Many proteins require assistance from molecular chaperones at various stages to attain correctly folded states and functional conformations during protein synthesis. In this study, the gene encoding T-complex polypeptide 1（TCP-1）, which belongs to the heat shock protein 60（HSP60） family, was isolated and characterized from the rice stem borer, Chilo suppressalis, by RACE and q PCR, respectively. The full-length c DNA of Tcp-1 was 2 144 bp and encoded a 1 635-bp ORF; the deduced translational product contained 545 amino acids with 5′-and 3′-UTRs and an isoelectric point of 5.29. Cluster analysis confirmed that the deduced amino acid sequence shared high identity（60–99%） with TCP-1 from other insects. To investigate Tcp-1 expression in response to abiotic stress, q PCR was used to analyze expression levels of Tcp-1 m RNA in C. suppressalis larvae exposed to temperatures ranging from –11 to 43°C. With respect to heat shock, Tcp-1 expression was higher than the control after a 2-h exposure to 30 and 36°C and declined at 39 and 43°C. Difference in Tcp-1 expression was observed at temperatures ranging from –11 to 27°C. q PCR analyses revealed that Tcp-1 expression was the highest in hindgut tissue as compared to heads, epidermis, fat body, foregut, midgut, and malpighian tubules. Our results indicated that Tcp-1 expression was differentially expressed in C. suppressalis tissues, and was impacted by temperature stress.

BACKGROUND： Studies have shown that sensory transduction is a way to introduce needle sensation. OBJECTIVE： To observe the influence of electro-acupuncture at the ＂Zusanll＂（ST 36） point on lower extremity motor function in various sensory disturbance patients with cerebral stroke. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A randomized, controlled, clinical study was performed at the Department of Neurological Rehabilitation, China Rehabilitation Research Centre from September 2006 to June 2008. PARTICIPANTS： Patients with first-time cerebral infarction or hemorrhage, or with a stroke history, but no neurodysfunction （single damage）, were selected for this study. The subjects were right-handed and disease state was stable. A total of 240 inpatients were randomly assigned to the following groups： electro-acupuncture （n = 124） and control （n = 116）. The two groups were further assigned into sub-groups： no sensory disturbance, superficial sensory disturbance, deep sensory disturbance, and deep and superficial sensory disturbance. METHODS： On the basis of routine limb function training, the acupoint Zusanliwas utilized in all patients from the electro-acupuncture group. Perpendicular acupuncture was 3.0-4.0 cm deep. An electric acupuncture instrument was connected when patients developed the needle sensation, deqi. A stimulation pattern consisting of distant and dense waves of 50 Hz was used to elicit slight dorsal foot extension. Acupuncture was administered 5 times per week, 30 minutes per session, for 6 weeks in total. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： FugI-Meyer assessment （FMA） was used to evaluate lower extremity motor function; Ver.1.0 gait analysis to estimate gait （step frequency, step speed, and step scope）; lower extremity Composite Spasticity Scale （CSS） to estimate muscle spastic degree. RESULTS： Following treatment, motor function improved in both groups. Compared with the control group, FMA score, step speed, step frequency, and step scope were increased in the electro-acupuncture

In this paper,we first derive two types of transformed Franklin polynomial:substituted and weighted radial Franklin *** radial orthogonal moments are proposed based on these two types of polynomials,namely substituted Franklin-Fourier moments and weighted Franklin-Fourier moments(SFFMs and WFFMs),which are orthogonal in polar *** radial kernel functions of SFFMs and WFFMs are transformed Franklin functions and Franklin functions are composed of a class of complete orthogonal splines function system of degree ***,it provides the possibility of avoiding calculating high order polynomials,and thus the accurate values of SFFMs and WFFMs can be obtained directly with little computational *** and experimental results show that Franklin functions are not well suited for constructing higher-order moments of SFFMs and WFFMs,but compared with traditional orthogonal moments(e.g.,BFMs,OFMs and ZMs)in polar coordinates,the proposed two types of Franklin-Fourier Moments have better performance respectively in lower-order moments.

Inflammation is a driving force of hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs) aging, causing irreversible exhaustion of functional HSCs. However, the underlying mechanism of HSCs erosion by inflammatory insult remains poorly understood. Here, we find that transient LPS exposure primes aged HSCs to undergo accelerated differentiation at the expense of self-renewal, leading to depletion of HSCs. Meanwhile, the central regulator nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) mediating functional impairment by inflammation insult induces differential transcriptional response in aged HSCs compared with young HSCs, with precocious activation of myeloid lineage genes. Altered compartmentalization and chromatin loop formation are associated with aging-related differential transcriptional response in HSCs upon lipopolysaccharide(LPS)stimulation. Mechanistically, enhancer and promoter regions of myeloid lineage genes in aged HSCs are more accessible and display more rapid and prominent CTCF occupancy upon LPS stimulation. Our study provides comprehensive resources for the three-dimensional(3D)genome structure of HSCs and sheds light into the ordered genome organization and the associated transcriptome signature underlying HSCs aging.

