Generalized B´ezier surfaces are a multi-sided generalization of classical tensor product B´ezier surfaces with a simple control structure and inherit most of the appealing properties from B´ezier ***,the original degree elevation changes the geometry of generalized B´ezier surfaces such that it is undesirable in many applications,*** *** this paper,we propose an improved degree elevation algorithm for generalized B´ezier surfaces preserving not only geometric consistency but also parametric *** on the knot insertion of B-splines,a novel knot insertion algorithm for generalized B´ezier surfaces is also *** the proposed algorithms are employed to increase degrees of freedom for multi-sided computational domains parameterized by generalized B´ezier surfaces in isogeometric analysis,corresponding to the traditional p-,h-,and *** examples demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our method.

Association of Multiple Urinary Phthalates Metabolites with Diabetes Risk in Elderly Population

As a common environmental endocrine disruptor,phthalate exposure could affect the diabetes ***,it remains unclear whether phthalate exposure in the elderly population alters diabetes *** conducted a cross-sectional survey to explore the effect of urinary phthalate metabolites on diabetes in the *** conducted a health survey of 200 elderly in northeastern China and measured urinary concentrations of 64 phthalate *** next evaluated the association between major phthalates and phthalate mixtures and diabetes in the *** least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)regression screened for mono(3-carboxypropyl)phthalate(MCPP),monoethyl phthalate(MEP),and mono(2-ethyl-5-hydroxyhexyl)phthalate(MEHHP)as important predictors for *** quantile sum(WQS)regression and Bayesian Kernel Machine regression(BKMR)models consistently found MEHHP(Weights=51.9%,PIP=0.97)to have the greatest effect on diabetes risk in the ***,MEHHP was associated with an increased risk of diabetes in the multipollutant logistic regression model(OR=2.148,95%CI:1.255 to 3.677).The overall effect of coexposure to MCPP,MEHHP,and MEP on the risk of diabetes in elderly population was significant and *** summary,we found that increased urinary MEHHP levels could increase the risk of diabetes in the elderly ***-exposure to MCPP,MEHHP and MEP may increase the risk of diabetes.

[Objectives]To explore the mechanism of Huanglian detoxification soup improving pain behavior by affecting serum IL-2 levels in postherpetic neuralgia(post herpes neuralgia,PHN)model rats.[Methods]20 PHN rats were randomly divided into model group(PHN group)and detoxification decoction group(n=10).In the group,10%Huanglian detoxification soup(0.4 mL/0.1 kg)was given once in the morning and evening for 14 *** PHN group was filled with an equal volume of 0.9%sodium chloride *** vein serum inflammatory factor interleukin-2(IL-2),IL-βand IL-6 levels were measured using ELISA kits at 7 and 21 d.[Results]IL-2 increased at 14 and 21 d in IL group,while IL-βand IL-6 decreased compared with the PHN group(P<0.05).[Conclusions]Huanglian detoxification soup may raise IL-2 levels after VZV infection to promote the differentiation of cells of the immune system,so as to relieve the pain caused by IL-βand IL-6 inflammatory factors.

Simulations of electron zebra stripes in the inner radiation belt using a composite empirical electric field model

The phenomenon termed “zebra stripes” manifests as regular patterns in the energy-space(L shell) spectrum of energetic electrons(ranging from tens to hundreds keV) within the inner radiation belt. These structures exhibit drift-periodic behavior and commonly arise from large-scale electric field perturbations near the substorm onsets. In this study, we introduce a composite electric field model and replicate the formation, structure, and evolution of zebra stripes using a bounce-averaged test particle code under this electric field model. High-resolution measurements of energetic electrons obtained from the Van Allen Probes and the recently launched Macao Science Satellites-1 are used as initial conditions and served to validate our test particle simulations. Comparative analyses between observed data and simulations demonstrate our test particle method's efficacy in capturing zebra stripes' general behavior. Moreover, the composite model proves capable of reproducing realistic variations in the electric field within the inner radiation belt to a certain extent. Nevertheless, subtle differences emerge in the flux strength and the positions of stripes. These disparities primarily stem from limitations inherent in the electric field model and the initial conditions of the simulation. Acknowledging that the model represents an average case, it is conceivable that real-world scenarios may deviate from the average, thereby introducing variations in the observed phenomena.

