Spatial and Temporal Characteristics of Rice Potential Productivity and Potential Yield Increment in Main Production Regions of China

The vast area and marked variation of China make it difficult to predict the impact of climate changes on rice productivity in different ***,analyzing the spatial and temporal characteristics of rice potential productivity and predicting the possible yield increment in main rice production regions of China is important for guiding rice production and ensuring food *** meteorological data of main rice production regions from 1961 to 1970（the 1960s） and from 1996 to 2005（the 2000s） provided by 333 stations,the potential photosynthetic,photo-thermal and climatic productivities in rice crop of the 1960s and 2000s in main rice production regions of China were predicted,and differences in the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics between two decades were ***,the potential yield increment based on the high yield target and actual yield of rice in the 2000s were *** with the 1960s,the potential photosynthetic productivity of the 2000s was seen to have decreased by 5.40%,with rates in northeastern and southwestern China found to be lower than those in central and southern *** potential photo-thermal productivity was generally seen to decrease（2.56%） throughout main rice production regions,decreasing most in central and southern ***,an increase was seen in northeastern and southwestern *** potential climatic productivity was observed to be lower（7.44%） in the 2000s compared to the 1960s,but increased in parts of central and southern *** potential yield increment from the actual yield to high yield target in the 2000s were no more than 6×103 kg ha-1 and ranged from 6×103 to 12×103 kg ha-1 in most of the single-and double-cropping rice growing regions,*** yield increasing potential from the high yield target to the potential photo-thermal productivity in 2000s were less than 10×103 kg ha-1 and ranged from 10×103 to 30×103 kg ha-1 in most of the single-and double-croppi

The dissimilar brazing of Nb521 niobium alloy to GH99 superalloy was achieved successfully using Ti-35Ni brazing filler under *** effects of brazing temperature and holding time were systematically analyzed on the interfacial microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of *** joints brazed at 1120℃ for 10 min exhibited a typical interfacial structure composed of Nb521/β-(Nb,Ti)+TiNi/TiNi+Ti2Ni/TiNi+TiNi3/Cr-rich TiNi/Ti-rich(Ni,Cr)ss/(Ni,Cr)ss/*** findings indicated that as the brazing temperature or holding time increased,the presence of brittle Ti2Ni compounds decreased while the formation of TiNi3 gradually increased and tended to *** shear strength of joints exhibited variations corresponding to changes in interfacial brittle compound,and reached the highest value of 121 MPa at 1120℃ for 10 *** the context of shear testing,all joints displayed clear brittle fracture patterns,with fractures predominantly occurring at the brittle compounds,namely,Ti2Ni and TiNi3 phases.

Neural-Network-Based Nonlinear Model Predictive Tracking Control of a Pneumatic Muscle Actuator-Driven Exoskeleton

Pneumatic muscle actuators(PMAs)are compliant and suitable for robotic devices that have been shown to be effective in assisting patients with neurologic injuries,such as strokes,spinal cord injuries,etc.,to accomplish rehabilitation ***,because PMAs have nonlinearities,hysteresis,and uncertainties,etc.,complex mechanisms are rarely involved in the study of PMA-driven robotic *** this paper,we use nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC)and an extension of the echo state network called an echo state Gaussian process(ESGP)to design a tracking controller for a PMA-driven lower limb *** dynamics of the system include the PMA actuation and mechanism of the leg orthoses;thus,the system is represented by two nonlinear uncertain *** facilitate the design of the controller,joint angles of leg orthoses are forecasted based on the universal approximation ability of the ESGP.A gradient descent algorithm is employed to solve the optimization problem and generate the control *** stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed when the ESGP is capable of approximating system *** and experiments are conducted to verify the approximation ability of the ESGP and achieve gait pattern training with four healthy subjects.

Design on a Multi-Sensor Integrated Attitude Determination System for Small UAVs

This paper discusses the design and implementation of a low cost multi-sensor integrated attitude determination system for small unmanned aerial vehicles( UAVs),which uses strapdown inertial navigation system( SINS) based on micro electromechanical system( MEMS) inertial sensors,commercial GPS receiver,and 3-axis ***-SINS initial attitude determination cannot be well performed for the reason that the MEMS inertial sensors biases are time-varying and poor repeatability,therefore in this paper the magnetometer and inclinometer are used to assist the MEMS-SINS initial attitude determination and MEMS inertial sensors field ***,the attitude determination algorithms are presented to estimate the full attitude during GPS signal outage and non-accelerating ***,the attitude information estimation results are compared with the reference of the non-magnetic marble platform and 3-axis *** the attitude estimation precision satisfies the requirement of attitude measurement for small UAVs during GPS signal outage and ***,the small UAV autonomous flight test results show that the low cost and real-time attitude determination system can yield continuous,reliable and effective attitude information for small UAVs.

