The physicochemical properties of liquid alternative fuels are important but difficult to measure/predict, especially when complex surrogate fuels are concerned. In the present work, machine learning is used to develop quantitative structure–property relationship models. The fuel chemical structure is represented by molecular descriptors, allowing the linking of important features of the fuel composition and key properties of fuel utilization. Feature selection is employed to select the most relevant features that describe the chemical structure of the fuel and several machine learning algorithms are tested to construct interpretable models. The effectiveness of the methodology is demonstrated through the development of accurate and interpretable predictive models for cetane numbers, with a focus on understanding the link between molecular structure and fuel properties. In this context, matrix-based descriptors and descriptors related to the number of atoms in the molecule are directly linked with the cetane number of hydrocarbons. Furthermore, the results showed that molecular connectivity indices play a role in the cetane number for aromatic molecules. Also, the methodology is extended to predict the cetane number of ester and ether molecules, leveraging the design of alternative fuels towards fully sustainable fuel utilization.

The photothermal conversion capacity of pristine organic phase change materials(PCMs)is inherently insufficient in solar energy *** upgrade their photothermal conversion capacity,we developed bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)derived Co/N co-doped flower-like carbon(Co/N-FLC)-based composite PCMs toward solar energy harvesting.3D interconnected carbon framework with low interfacial thermal resistance,abundant carbon defects and high content of nitrogen doping,excellent localized surface plasmon resonance(LsPR)effect of Co nanoparticles,and light absorber Co_(3)ZnC in Co/N-FLC synergistically upgrade the photothermal capacity of(polyethylene glycol)PEG@Co/N-FLC composite PCMs with an ultrahigh photothermal conversion efficiency of 94.8%under 0.16 W/cm^(2).Uniformly anchored Co and Co_(3)ZnC nanoparticles in carbon framework guarantee excellent photon capture *** carbon nanotubes(CNTs)in 2D carbon nanosheets further accelerate the rapid transport of phonons by constructing cross-connected heat transfer ***,PEG@Co/N-FLC exhibits a thermal energy storage density of 100.69 J/g and excellent thermal stability and durable ***,PEG@Co/N-FLC composite PCMs are promis.ng candidates to accelerate the efficient utilization of solar energy.

Neither pristine phase change materials(PCMs)nor metal-organic frame-works(MOFs)can be driven by optical/electrical/magnetic triggers for multiple energy conversion and thermal storage,which cannot satisfy the requirements of multi-scenario ***,a three-dimensional interconnected forest-type array carbon network anchored by Co nanoparticles serving as optical/electrical/magnetic multimode triggers was developed through in situ growth of two-dimensional MOF nanosheet arrays on pre-carbonized melamine foam and subsequent high-temperature *** the encapsulation of polyethylene glycol,the resulting composite PCMs simultaneously integrate fascinating photothermal,electrothermal,magnetothermal conversion and stor-age for personal *** from the synergistic enhancement of forest-type array carbon heterostructure and Co nanoparticles,composite PCMs exhibit high thermal/electrical conduction and strong full-spectrum absorption ***,low-energy photoelectric triggers are sufficient to drive high-efficiency photothermal/electrothermal conversion and storage of compos-ite PCMs(93.1%,100 mW/cm^(2);92.9%,2.5 V).Additionally,composite PCMs also exhibit excellent encapsulation stability without liquid phase leakage,long-term thermal reliability and multiple energy conversion and storage stability after multiple *** proposed photoelectromagnetic multimode triggers are aimed to inspire innovation and accelerate major breakthroughs in advanced responsive composite PCMs toward multiple energy utilization and personal thermotherapy.

Degradation under challenging conditions such as rain, haze, and low light not only diminishes content visibility, but also results in additional degradation side effects, including detail occlusion and color distortion. However, current technologies have barely explored the correlation between perturbation removal and background restoration, consequently struggling to generate high-naturalness content in challenging scenarios. In this paper, we rethink the image enhancement task from the perspective of joint optimization: Perturbation removal and texture reconstruction. To this end, we advise an efficient yet effective image enhancement model, termed the perturbation-guided texture reconstruction network(PerTeRNet). It contains two subnetworks designed for the perturbation elimination and texture reconstruction tasks, respectively. To facilitate texture recovery,we develop a novel perturbation-guided texture enhancement module(PerTEM) to connect these two tasks, where informative background features are extracted from the input with the guidance of predicted perturbation priors. To alleviate the learning burden and computational cost, we suggest performing perturbation removal in a sub-space and exploiting super-resolution to infer high-frequency background details. Our PerTeRNet has demonstrated significant superiority over typical methods in both quantitative and qualitative measures, as evidenced by extensive experimental results on popular image enhancement and joint detection tasks. Mechanical properties of semi-solid casting are dependent on multiple process.ng parameters,and improper process.ng parameters will not only reduce mean data but also increase *** present study investigated the impact of parameters in slurry preparation and heat treatment on the yield strength and ductility of T6 heat-treated A356 Al-si alloy us.ng rapid slurry forming(RsF)semi-solid *** focus was primarily on the robustness of mechanical properties based on Taguchi design *** analyzing signal-to-noise ratio and minimum value calculated from-3s,the optimum slurry preparation parameters and heat treatment parameters were determined to be no quench,enthalpy exchange material(EEM)temperature of 140℃,EEM-to-melt ratio of 6mass%,stirring time of 18 s,solution heat treated at 520℃ for 2 h,and ageing heat treated at 190℃ for 6 *** a small batch validation,the-3s yield strength and-3s elongation reach 256.1 MPa and 5.03% respectively,showing a satisfactory *** hardness and microstructure of heat-treated samples with the best and worst properties were characterized to gain insight into the underlying mechanisms affecting the mean value and variations of mechanical properties.
