A Task Allocation Method for Stream Processing with Recovery Latency Constraint

Stream processing applications continuously process large amounts of online streaming data in real time or nearreal time. They have strict latency constraints. However, the continuous processing makes them vulnerable to any failures,and the recoveries may slow down the entire processing pipeline and break latency constraints. The upstream backupscheme is one of the most widely applied fault-tolerant schemes for stream processing systems. It introduces complexbackup dependencies to tasks, which increases the difficulty of controlling recovery latencies. Moreover, when dependenttasks are located on the same processor, they fail at the same time in processor-level failures, bringing extra recovery latencies that increase the impacts of failures. This paper studies the relationship between the task allocation and therecovery latency of a stream processing application. We present a correlated failure effect model to describe the recoverylatency of a stream topology in processor-level failures under a task allocation plan. We introduce a recovery-latency awaretask allocation problem （RTAP） that seeks task allocation plans for stream topologies that will achieve guaranteed recoverylatencies. We discuss the difference between RTAP and classic task allocation problems and present a heuristic algorithmwith a computational complexity of O（n log2 n） to solve the problem. Extensive experiments were conducted to verify thecorrectness and effectiveness of our approach. It improves the resource usage by 15%-20% on average.

Synthesis,Biological Evaluation and Molecular Modeling of Cyclic Tetrapeptide Based Inhibitors HDAC

Histone deacetylases（HDACs） are considered to be among the most promising targets for the development of anti-cancer drugs,and HDAC inhibitors（HDACIs） have become a promising class of anti-cancer *** explore whether thioacetyl group as the zinc binding group（ZBG） and a slight change in the hydrophobicity of the recognition domain of HDACIs could alter their activities,we synthesized a series of cyclo[-L-Am7（SAc）-Aib-L-Phe（n-Cl）D-Pro-] and evaluated their HDAC-inhibitory and antiproliferative *** results show that these peptides could inhibit HDAC at 10-9 mol/L level,and could selectively inhibit the proliferation of three human cancer cell lines with IC 50 at 10-6 mol/L *** study was conducted to examine the mechanisms by which these peptides interact with *** appeared that a zinc ion in the active site of HDAC was coordinated by the carbonyl oxygen atom of the ZBG in the *** the ZBG domain of all the peptides and the surface recognition domain of cyclo[-L-Am7（SAc）-Aib-L-Phe（o-Cl）-D-Pro-] and that of cyclo[-L-Am7（SAc）-Aib-L-Phe（m-Cl）-D-Pro-] interacted with HDAC2 via hydrogen *** interaction has been considered to provide favorable contributions to stabilizing the complexes,and the introduction of a chlorine atom at the aromatic ring on the L-Phe position of these peptides affected the interaction between each of these inhibitors and the enzyme,resulting in slight change in the structure of the surface recognition domain of the peptides.

High-Temperature Stability of Mg-1Al-12Y Alloy Containing LPSO Phase and Mechanism of Its Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)Effect

In this study,the high-temperature stability and the generation mechanism of the Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)effect in solid-solution Mg-1Al-12Y alloy with different heat treatment processes were investigated by adjusting the content of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)*** was found that the content of LPSO phases in the alloys differed the most after heat treatment at 530℃for 16 h and 24 h,with values of 13.56%and 3.93%***,high-temperature tensile experiments were conducted on these two alloys at temperatures of 150℃,200℃,250℃,and 300℃.The results showed that both alloys exhibited the PLC effect at temperatures ranging from 150 to 250℃.However,at a temperature 300℃,only the alloy with a greater concentration of LPSO phases exhibited the PLC effect,whereas the alloy with a lower proportion of LPSO phases did not exhibit this ***,both alloys exhibited remarkable high-temperature stability,with the alloy containing a greater percentage of LPSO phases also demonstrating superior *** underlying mechanism for this phenomenon lies in the exceptional high-temperature stability exhibited by the second phase within the ***,the LPSO phase effectively obstructs the movement of dislocations,and it also undergoing kinking to facilitate plastic deformation of the *** results indicate that the PLC effect can be suppressed by reducing dislocation pile-up at grain boundaries,which leads to a decrease in alloy plasticity but an increase in *** presence of the PLC effect in the WA121 alloy is attributed to the abundant dispersed second phase within the alloy,which initially hinders the movement of dislocations,leading to an increase in stress,and subsequently releases the dislocations,allowing them to continue their movement and thereby reducing in stress.

Effect of Y_(2)O_(3) on microstructure and properties of CoCrFeNiTiNb high entropy alloy coating on Ti-6Al-4V surface by laser cladding

The effects of Y_(2)O_(3) on the microstructure, microhardness, wear resistance, high-temperature oxidation resistance, hot corrosion resistance, and electrochemical corrosion behaviour of CoCrFeNiTiNb high entropy alloy coatings formed on Ti-6Al-4V alloy surfaces were studied. The results show that the addition of Y_(2)O_(3) changes the proportion of the phase but does not change its type. The average grain size is only 1/4.7 of that of the high entropy alloy(HEA) coating, and the fine-grained strengthening leads to increases in the microhardness and wear resistance of 21.8% and 26.9%, respectively. The addition of Y_(2)O_(3) enhances the denseness and bonding properties of the oxide and corrosion product layers, reducing the oxidation and hot corrosion rates by 60.3% and 40.3%, respectively. The addition of Y_(2)O_(3) doubles the corrosion resistance which is attributed to the refinement of the grains, the increased proportion of HCP and TiN, and the weakening of galvanic coupling corrosion.

Evaluating effectiveness and safety of combined percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage and laparoscopic cholecystectomy in acute cholecystitis patients:Meta-analysis
