameters 1)lane change demand and 2)treat assessment function.The collaborative relationships between vehicles are analyzed using a cellular automata model based on their location,velocity,and acceleration.We analyze and examine the relationship between the number of lanes and traffic flow when the road capacity is heavily mined via intelligent lane changing.Our analysis can further provide theoretical guidance for the selection of road expansion mode.Our proposed STCA-L is compared based on the average speed,average flow,lane changing frequency,spatial and temporal pattern of STCA,STCA-I,and STCA-S,and STCA-M under different vehicle densities.The numerical simulation results show that our proposed STCA-L provides themost flexible lane changing guidance in the multi-lanes road.Moreover,the simulated results show that the exponential growth of physical space cannot provide the corresponding increase in the average flow of vehicles.

Visual attention is a mechanism that enables the visual system to detect potentially important objects in complex environment. Most computational visual attention models are designed with inspirations from mammalian visual systems.However, electrophysiological and behavioral evidences indicate that avian species are animals with high visual capability that can process complex information accurately in real time. Therefore,the visual system of the avian species, especially the nuclei related to the visual attention mechanism, are investigated in this paper. Afterwards, a hierarchical visual attention model is proposed for saliency detection. The optic tectum neuron responses are computed and the self-information is used to compute primary saliency maps in the first hierarchy. The "winner-takeall" network in the tecto-isthmal projection is simulated and final saliency maps are estimated with the regularized random walks ranking in the second hierarchy. Comparison results verify that the proposed model, which can define the focus of attention accurately, outperforms several state-of-the-art models.This study provides insights into the relationship between the visual attention mechanism and the avian visual pathways. The computational visual attention model may reveal the underlying neural mechanism of the nuclei for biological visual attention.

Variation in patterns of recombination in plant genomes provides information about species evolution,genetic diversity and crop improvement. We investigated meiotic crossovers generated in biparental segregating and reciprocal backcross populations of the allopolyploid genome of rapeseed(Brassica napus)(AACC, 2n = 38). A structured set of 1445 intercrossed lines was derived from two homozygous de novo genome-assembled parents that represented the major genetic clusters of semi-winter Chinese and winter European rapeseeds, and was used to increase QTL resolution and achieve genomic reciprocal introgression. A high-density genetic map constructed with 6161 genetic bins and anchored centromere regions was used to establish the pattern of recombination variation in each chromosome. Around 93%of the genome contained crossovers at a mean rate of 3.8 c M Mb^(-1), with the remaining 7% attributed to centromeres or low marker density. Recombination hotspots predominated in the A genome, including two-thirds of those associated with breeding introgression from B. rapa. Genetic background might affect recombination variation. Introgression of genetic diversity from European winter to Chinese semi-winter rapeseed showed an increase in crossover rate under the semi-winter environment. Evidence for an elevated recombination rate having historically contributed to selective trait improvement includes accumulation of favorable alleles for seed oil content on hotspots of chromosome A10. Conversely, strong artificial selection may affect recombination rate variation, as appears to be the case with a coldspot resulting from strong selection for glucosinolate alleles on A09. But the cold region would be promptly reactivated by crossing design indicated by the pedigree analysis. Knowledge of recombination hotspots and coldspots associated with QTL for 22 traits can guide selection strategies for introgression breeding between the two gene pools. 为勘明汉语情态助动词“好MoD”的跨方言分布和语义类型,文章调查了91个方言点,其中45个方言点存在“好MoD”分布在吴语、江准官话、徽语、客家话、闽语、粤语、平话、西南官话和胶辽官话区。“好MoD”可以表达道义、能力、认识、意愿和估价情态。吴语等南方方言中“好MoD”以道义情态为核心情态类型,北方胶辽官话中“好MoD”以认识情态为核心情态类型。共时语义距离显示方言“好MoD”具有南北方差异。通过分析跨方言共时语义空间,文章观察到六项语义蕴含共性,并基于语义类型特征梳理了“好MOD”的情态类型系统。

Optimal regenerative repair of large segmental bone defect in a goat model with osteoinductive calcium phosphate bioceramic implants

So far,how to achieve the optimal regenerative repair of large load-bearing bone defects using artificial bone grafts is a huge challenge in clinic.In this study,a strategy of combining osteoinductive biphasic calcium phosphate(BCP)bioceramic scaffolds with intramedullary nail fixation for creating stable osteogenic microenvironment was applied to repair large segmental bone defects(3.0 cm in length)in goat femur model.The material characterization results showed that the BCP scaffold had the initial compressive strength of over 2.0 MPa,and total porosity of 84%.The cell culture experiments demonstrated that the scaffold had the excellent ability to promote the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs).The in vivo results showed that the intramedullary nail fixation maintained the initial stability and structural integrity of the implants at early stage,promoting the osteogenic process both guided and induced by the BCP scaffolds.At 9 months postoperatively,good integration between the implants and host bone was observed,and a large amount of newborn bones formed,accompanying with the degradation of the material.At 18 months postoperatively,almost the complete new bone substitution in the defect area was achieved.The maximum bending strength of the repaired bone defects reached to the 100% of normal femur at 18 months post-surgery.Our results demonstrated the good potential of osteoinductive BCP bioceramics in the regenerative repair of large load-bearing bone defects.The current study could provide an effective method to treat the clinical large segmental bone defects.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the analgesic effect of acupuncture at Hegu (LI 4) in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) transvaginal oocyte retrieval using ultrasonography and explore its mechanism. METHODS: Ninety patients undergoing IVF-EF oocyte retrieval were randomly divided into three groups: an acupuncture group with needles inserted into bilateral Hegu (LI 4) points, a placebo group given placebo needles, and a control group with routine oocyte retrieval. Each group had an indometacin enema 30 min before the operation. We compared the pain-rated index (PRI), visual analogy scale (VAS), and present pain intensity (PPI) immediately after operation and 1 h after operation. We also determined the neuropeptide Y (NPY) level of the follicular fluid. RESULTS: PRI, VAS, and PPI after operation and 1 hafter operation in the acupuncture group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P0.05) was observed in PRI,VAS, and PPI after operation and 1 h after operation between the placebo group and the control group.The NPY level of the follicular fluid in the acupuncture group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P0.05) was observed in the NPY level of the follicular fluid between the placebo group and the control group. CONCLUSION: The analgesic effect of acupuncture at Hegu in transvaginal oocyte retrieval using ultrasonography may be related to the increase in the NPY level of the follicular fluid.
