Robotic-assisted proctosigmoidectomy for Hirschsprung’s disease:A multicenter prospective study

BACKGROUND Robotic surgery is a cutting-edge minimally invasive technique that overcomes many shortcomings of laparoscopic techniques,yet few studies have evaluated the use of robotic surgery to treat Hirschsprung’s disease(HSCR).AIM To analyze the feasibility and medium-term outcomes of robotic-assisted proctosigmoidectomy(RAPS)with sphincter-and nerve-sparing surgery in HSCR *** From July 2015 to January 2022,156 rectosigmoid HSCR patients were enrolled in this multicenter prospective *** sphincters and nerves were spared by dissecting the rectum completely from the pelvic cavity outside the longitudinal muscle of the rectum and then performing transanal Soave pull-through *** outcomes and continence function were *** No conversions or intraoperative complications *** median age at surgery was 9.50 months,and the length of the removed bowel was 15.50±5.23 *** total operation time,console time,and anal traction time were 155.22±16.77,58.01±7.71,and 45.28±8.15 *** were 25 complications within 30 d and 48 post-30-d *** children aged≥4 years,the bowel function score(BFS)was 17.32±2.63,and 90.91%of patients showed moderate-to-good bowel *** postoperative fecal continence(POFC)score was 10.95±1.04 at 4 years of age,11.48±0.72 at 5 years of age,and 11.94±0.81 at 6 years of age,showing a promising annual *** were no significant differences in postoperative complications,BFS,and POFC scores related to age at surgery being≤3 mo or>3 *** RAPS is a safe and effective alternative for treating HSCR in children of all ages;it offers the advantage of further minimizing damage to sphincters and perirectal nerves and thus providing better continence function.

Auroral Kilometric Radiation(AKR)is a common radio emission,which can contribute to the magnetosphere−ionosphere−atmosphere *** emissions have been observed in all magnetic planet magnetospheres of the solar *** this study,using observations from the FAST satellite from 30 August 1996 to 9 September 2001,the distribution of AKR in altitude=500−4500 km and invariant latitude(|ILAT|)=60°−80°has been analyzed.63045 AKR samples have been identified with~48%(52%)samples on the dayside(nightside).Of considerable interest,there is a distinct MLT asymmetry with the high occurrence rate in MLT=05−08 and 18−22(02−05 and 12−17)in the northern(southern)*** distinct MLT asymmetry is associated with the direction of Bxof the interplanetary magnetic *** addition,the occurrence rate on the nightside clearly increases as the index *** study further enriches *** and understanding of AKR in the magnetosphere as well as other similar radio emissions.

IBPSO-Based MUSIC Algorithm for Broken Rotor Bars Fault Detection of Induction Motors

In spectrum analysis of induction motor current, the characteristic components of broken rotor bars（BRB） fault are often submerged by the fundamental component. Although many detection methods have been proposed for this problem, the frequency resolution and accuracy are not high enough so that the reliability of BRB fault detection is a ected. Thus, a new multiple signal classification（MUSIC） algorithm based on particle swarm intelligence search is developed. Since spectrum peak search in MUSIC is a multimodal optimization problem, an improved bare?bones particle swarm optimization algorithm（IBPSO） is proposed first. In the IBPSO, a modified strategy of subpopulation determination is introduced into BPSO for realizing multimodal search. And then, the new MUSIC algorithm, called IBPSO?based MUSIC, is proposed by replacing the fixed?step traversal search with IBPSO. Meanwhile, a simulation signal is used to test the e ectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results show that its frequency precision reaches 10-5, and the computational cost is only comparable to that of traditional MUSIC with 0.1 search step. Finally, the IBPSO?based MUSIC is applied in BRB fault detection of an induction motor, and the e ectiveness and superiority are proved again. The proposed research provides a modified MUSIC algorithm which has su cient frequency precision to detect BRB fault in induction motors.

