A vortex-induced vibration(VIV)experiment of rough risers with coupling interference effect under a side-by-side arrangement was carried out in a wave-current combined *** roughness of the riser was characterized by arranging different specifications of surface attachments on the surface of the *** risers with three different roughnesses were arranged side by side with smooth risers to explore the VIV response of the riser under the combined action of roughness and interference effect,and to reveal the coupling mechanism between roughness and interference *** experimental results show that,compared with that of a smooth riser,the VIV of a rough riser under the coupling interference effect has a wider"lock-in"region,and the displacement decreases more significantly at a high reduced velocity,which is more likely to excite higher-order modes and frequency *** addition,the displacement response and frequency response of the smooth riser are not significantly affected by wake interference from the rough riser,which is caused by the decrease of the wake region due to the delay of the boundary layer separation point of the rough riser.

Great efforts have been devoted to the study of photo-responsive adsorption,but its current methodology largely depends on the well-defined photochromic units and their photo-driven molecular ***,a methodology to fabricate nondeforming photo-responsive sorbents is successfully *** C_(60)-fullerene doping in metalloporphyrin metal-organic frameworks(PCN-M,M=Fe,Co,or Ni)and intensively interacting with the metalloporphyrin sites,effective charge-transfer can be achieved over the metalloporphyrin-C_(60) architectures once excited by the light at 350 to 780 *** electron density distribution and the resultant adsorption activity are thus changed by excited states,which are also stable enough to meet the timescale of microscopic adsorption *** charge-transfer over Co(II)-porphyrin-C_(60) is proved to be more efficient than the Fe(II)-and Ni(II)-porphyrin-C_(60) sites,as well as than all the metalloporphyrin sites,so the CO_(2) adsorption capacity(CAC;at 0°C and 1 bar)over the C_(60)-doped PCN-Co can be largely improved from 2.05 mmol g^(−1) in the darkness to 2.69 mmol g−1 with light,increased by 31%,in contrast to photo-irresponsive CAC over all C_(60)-undoped PCN-M sorbents and only the photo-loss CAC over C_(60).

As a four-electron transfer reaction,oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is limited by large overpotential and slow ***,we in-situ synthesized two-dimensional(2D)Ni-Fe metal-organic framework nanosheets on nickel foam(NixFe-TPA/NF,TPA=terephthalic acid)for oxygen evolution in alkaline and alkaline seawater *** 1 M KOH,Ni3Fe-TPA/NF shows a low overpotential(η10)of 189 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2) and an ultra-low overpotential of only 260 mV at 500 mA·cm^(-2).In alkaline seawater,Ni3Fe-TPA/NF still provides impressive OER performance,with anη10 of 265 ***-situ Raman characterization results show that the phase transition occurs during the OER,and Ni3FeOOH with more oxygen vacancies is in-situ formed,reducing the OER energy *** functional theory(DFT)reveals that the synergy between Ni and Fe reduces the energy barrier and accelerates the rate-determining *** addition,the ultra-thin 2D sheet structure and the close combination of Ni3FeOOH and highly conductive NF support ensure the high catalytic OER ***,the surface reconstruction and structural modification strategy can be used to design and prepare high-performance OER electrocatalysts for energy-related applications.

Designing microstructures and unveiling dynamic erosion mechanisms remain important challenges for Ag-based contacts. To simultaneously enhance erosion and compression resistance, an Al Co Cr Fe Ni high-entropy alloy(heA) is introduced into Ag-based materials to fabricate novel Ag-heA contacts with island-and skeletonrestricted microstructures. The arc erosion experimental results reveal that the skeleton-restricted heA microstructure is the key factor in reducing the hill and crater morphologies of the contact surface, effectively delaying material transfer between the movable and stationary contacts. The molten bridge evolution and compressive deformation behavior of Ag-heA contacts with various microstructures are investigated using molecular dynamics(MD) simulations. MD results indicate that the constraint of Ag atom diffusion in the molten pool and the involvement of heA atoms in the molten bridge are the primary mechanisms for improving erosion resistance. The skeleton-restricted heA microstructure reduces the total energy and structural stability of the molten bridge system and promotes its fracture and disintegration. Moreover, the synergistic effect of the twin and Lomerz–Cottrell lock structures can hinder dislocation glide, generating dispersed and small-area stacking faults in the Ag matrix and mitigating the concentration of shear strains. Thus, the skeleton-restricted heA microstructure contributes positively to compression resistance. This study presents a novel approach to designing Ag-based contacts.