The relationship of ＂preparation parameters-microstructures-wettability＂ of TiO2 films was reported. In this work, TiO2 films were deposited onto glass and silicon substrates by using mid-frequency dual magnetron sputtering technique at ambient temperature with various power densities and deposition time. After deposition, the films were heat treated at different annealing temperatures. X-ray diffraction （XRD）, Raman spectroscopy, and field-emission scanning electron microscopy （FE-SEM） were utilized to characterize TiO2 films. The wettability of the films was evaluated by water contact angle measurement. The phase transition temperature of TiO2 films depended on the power density. It was demonstrated that wettability was strongly structure dependent and the film with the thickness of 610 nm （the power density was 2.22 W/cm^2） showed the lowest contact angle （8°）. It can be concluded that smaller crystallite size, the rutile phase with （110） face being parallel to the surface, and tensile stress favored the hydrophilicity of the TiO2 films.

In Trust Zone architecture, the Trusted Application（TA） in the secure world does not certify the identity of Client Applications（CA） in the normal world that request data access, which represents a user data leakage risk. This paper proposes a private user data protection mechanism in Trust Zone to avoid such risks. We add corresponding modules to both the secure world and the normal world and authenticate the identity of CA to prevent illegal access to private user data. Then we analyze the system security, and perform validity and performance *** results show that this method can perform effective identity recognition and control of CA to protect the security of private user data. After adding authentication modules, the data operation time of system increases by about0.16 s, an acceptable price to pay for the improved security.

Searching the global optimal value in heat exchanger network synthesis (HENS) becomes more difficult along with the increasing scale of *** structural opitimization model,such as stage-wise superstructure,solution domain can be enlarged by adding the stages of network,which would involve multiple integer and continuous variables in optimization and result in a decreasing computational ***,a new nodes-based model with stream splits is proposed,which can promote the quality of result and decrease time consumption at the same *** characteristic of this model is that it changes the matching mode of heat exchangers by setting the number of nodes on streams to quantify the positions of heat *** proposed nodes-based model has more flexibility in generating and eliminating the heat exchangers and strong ductility in exploring the solution *** random walk with compulsive evolution is modified for enhancing its searching ability and applying modified random walk algorithm with compulsive evolution (RWCE) into the new proposed *** obtained results of Case 1,Case 2 and Case 3 are superior to those reported in the literature,which decreases 106 USD·a-1,1253 USD·a-1,23 444 USD·a-1,respectively,verifying the robust effectiveness of this new model in solving HENS problem.

With the increasing use of antibiotics and rare earth elements(REE)during the coronavirus disease(COVID-19)pandemic,the co-occurrence of sulfamethoxazole(SMX)and gadolinium(Gd)has increased in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs).However,the effects of SMX and Gd exposure on the transmission of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)and heavy metal resistance genes(MRGs)remain *** study investigated the impacts of SMX and Gd on the fate of ARGs and MRGs in an activated sludge *** diversity and relative abundance of ARGs,MRGs,and mobile genetic elements(MGEs)were detected by metagenomic *** results revealed an increased abundance of ARGs but a decreased abundance of MRGs under the joint effect of SMX and *** addition,Gd alone exerted adverse effects on the proliferation and spread of ARGs and ***,SMX alone resulted in an increase in the diversity of ARGs and MRGs and promoted the growth of Pseudomonas,Thauera,and Streptomyces in the activated sludge ***,a positive correlation was observed between most ARGs and *** findings provide comprehensive insights into the effects of co-occurring REEs and antibiotics on the fate of ARGs,MRGs,and MGEs,providing evidence to assist in controlling the spread and proliferation of ARGs and MRGs in activated sludge systems.

Designing Microalgal Oils

Vegetative oils are closely associated with our daily life. They are widely used in food, both in cooking and as nutritional supplements, as well as in cosmetics and as fuels. Contrary to animal fats, vegetative oils are mixtures of liquid triacylglycerols (TAGs) with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs). However, in many higher plants, only their fruits and/ or seeds contain a significant amount of oils that are valuable for industrial utilization. Microalgae are single-cell photosynthetic organisms. They contain all the oil-producing machinery present in higher plants and are original oil producers on Earth. Importantly, they can be cultivated on a large scale for production of microalgal oils with rare long-chain polyunsaturated FAs (LC-PUFAs) such as omega-3 FAs and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), which have health ben efits. The geno mes of human and vertebrate animals do not encode enzymes for synthesizing LC-PUFAs, and thus they have to acquire these so-called "essential FAs" via diet.
