Analysis of two naval pilots’ ejection injuries: Two case reports

BACKGROUND Recently,two naval pilots in a two-seat trainer jet were forced to eject urgently due to sudden mechanical failure during night-time *** were both successfully rescued and sent to the hospital for emergency *** this study,we investigate their ejection injuries and recovery *** SUMMARY We analyzed the clinical data of the traumatic condition and recovery process from ejection injuries of two pilots who ejected from a failed trainer jet and *** being successfully rescued and sent to the hospital,they were diagnosed with multiple ejection injuries,including eye trauma,limb bone and joint injury,rib and spine injury,and so *** cases underwent fluid replacement,acid suppression,nutritional support,hemostasis,bone metabolism improvement,phlegm elimination,psychological measurement,blood circulation promotion and detumescence,physical therapy,and external fixation with braces for 1 mo before being discharged from *** then recuperated in a sanatorium for 2 mo,and the related laboratory tests and supplementary examinations show that they recovered from all the above *** successfully passing the psychological test and physical examination,they returned to flight duty 3 mo after *** The causes and conditions of ejection injury in the pilots were very *** they finally recovered quickly and were released,it also serves as a reminder that attention should be paid to pilots’ejection and parachute training in order to significantly reduce ejection injury and improve the ejection success *** addition,air defense support personnel should strengthen search and rescue and on-site emergency measures,and locate and rescue pilots in distress as early as possible to reduce subsequent injuries.

Total ionizing dose effect modeling method for CMOS digital-integrated circuit

Simulating the total ionizing dose(TID)of an electrical system using transistor-level models can be difficult and expensive,particularly for digital-integrated circuits(ICs).In this study,a method for modeling TID effects in complementary metaloxide semiconductor(CMOS)digital ICs based on the input/output buffer information specification(IBIS)was *** digital IC was first divided into three parts based on its internal structure:the input buffer,output buffer,and functional *** of these three parts was separately *** the IBIS model,the transistor V-I characteristic curves of the buffers were processed,and the physical parameters were extracted and modeled using *** the functional area,logic functions were modeled in VHDL according to the data sheet.A golden digital IC model was developed by combining the input buffer,output buffer,and functional area ***,the golden ratio was reconstructed based on TID experimental data,enabling the assessment of TID effects on the threshold voltage,carrier mobility,and time series of the digital *** experiments were conducted using a CMOS non-inverting multiplexer,NC7SZ157,and the results were compared with the simulation results,which showed that the relative errors were less than 2%at each dose *** confirms the practicality and accuracy of the proposed modeling *** TID effect model for digital ICs developed using this modeling technique includes both the logical function of the IC and changes in electrical properties and functional degradation impacted by TID,which has potential applications in the design of radiation-hardening tolerance in digital ICs.

Experimental investigation on using CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion with high water cut in enhanced oil recovery

CO_(2) emulsions used for EOR have received a lot of interest because of its good performance on CO_(2)mobility ***,most of them have been focusing on the high quality CO_(2) emulsion(high CO_(2) fraction),while CO_(2) emulsion with high water cut has been rarely *** this paper,we carried out a comprehensive experimental study of using high water cut CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion for enhancing oil ***,a nonionic surfactant,alkyl glycosides(APG),was selected to stabilize CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion,and the corresponding morphology and stability were evaluated with a transparent PVT ***,plugging capacity and apparent viscosity of CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion were measured systematically by a sand pack displacement apparatus connected with a 1.95-m long capillary ***,a high water cut(40 vol%) CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion was selected for flooding experiments in a long sand pack and a core sample,and the oil recovery,the rate of oil recovery,and the pressure gradients were *** results indicated that APG had a good performance on emulsifying and stabilizing CO_(2) *** inversion from H_(2)O/CO_(2) emulsion to CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion with the increase in water cut was ***_(2)/H_(2)O emulsions with lower water cuts presented higher apparent viscosity,while the optimal plugging capacity of CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion occurred at a certain water ***,the displacement using CO_(2)/H_(2)O emulsion provided 18.98% and 13.36% additional oil recovery than that using pure CO_(2) in long sand pack and core tests,*** work may provide guidelines for EOR using CO_(2) emulsions with high water cut.

Effects of pyraclostrobin on growth,oxidative stress,and gene expression in relation to stress and ATP-binding cassette transporters in Tetrahymena thermophila

Pyraclostrobin(PYR),a widely used fungicide,has negative effects on fish and algae,but its toxicity in protozoa remains *** this study,the effects of PYR on the growth,oxidative stress,and gene expression related to stress and ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporters in Tetrahymena thermophila were *** result showed that the 96-h IC_(50)of PYR against *** was 17.2 mg/***,PYR inhibited the growth of *** in concentration-or time-dependent manner.A morphological study revealed that the shape and size of *** changed,and damage of cell membrane surface was observed by scanning electron microscopy after 96 h of PYR *** activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)increased throughout the *** contrast,the glutathione(GSH)content was increased at 24 h and 48 h of exposure and decreased at 96 ***,a significant increase in malondialdehyde(MDA)level was observed in *** after96 h of ***,PYR upregulated the HSP703,HSP705,GPx2,and ABAC15 gene expression in the 0.1–5-mg/L groups and downregulated the HSP704,HSP90,TGR,and ABCC52 mRNA levels at 96 h of *** results suggest that PYR may exert adverse effects on *** by inducing oxidative stress and changing the gene expression related to ABC transporters and stress,which may enrich the understanding of the toxicity mechanism of PYR in aquatic organisms and provide reference data for aquatic ecological risk assessments.

