In this paper,we study the ability of DNA-PK-deficient(M059J) and -proficient(M059K) cells to undergo the rate of cellular proliferation,cell cycle distribution and apoptosis after 10 Gy X-ray irradiation,and the role of DNA-PK in *** results showed that M059J cells exhibited hyper-radiosensitivity compared with M059K cells.A strong G2 phase arrest was observed in M059J cells post *** accumulation in the G2 phase in M059J cells was accompanied by apoptosis at 12 ***,the data suggested that DNA-PK may have two roles in mammalian cells after DNA damage,a role in DNA DSB repair and a second role in DNA-damaged cells to traverse a G2 checkpoint,by which DNA-PK may affect cellular sensitivity to ionizing radiation.

Combining beamlet transform with steerable filters, a new edge detection method based on line gradient is proposed. Compared with operators based on point local properties, the edge-detection results with this method achieve higher SNR and position accuracy, and are quite helpful for image registration, object identification, etc. Some edge-detection experiments on optical and SAR images that demonstrate the significant improvement over classical edge operators axe also presented. Moreover, the template matching result based on edge information of optical reference image and SAR image also proves the validity of this method.

The aim of this paper is to develop some basic theories of stochastic functional differential equations (SFDEs) under the local Lipschitz condition in continuous functions space C. Firstly, we establish a global existence-uniqueness lemma for the SFDEs under the global Lipschitz condition in C without the linear growth condition. Then, under the local Lipschitz condition in C, we show that the non-continuable solution of SFDEs still exists if the drift coefficient and diffusion coefficient are square-integrable with respect to t when the state variable equals zero. And the solution of the considered equation must either explode at the end of the maximum existing interval or exist globally. Furthermore, some more general sufficient conditions for the global existence-uniqueness are obtained. Our conditions obtained in this paper are much weaker than some existing results. For example, we need neither the linear growth condition nor the continuous condition on the time t. Two examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

A typical blasting vibration wave is a composite wave,and its attenuation law is affected by the type of dominant wave *** purpose of the present study is to establish an attenuation equation of the peak particle velocity(PPV),taking into account the attenuation characteristics of P-,S-and R-waves in the blasting vibration *** blasting tests were carried out as a case to specifically apply the proposed *** view of the fact that the discrete properties of rock mass will inevitably cause the uncertainty of blasting vibration,we also carried out a probability analysis of PPV uncertainty,and introduced the concept of reliability to evaluate blasting *** results showed that the established attenuation equation had a higher prediction accuracy,and can be considered as a promising equation implemented on more complex *** adopted uncertainty analysis method can comprehensively take account of the attenuation law of blasting vibration measured on site and discrete properties of rock *** obtained distribution of the PPV uncertainty factor can quantitatively evaluate the reliability of blasting vibration,which is a powerful and necessary supplement to the PPV attenuation equation.

Study on welding process performance of HG70D high strength steel plate

In this paper, the performance of HG70D welded joint of ultra-high strength steel plates is presented, and the performance of HG70D and Q345B welded joints is studied. The high strength steel plate HG70D showed excellent weldability. Through the X-ray inspection of welded joints, tensile strength, impact test and bending performance test, the comprehensive performance of the joint was excellent. The macroscopic and microscopic metallographic analysises of the welded joints show that the welding seams included pearlite, sorbite, ferrite, etc. The influence of stress annealing temperature on HG70D of high strength steel plate was analyzed by heat treatment.

The breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility gene BRCA1 encodes a nuclear phosphoprotein, which functions as a tumor suppressor gene. Many studies suggested that multiple functions of BRCA1may contribute to its tumor suppressor activity, including roles in cell cycle checkpoints, apoptosis and transcription. It is postulated that phosphorylation of BRCA1 is an important means by which its cellular functions are regulated. In this study, we employed phospho-Ser-specific antibody recognizing Ser-1524 to study BRCA1 phosphorylation under conditions of DNA damage and the effects of phosphorylation on BRCA1 functions. The results showed that 10 Gy X-ray treatment significantly induced phosphorylation of Ser-1524 but not total BRCA1 protein levels. The expression both of p53 and p21 increased after irradiation, but ionizing radiation (IR) -induced activation of p21 was prior to that of p53. The percentages of G0/G1 phase remarkably increased after IR. In addition, no detectable levels of 89 kDa fragment of PARP, a marker of apoptotic cells, were observed. Data implied that IR-induced phosphorylation of BRCA1 at Ser-1524 might activate p21 protein, by which BRCA1 regulated cell cycle , but play no role in apoptosis.