Nonlinear modelling of a SOFC stack by improved neural networks identification

The solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a nonlinear system that is hard to model by conventional methods. So far,most existing models are based on conversion laws,which are too complicated to be applied to design a control system. To facilitate a valid control strategy design,this paper tries to avoid the internal complexities and presents a modelling study of SOFC per-formance by using a radial basis function (RBF) neural network based on a genetic algorithm (GA). During the process of mod-elling,the GA aims to optimize the parameters of RBF neural networks and the optimum values are regarded as the initial values of the RBF neural network parameters. The validity and accuracy of modelling are tested by simulations,whose results reveal that it is feasible to establish the model of SOFC stack by using RBF neural networks identification based on the GA. Furthermore,it is possible to design an online controller of a SOFC stack based on this GA-RBF neural network identification model.

The Sarason＇s Toeplitz product problem asks when the Toeplitz product operator TuTv, with analytic symbols u and v, is bounded on Hilbert space of analytic functions. In this paper, we deal with this problem on the Fock-Sobolev space and have a complete solution that u = eq, v = Ce-q, where q is a linear complex polynomial and C is a nonzero constant.

The paper presents experimental investigation results of crack pattern change in cement pastes caused by external sulfate attack （ESA）.To visualize the formation and development of cracks in cement pastes under ESA,an X-ray computed tomography （X-ray CT） was used,i e,the tomography system of Zeiss Xradia 510 *** results indicate that X-CT can monitor the development process and distribution characteristics of the internal cracks of cement pastes under ESA with attack *** addition,the C3A content in the cement significantly affects the damage mode of cement paste specimens during sulfate *** damage of ordinary Portland cement （OPC） pastes subjected to sulfate attack with high C3A content are severe,while the damage of sulfate resistant Portland cement （SRPC） pastes is much smaller than that of OPC ***,a quadratic function describes the correlation between the crack volume fraction and development depth for two cement pastes immermed in sulfate solution.

Selective parsing to enhance SIP performance

The session initiation protocol （SIP） is used as the signaling protocol in the IP multimedia subsystem （IMS） and the signaling is becoming computing intensive comparing to the current telecommunication network. The SIP is a text-based protocol with characteristics of unordered and verbose headers, variable-size message, and case-insensitive keyword. It imposes challenges for an efficient message processing. The property of SIP elements being able to process SIP messages quickly is critical for the performance of IMS networks. This article investigates the performance of SIP message processed in SIP servers, mainly focusing on improving message parsing by introducing a method named selective parsing for SIP message （SP4SIP）. By modeling and analyzing a SIP server with a tandem Jackson network, it is concluded that parsing messages is the bottleneck of a SIP server performance, i.e., it is the most processing intensive activity in the system. To validate the approach, it has been implemented in a high-performance SIP server in the authors＇ lab. The results show that selective parsing for SIP message can indeed reduce processing time.

Melatonin Alleviates Acute Gouty Inflammation In Vivo and In Vitro

The aim of this study was to identify the effects of melatonin on acute gouty inflammation and to investigate the underlying *** found significantly lower serum melatonin levels in gout patients in the acute phase than in those in the remission phase or in normal *** mRNA expression of melatonin receptor 2(MT2)was also lower in gout patients than in normal *** verify the in-vivo role of melatonin,a gouty arthritis model was established by intraarticular injection of monosodium urate(MSU,1 mg)crystals into the paws of C57BL/6 *** inflammation in the mouse model was evaluated by measuring the thickness of the right paw/left paw,and the inflammation index was determined by examining infiltrating neutrophils with haematoxylin and eosin(H&E)*** was found to reduce both paw thickness and the inflammation index in the mouse model,and melatonin also reduced the mRNA levels of interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β),IL-6 and NLR family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)*** mimic gouty inflammation in vitro,mouse peritoneal macrophages were stimulated with lipopolysaccharides(LPS)plus *** was revealed to reduce IL-1βsecretion by stimulated *** mRNA expression levels of IL-1βand IL-6 were also inhibited by *** blot analysis showed that the expression of NLRP3,caspase-1 and pro-IL-1βwas also inhibited by *** conclusion,our study demonstrated that melatonin alleviated gouty inflammation in vivo and in vitro,and the underlying mechanism may involve inhibiting the assembly of the NLRP3 inflammasome.