The structure and hydrogenation properties of (V_(0.85)Fe_(0.15))_(100-x)M_(x)-Ce(x=0,1,3,5;at%) alloys with M=Cr,Mo,Al were *** the alloys show the same phase composition consisting of BCC matric and CeO_(2)phases which distribute along the grain *** hydrogen capacities of (V_(0.85)Fe_(0.15))_(100-x)M_(x)-Ce change little with M,and none of them exceeds 2.0 wt%.But the plateau pressure shows remarkable linearly variation with the amount of M and the lattice parameter of BCC *** additions of Cr,Mo and A1 raise the plateau,but the linear relation of plateau versus BCC lattice parameter of Mo/Al-added alloys is opposite to that of Cr-added alloys and many other conventional hydrogen storage *** radius of hydrogen site is introduced to explain the *** plateau pressure of (V_(0.85)Fe_(0.15))_(100-x)M_(x)-Ce with any kind of M added increases with the contraction of the hydrogen *** plateau pressure of (V_(0.85)Fe_(0.15))_(100-x)M_(x)-Ce can also be reflected by the stability of hydride which is judged by the enthalpy change during the dehydrogenation.

Lacustrine shale oil and gas are important fields for unconventional exploration and development in China,and organic-rich shale deposition lays down the critical foundation for hydrocarbon *** are two sets of shale,the Dongyuemiao and Da’anzhai Members,in the Ziliujing Formation in the Sichuan *** identify the differential enrichment characteristics of organic matter and clarify its controlling factors,geochemical analyses of organic and inorganic geochemical analyses were *** results showed that the total organic carbon content of the Dongyuemiao shale(1.36%)is slightly higher than that of the Da’anzhai shale(0.95%).The enrichment of organic matter in the two shales resulted from the comprehensive controls of paleoproductivity,paleoenvironment,and terrigenous input,but different factors have different *** addition,driven by climate,the change in the sulfate concentration in the bottom water further led to the different intensities of bacterial sulfate reduction in early *** made a great difference regarding organic matter accumulation in the two *** general,climate may have played a dominant role in organic matter enrichment in the two sets of shale.

Ni-Catalyzed Enantioselective Difunctionalization of Alkynes to Azepine Derivatives Bearing a Quaternary Center and an Unprotected Imine

Comprehensive Summary,The azepine ring is a prominent structural scaffold in biologically significant molecules. In this study, we present a Ni(II)-catalyzed asymmetric difunctionalization of alkynes, involving intermolecular regioselective arylation and intramolecular nitrile addition, enabling the synthesis of enantioenriched azepine derivatives. This reaction simultaneously installs an all-carbon quaternary stereocenter and introduces an unprotected imine functionality, showing great promise for subsequent transformations. The reaction exhibits good tolerance toward various functional groups, resulting in high yields and enantioselectivities. The synthetic utility of this methodology is further demonstrated through gram-scale synthesis and product derivatization. This research offers an efficient approach to the synthesis of seven-membered nitrogen heterocycles.

In the era of precision medicine,it has been increasingly recognized that individuals with a certain disease are complex and different from each *** to the underestimation of the significant heterogeneity across participants in traditional"one-sizefits-all"trials,patient-centered trials that could provide optimal therapy customization to individuals with specific biomarkers were developed including the basket,umbrella,and platform trial designs under the master protocol *** recent years,the successive FDA approval of indications based on biomarker-guided master protocol designs has demonstrated that these new clinical trials are ushering in tremendous *** the rapid increase in the number of basket,umbrella,and platform trials,the current clinical and research understanding of these new trial designs,as compared with traditional trial designs,remains *** majority of the research focuses on methodologies,and there is a lack of in-depth insight concerning the underlying biological logic of these new clinical trial ***,we provide this comprehensive review of the discovery and development of basket,umbrella,and platform trials and their underlying logic from the perspective of precision ***,we discuss future directions on the potential development of these new clinical design in view of the"Precision Pro","Dynamic Precision",and"Intelligent Precision".This review would assist trial-related researchers to enhance the innovation and feasibility of clinical trial designs by expounding the underlying logic,which be essential to accelerate the progression of precision medicine.

Low-energy-consumption temperature swing system for CO_(2) capture by combining passive radiative cooling and solar heating

Temperature-swing adsorption(TSA)is an effective technique for CO_(2) capture,but the temperature swing procedure is ***,we report a low-energy-consumption system by combining passive radiative cooling and solar heating for the uptake of CO_(2) on commercial activated carbons(CACs).During adsorption,the adsorbents are coated with a layer of hierarchically porous poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropene)[P(VdF-HFP)HP],which cools the adsorbents to a low temperature under sunlight through radiative *** desorption,CACs with broad absorption of the solar spectrum are exposed to light irradiation for *** heating and cooling processes are completely driven by solar *** tests under mimicked sunlight using the CACs show that the performance of this system is comparable to that of the traditional ***,under real sunlight irradiation,the adsorption capacity of the CACs can be well maintained after multiple *** present work may inspire the development of new temperature swing procedures with little energy consumption.
