Influence of crystal-transforming agent on the performance and mechanism ofα-high-strength gypsum prepared from FGD gypsum

This paper investigates the impact of flue gas desulfurization(FGD)gypsum's crystal modifier on the characteristics and microcosmic mechanism ofα-high strength *** results demonstrate that all three crystal modifiers can convert FGD gypsum toα-high-strength *** acid(CA)has the most significant influence onα-high-strength gypsum,and the preparedα-high-strength gypsum is short columnar,with an aspect ratio in the range of 1-3,and has a faster setting time,a larger specific surface area,and a smaller standard consistency,higher compressive strength,greater surface hardness,and smaller crystal particle *** initial setting time of theα-high-strength gypsum manufactured with CA crystal modifier was decreased by 36%compared to the blank sample,the final setting time was lowered by 37.5%,and the water consumption of the standard consistency was reduced by 8%.The maximum strength is 32 MPa after 2 h,the absolute dry compressive strength is up to 38 MPa,and the surface hardness is improved by 24.43%.

Various deep learning models have been proposed for the accurate assisted diagnosis of early-stage Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Most studies predominantly employ Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),which focus solely on local features,thus encountering difficulties in handling global *** contrast to natural images,Structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging(sMRI)images exhibit a higher number of channel ***,during the Position Embedding stage ofMulti head Self Attention(MHSA),the coded information related to the channel dimension is *** tackle these issues,we propose theRepBoTNet-CESA network,an advanced AD-aided diagnostic model that is capable of learning local and global features *** combines the advantages of CNN networks in capturing local information and Transformer networks in integrating global information,reducing computational costs while achieving excellent classification ***,it uses the Cubic Embedding Self Attention(CESA)proposed in this paper to incorporate the channel code information,enhancing the classification performance within the Transformer ***,the RepBoTNet-CESA performs well in various AD-aided diagnosis tasks,with an accuracy of 96.58%,precision of 97.26%,and recall of 96.23%in the AD/NC task;an accuracy of 92.75%,precision of 92.84%,and recall of 93.18%in the EMCI/NC task;and an accuracy of 80.97%,precision of 83.86%,and recall of 80.91%in the AD/EMCI/LMCI/NC *** demonstrates that RepBoTNet-CESA delivers outstanding outcomes in various AD-aided diagnostic ***,our study has shown that MHSA exhibits superior performance compared to conventional attention mechanisms in enhancing ResNet ***,the Deeper RepBoTNet-CESA network fails to make further progress in AD-aided diagnostic tasks.

Supramolecular polymers,as a type of dynamic polymers,are subordinate to the interdisciplinary field of polymer chemistry and supramolecular chemistry,whose development has greatly promoted the prosperity of new ***,molecular weight is one of the most important parameters of supramolecular polymers,which affects the physical/chemical properties and processing applications of *** new methods for characterizing the molecular weight of supramolecular polymers is crucial for advancing the development of supramolecular *** this review,we elaborate and summarize three strategies for characterizing the molecular weight of supramolecular polymers that recently reported by our research group according to the characteristics of supramolecular polymers,including(1)the molecular weight distinction corresponding to variable fluorescence colors,(2)matching different molecular weights with different fluorescence lifetime,(3)transforming supramolecular polymers into mechanically interlocked polymers or covalent ***,we also discuss the limitations of current methods for characterizing supramolecular *** hope that this review can promote the development of supramolecular polymers and significantly inspire to exploit new methods to characterizing molecular weight of supramolecular polymers.

Complex segregation occurs in a binary particle system with differing particle sizes and densities, particularly when the larger particles are heavier (S-D system, i.e., size minus density system). Predicting the segregation pattern driven by multiple mechanisms simultaneously is often challenging. This study explores the segregation mechanisms in a quasi-2D circular drum containing a S-D system, realizing a transition between the S-core and Core-and-band patterns by adjusting the drum rotation speed. During the transition of the segregation pattern, only the S-core pattern chiefly driven by the percolation mechanism is initially observed. As the rotation speed increases, the buoyancy mechanism and particle diffusion gradually strengthen, jointly driving the formation of the Core-and-band pattern. A dimensionless strength ratio, l 1/4 H=h, where H and h respectively represent the diffusion and buoyancy strengths at length scales, is introduced to elucidate this transition. Knowledge about the seismic elastic modulus dispersion,and associated attenuation,in fluid-saturated rocks is essential for better interpretation of seismic observations taken as part of hydrocarbon identification and time-lapse seismic surveillance of both conventional and unconventional reservoir and overburden performances.A Seismic Elastic Moduli Module has been developed,based on the forced-oscillations method,to experimentally investigate the frequency dependence of Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio,as well as the inferred attenuation,of cylindrical samples under different confining pressure *** with three standard samples showed that the measured elastic moduli were consistent with the published data,indicating that the new apparatus can operate reliably over a wide frequency range of f∈[1-2000,10^(6)]*** Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of the shale and the tight sandstone samples were measured under axial stress oscillations to assess the frequency-and pressure-dependent *** dry condition,both samples appear to be nearly frequency independent,with weak pressure dependence for the shale and significant pressure dependence for the *** particular,it was found that the tight sandstone with complex pore microstructure exhibited apparent dispersion and attenuation under brine or glycerin saturation conditions,the levels of which were strongly influenced by the increased effective *** addition,the measured Young's moduli results were compared with the theoretical predictions from a scaled poroelastic model with a reasonably good agreement,revealing that the combined fluid flow mechanisms at both mesoscopic and microscopic scales possibly responsible for the measured dispersion.