BmCaspase-8-like regulates autophagy by suppressing BmDREDD-mediated cleavage of BmATG6

Autophagy plays an important role in tissue remodeling during insect *** interplay between autophagy-related(ATG)proteins and caspases regulates the autophagic activity of ATGs,thereby modulating the process of *** previous study characterized BmCaspase-8-like(BmCasp8L)as a caspase suppressor that inhibits apoptosis and immune signaling by suppressing the activation of death-related ced-3/Nedd2-like caspase(DREDD),a caspase-8 homolog in *** this study,we explored the regulatory role of BmCasp8L in *** found that the expression of Bmcasp8l increased from the late spinning stage to the pupa stage in the posterior silk gland(PSG),correlating with the expression patterns of Bmatg8 and *** interference-mediated downregulation of BmCasp8L expression significantly decreased starvation-induced autophagic influx as determined by the levels of BmATG8–phosphatidylethanolamine and the percentage of cells displaying punctate enhanced green fluorescent ***,the overexpression of BmCasp8L significantly increased autophagic *** also found that BmCasp8L underwent autophagic degradation induced by starvation and that it was colocalized with ***,we demonstrated that BmDREDD attenuated autophagy and BmCasp8L suppressed BmDREDD-mediated cleavage of *** together,our results demonstrated that BmCasp8L is a novel proautophagic molecule which suppresses BmDREDD-mediated cleavage of BmATG6 and is a target for autophagy.

Experimental study of dual nano-network, high-temperature resistant aerogel material as an integration of thermal management functions

Thermal management system is highly desirable to guarantee the performance and thermal safety of lithium-ion batteries,but it reduces the energy density of battery modules and even is unable to provide highly effective ***,a thermal management function integrated material is presented based on high-temperature resistant aerogel and phase change material and is applied at both charge–discharge process and thermal runaway *** this sandwich structure Paraffin@SiC nanowire/Aerogel sheet （denoted as PA@SAS） system,SiC nanowires endow the middle aerogel sheet （SAS） a dual nano-network *** enhanced mechanical properties of SAS were studied by compressive tests and dynamic mechanical ***,the thermal conductivity of SAS at 600°C is only 0.042 W/（m K）.The surface phase change material layers facilitate temperature uniformity of batteries （surface temperature difference less than 1.82°C） through latent ***,a large-format battery module with four 58 Ah LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2LIBs was ***@SAS successfully prevents thermal runaway propagation,yielding a temperature gap of 602°C through the 2 mm-thick cross ***@SAS also exhibits excellent performance in other safety issues such as temperature rise rate,flame heat flux,*** lightweight property and effective insulation performance achieves significant safety enhancement with mass and volume energy density reduction of only 0.79%and 5.4%,*** originality of the present research stems from the micro and macro structure design of the proposed thermal management material and the combination of intrinsic advantages of every *** work provides a reliable design of achieving the integration of thermal management functions into an aerogel composite and improves the thermal safety of lithium-ion batteries.

Research Review of Principles and Methods for Ultrasonic Measurement of Axial Stress in Bolts

Bolts are important fasteners indispensable in the manufacturing field for their advantages, which include convenient assembly and disassembly, easy maintenance, refastenability to prevent looseness, and the avoidance of a phase change in the connected material composition. The precise control of the tightening force in bolts is closely related to the safety and reliability of the connected equipment or structure. Although there are many methods for estimating the tightening force applied to a bolt during assembly, poor accuracy in controlling the preload during the tightening process and a lack of monitoring to determine the residual axial force in service remain issues in evaluating the safety of bolted assemblies. As a nondestructive testing technology, ultrasonic measurement can be applied to successfully address these issues. In order to help researchers understand the theoretical basis and technological development in this field and to equip them to conduct further in-depth research, in this review, the basic knowledge describing the state of stress and deformation of bolts, as well as conventional testing methods are summarized and analyzed. Then, through a review of recent research of the ultrasonic measurement of the axial stress in bolts, the influence of the e ective stressed length and temperature are analyzed and proposed methods of calibration and compensation are reviewed. In order to avoid coupling errors caused by traditional piezoelectric transducers, two newly proposed ultrasonic coupling technologies, the electromagnetic acoustic transducer(EMAT) and the permanent mounted transducer system(PMTS), are reviewed. Finally, the new direction of research of the detection of residual axial stress in in-service bolts that have been assembled to yield is discussed.

Preserving location privacy without exact locations in mobile services

Privacy preservation has recently received considerable attention in location-based services （LBSs）. A large number of location cloaking algorithms have been proposed for protecting the location privacy of mobile users. However, most existing cloaking approaches assume that mobile users are trusted. And exact locations are required to protect location privacy, which is exactly the information mobile users want to hide. In this paper, we propose a p-anti-conspiration privacy model to anonymize over semi-honest users. Further- more, two k＊NNG-based cloaking algorithms, vk＊NNCA and ek＊NNCA, are proposed to protect location privacy without exact locations. The efficiency and effectiveness of the pro- posed algorithms are validated by a series of carefully designed experiments. The experimental results show that the price paid for location privacy protection without exact locations is small.
