Background Postoperative delayed hyponatremia(PDH)is a major cause of readmission after endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery(eTSS)for pituitary adenomas(PAs).However,the risk factors associated with PDH have not been well established,and the development of a dynamic online nomogram for predicting PDH is yet to be *** aimed to investigate the predictive factors for PDH and construct a dynamic online nomogram to aid in its *** We analyzed the data of 226 consecutive patients who underwent eTSS for PAs at the Department of Neurosurgery in Jinling Hospital between January 2018 and October *** additional 97 external patients were included for external *** was defined as a serum sodium level below 137 mmol/L,occurring on the third postoperative day(POD)or *** Hyponatremia on POD 1-2(OR=2.64,P=0.033),prothrombin time(PT)(OR=1.78,P=0.008),and percentage of monocytes(OR=1.22,P=0.047)were identified as predictive factors for PDH via multivariable logistic regression *** on these predictors,a nomogram was constructed with great discrimination in internal validation(adjusted AUC:0.613-0.688)and external validation(AUC:0.594-0.617).Furthermore,the nomogram demonstrated good performance in calibration plot,Brier Score,and decision curve *** analysis revealed robust predictive performance in patients with various clinical subtypes and mild to moderate *** Preoperative PT and the percentage of monocytes were,for the first time,identified as predictive factors for *** dynamic nomogram proved to be a valuable tool for predicting PDH after eTSS for PAs and demonstrated good *** could benefit from early identification of PDH and optimized treatment decisions.

Dynamic changes in the collagen metabolism of liver fibrosis at the transcription level in rabbits with Schistosomiasis japonica

OBJECTIVE: To study the role of the synthesis and degradation of collagen at the transcription level during liver fibrogenesis due to schistosomiasis japonica in rabbits. METHODS: New Zealand rabbits challenged by cercariae of Schistosoma japonicum (S. japonicum) were served as animal models for liver fibrosis. Liver specimens were collected through operations at 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 24 and 28 wks after challenge. Type I collagen, type III collagen, type IV collagen, MMP-1 and MMP-9 mRNA levels of liver tissue were detected by RT-PCR + Dot blot. The size of egg granulomas and the degree of liver fibrosis were measured by histopathological examinations. RESULTS: Type I collagen, type III collagen, type IV collagen, MMP-1 and MMP-9 mRNA levels increased simultaneously in the early stage after challenge. Most of them reached their peak at 10 weeks, and compared with normal controls, type I collagen, type III collagen, type IV collagen, MMP-1 and MMP-9 mRNA levels increased by 12.0-, 11.0-, 6.6-, 10.0- and 11.0-fold, respectively, coinciding with the change of egg granulomas, i.e., the change in the inflammatory process. Then both collagen and collagenase mRNA levels decreased. Type I, III and IV collagen mRNA levels declined to 2-fold to 3-fold as compared with normal controls (P 0.05) at 28 wks. This study shows that the synthesis and degradation of collagen keep a dynamic balance at the early stage of schistosomiasis japonica challenge, while at the later stages the quantity of collagen synthesis was higher than that of collagen degradation. CONCLUSIONS: It was confirmed at transcription level that when the quantity of collagen synthesis was higher than that of collagen degradation liver fibrogenesis may be resulted in.

Amplicon-based metagenomics identified candidate organisms in soils that caused yield decline in strawberry

A phenomenon of yield decline due to weak plant growth in strawberry was recently observed in non-chemo-fumigated soils,which was not associated with the soil fungal pathogen Verticillium dahliae,the main target of ***-based metagenomics was used to profile soil microbiota in order to identify microbial organisms that may have caused the yield decline.A total of 36 soil samples were obtained in 2013 and 2014 from four sites for metagenomic studies;two of the four sites had a yield-decline problem,the other two did *** than 2000 fungal or bacterial operational taxonomy units(OTUs)were found in these *** abundance of individual OTUs was statistically compared for differences between samples from sites with or without yield decline.A total of 721 individual comparisons were statistically significant–involving 366 unique bacterial and 44 unique fungal *** on further selection criteria,we focused on 34 bacterial and 17 fungal OTUs and found that yield decline resulted probably from one or more of the following four factors:(1)low abundance of Bacillus and Pseudomonas populations,which are well known for their ability of supressing pathogen development and/or promoting plant growth;(2)lack of the nematophagous fungus(Paecilomyces species);(3)a high level of two non-specific fungal root rot pathogens;and(4)wet soil *** study demonstrated the usefulness of an amplicon-based metagenomics approach to profile soil microbiota and to detect differential abundance in microbes.