AIM:To explore the therapeutic effect and main molecular mechanisms of acteoside in a glaucoma model in DBA/2J ***:Proteomics was used to compare the differentially expressed proteins of C57 and DBA/2J *** acteoside administration in DBA/2J mice,anterior segment observation,intraocular pressure(IOP)monitoring,electrophysiology examination,and hematoxylin and eosin staining were used to analyze any potential ***(IHC)assays were used to verify the proteomics ***,retinal ganglion cell 5(RGC5)cell proliferation was assessed with cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)*** domain-containing protein 4(Sertad4)mRNA and protein expression levels were measured by qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis,***:Proteomics analysis suggested that Sertad4 was the most significantly differentially expressed *** with the saline group,the acteoside treatment group showed decreased IOP,improved N1-P1 wave amplitudes,thicker retina,and larger numbers of cells in the ganglion cell layer(GCL).The IHC results showed that Sertad4 expression levels in DBA/2J mice treated with acteoside were significantly lower than in the saline *** treatment could improve RGC5 cell survival and reduce the Sertad4 mRNA and protein expression levels after glutamate ***:Sertad4 is differentially expressed in DBA/2J *** can protect RGCs from damage,possibly through the downregulation of Sertad4,and has a potential use in glaucoma treatment.

Background： The International Prognostic Score （IPS） was developed based on the data of Western advanced Hodgkin lymphoma （HL） patients treated before 1992. Only a few studies ever evaluated the application value of IPS in Chinese population or in patients treated in the contemporary era whose outcomes has improved significantly than before. Methods： We conducted a retrospective study involving 208 previously untreated Chinese advanced HL patients, who were admitted to Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from January 1, 1999 to April 30, 2015 and received uniform first-line treatment. The prognostic value of both IPS and the seven IPS factors for freedom-from progression （FFP） and overall survival （OS） was assessed in this population. The statistical methods included Kaplan-Meier methodology, log-rank testing, and Cox proportional hazard regression analysis. Results： With a median follow-up time of 79 months （range, 15-210 months）, the 5-year FFP and OS were 78.8% and 86.0% respectively, which improved obviously compared with the original IPS study. The IPS remained prognostic for both FFP （P = 0.041 ） and OS （P = 0.013）, but the range narrowed obviously, with 5-year FFP ranging from 87.2% to 61.5%, 5-year OS ranging from 94.1% to 69.2%, and the separation of survival curves was not as good as before. Only two of the seven IPS factors showed a significant independent prognostic value in the multivariate analysis： Stage IV （for FFP, hazard ratio [HR] = 2.219, 95% confidence interval [CI]： 1.148-3.948, P = 0.016; for OS, HR = 2.491, 95% CI： 1.159-5.355, P = 0.019） and hemoglobin 〈105 g/L （for FFP, HR = 2.136, 95% CI： 1.123-4.060, P = 0.021; for OS, HR = 2.345, 95% CI： 1.099-5.042, P = 0.028）. A simple prognostic score calculated by adding one point each for any of the two factors was prognostic both for FFP （P 〈 0.001 ） and OS （P 〈 0.001 ） with the survival curves separating very well, but the range still narrowed. Extensive numerical simulations and scaling analysis are performed to investigate competitive growth between the linear and nonlinear stochastic dynamic growth systems, which belong to the Edwards–Wilkinson(EW) and Kardar–Parisi–Zhang(KPZ) universality classes, respectively. The linear growth systems include the EW equation and the model of random deposition with surface relaxation(RDSR), the nonlinear growth systems involve the KPZ equation and typical discrete models including ballistic deposition(BD), etching, and restricted solid on solid(RSOS). The scaling exponents are obtained in both the(1 + 1)-and(2 + 1)-dimensional competitive growth with the nonlinear growth probability p and the linear proportion 1-p. Our results show that, when p changes from 0 to 1, there exist non-trivial crossover effects from EW to KPZ universality classes based on different competitive growth rules. Furthermore, the growth rate and the porosity are also estimated within various linear and nonlinear growths of cooperation and competition.