As a prevailing cathode material of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),LiCoO_(2)(LCO)still encounters the tricky problems of structural collapse,whose morphological engineering and cation doping are crucial for surmounting the mechanical strains and alleviating phase degradation upon ***,we propose a strategy using a zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)as the self-sacrificing template to directionally prepare a series of LiNi_(0.1)Co_(0.9)O_(2)(LNCO)with tailorable electrochemical *** rational selection of sintering temperature imparts the superiority of the resultant products in lithium storage,during which the sample prepared at 700℃(LNCO-700)outperforms its counterparts in cyclability(156.8 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C for 200 cycles in half cells,1 C=275 mA g^(-1))and rate capability due to the expedited ion/electron transport and the strengthen mechanical *** feasibility of proper Ni doping is also divulged by half/full cell tests and theoretical study,during which LNCO-700(167 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C for 100 cycles in full cells)surpasses LCO-700 in battery performance due to the mitigated phase deterioration,stabilized layered structu re,ameliorated electro nic co nductivity,a nd exalted lithium sto rage *** work systematically unveils tailorable electrochemical behaviors of LNCO to better direct their practical application.

The effects of interrupted aging on mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of 7A75 aluminum alloy extruded bar were investigated through various analyses,including electrical conductivity,mechanical properties,local corrosion properties,and slow strain rate tensile stress corrosion *** characterization techniques such as metallographic microscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)were also *** results indicate that the tensile strength of the alloy produced by T6I6 aging is similar to that produced by T6I4 aging,and it even exceeds 700 ***,the yield strength increases by 52.7 MPa,reaching 654.8 MPa after T6I6 aging *** maximum depths of intergranular corrosion(IGC)and exfoliation corrosion(EXCO)decrease from 116.3 and 468.5μm to 89.5 and 324.3μm,*** stress corrosion factor also decreases from 2.1%to 1.6%.These findings suggest that the alloy treated with T6I6 aging exhibits both high strength and excellent stress corrosion cracking ***,when the alloy is treated with T6I4,T6I6 and T6I7 aging,the sizes of grain boundary precipitates(GBPs)are found to be 5.2,18.4,and 32.8 nm,*** sizes of matrix precipitates are 4.8,5.7 and 15.7 nm,*** atomic fractions of Zn in GBPs are 9.92 at.%,8.23 at.%and 6.87 at.%,respectively,while the atomic fractions of Mg are 12.66 at.%,8.43 at.%and 7.00 at.%,***,the atomic fractions of Cu are 1.83 at.%,2.47 at.%and 3.41 at.%,respectively.

Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have rapidly risen to the forefront of energy storage systems as a promising supplementary for Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)F_(3)(NVPF)as a common cathode of SIBs,features the merits of high operating voltage,small volume change and favorable specific energy ***,it suffers from poor cycling stability and rate performance induced by its low intrinsic ***,we propose an ingenious strategy targeting superior SIBs through cross-linked NVPF with multi-dimensional nanocarbon frameworks composed of amorphous carbon and carbon nanotubes(NVPF@C@CNTs).This rational design ensures favorable particle size for shortened sodium ion transmission pathway as well as improved electronic transfer network,thus leading to enhanced charge transfer kinetics and superior cycling *** from this unique structure,significantly improved electrochemical properties are obtained,including high specific capacity(126.9 mAh g^(-1)at 1 C,1 C=128 mA g^(-1))and remarkably improved long-term cycling stability with 93.9%capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 20 *** energy density of 286.8 Wh kg^(-1)can be reached for full cells with hard carbon as anode(NVPF@C@CNTs//HC).Additionally,the electrochemical performance of the full cell at high temperature is also investigated(95.3 mAh g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 1 C at 50℃).Such nanoscale dual-carbon networks engineering and thorough discussion of ion diffusion kinetics might make contributions to accelerating the process of phosphate cathodes in SIBs for large-scale energy storages.

The booming development of wearable devices has aroused increasing interests in flexible and stretchable *** mechanosensory functionality,these devices are highly desirable on account of their wide range of applications in electronic skin,personal healthcare,human–machine interfaces and ***,they are mostly limited by single electrical signal feedback,restricting their diverse applications in visualized mechanical *** by the mechanochromism of structural color materials,interactively stretchable electronics with optical and electrical dual-signal feedbacks are recently emerged as novel sensory platforms,by combining both of their sensing mechanisms and ***,recent studies on interactively stretchable electronics based on structural color materials are *** a brief introduction of their basic components(i.e.,stretchable electronics and mechanochromic structural color materials),two types of interactively stretchable electronics with respect to the nanostructures of mechanochromic materials are outlined,focusing primarily on their design considerations and fabrication ***,the main challenges and future perspectives of these emerging devices are discussed.