Nickel-rich transition-metal oxides are widely regarded as promising cathode materials for high-energydensity lithium-ion batteries for emerging electric vehicles. However, achieving high energy density in Ni-rich cathodes is accompanied by substantial safety and cycle-life obstacles. The major issues of Ni-rich cathodes at high working potentials are originated from the unstable cathode-electrolyte interface, while the underlying mechanism of parasitic reactions towards surface reconstructions of cathode materials is not well understood. In this work, we controlled the Li_(2)CO_(3) impurity content on LiNi_(0.83)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.07)O_(2) cathodes using air, tank-air, and O_(2) synthesis environments. Home-built high-precision leakage current and on-line electrochemical mass spectroscopy experiments verify that Li_(2)CO_(3) impurity is a significant promoter of parasitic reactions on Ni-rich cathodes. The rate of parasitic reactions is strongly correlated to Li_(2)CO_(3) content and severe performance deterioration of Ni83 *** post-mortem characterizations via high-resolution transition electron microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy depth profiles reveal that parasitic reactions promote more Ni reduction and O deficiency and even rock-salt phase transformation at the surface of cathode materials. Our observation suggests that surface reconstructions have a strong affiliation to parasitic reactions that create chemically acidic environment to etch away the lattice oxygen and offer the electrical charge to reduce the valence state of transition metal. Thus, this study advances our understanding on surface reconstructions of Nirich cathodes and prepares us for searching for rational strategies.

Sub-Window尺度空间的Attention-HardNet特征匹配算法

为保护尺度空间边缘和角点信息,提高特征匹配算法的可靠性,提出一种Sub-Window尺度空间的Attention-HardNet特征匹配算法。该算法通过Sub-window box filter构建尺度空间来充分保留尺度空间图像边缘及角点信息;使用FAST算法提取尺度空间特征点来提高特征点提取速度,再利用圆形非极大值抑制算法对其进行优化,提高准确率;对HardNet特征提取网络添加SENet注意力机制,构成Attention-HardNet,提取鲁棒性更强的128维浮点型特征描述符,最后利用L2距离衡量不同描述符的相似性,完成图像特征点匹配。在Oxford数据集上对匹配算法抗尺度、压缩、光照等性能进行测试,由测试结果可以看出本文算法相较于常用匹配算法,匹配正确率得到较大提升,相较于L2net、HardNet等深度学习方法,匹配正确率提高3%左右,速度约提高10%。

以北京六里屯垃圾填埋场为个案,通过描述统计、多元回归分析等统计方法,对填埋场周边民众的焦虑情绪、风险认知和邻避态度三者状况及其内在关联进行实证分析。研究发现:近3/4的居民属中度以上焦虑,近6成居民邻避态度强烈;焦虑情绪与邻避态度具有显著的正相关关系;在风险认知的4个因素——生活品质、环境污染、身体健康、补偿意愿中,补偿意愿与邻避态度存在显著的负相关关系,生活品质、环境污染、身体健康三者均与邻避态度呈显著的正相关关系。

Objective:Pituitary adenomas(PA) are the most common tumor of the sellar *** resection is the preferred treatment for patients with clear indications for *** cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) leakage is one of the major complications of PA resection *** factors for intraoperative CSF leakage have been studied previously but not developed into a predictive *** constructed a nomogram for preoperatively predict intraoperative CSF leakage in endoscopic pituitary ***:A total of 232 patients with PAs,underwent endoscopic PA resection at the Department of Neurosurgery in Jinling Hospital between January 2018 and October 2020,were enrolled in this retrospective *** treated by a board-certified neurosurgeon were randomly classified into training cohort and validation cohort.A range of demographic,clinical,radiological and laboratory features data were acquired from the medical ***-and multi-variate logistic regression were utilized to analyze these features and develop the nomogram *** used receiver operation characteristic(ROC) curve and calibration curve to evaluate the predictive performance of the nomogram ***:Variables were comparable between training cohort and validation *** height and albumin were included in the final prediction *** area under curve(AUC) of the nomogram model were 0.733 and 0.643 in training cohort and validation cohort *** calibration curve showed satisfactory homogeneity between predicted probability and actual ***:Tumor height and albumin were the independent risk factor for intraoperative CSF *** prediction model developed in this study is the first nomogram that can be used by clinicians as a practical and effective tool to facilitate the preoperative prediction of intraoperative CSF leakage in endoscopic pituitary surgery,thus enabling optimized treatment decisions.
