A negative Poisson's ratio(NPR)structure represents optimal impact-resistance with applications in various fields,including the crash box in vehicles,which absorbs impact kinetic *** crash box is designed to deform in response to impact,increasing local structural density,which enhances impact resistance *** studies have only focused on the NPR effect in the plane dimension at low-speed *** studies have considered high-speed impact loads on three-dimensional NPR *** have developed two types of AlSi10Mg alloy energy-absorbing structures with NPR using three-dimensional printing technology,and have compared our systems with a conventional hexagonal mesh *** testing involved split-Hopkinson pressure bar measurements,which showed good agreement with dynamic numerical *** subjected to an impact load,the NPR structure exhibited better impact resistance and energy absorption compared with the positive Poisson's ratio *** proposed dual-layer hexagonal structure ensures an NPR effect while exhibiting higher strength and improved stability relative to the conventional concave hexagon structure.

Analysis of sensitivity to hydrate blockage risk in natural gas gathering pipeline

During the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, the formation of hydrates is highly probable, leading to uncontrolled movement and aggregation of hydrates. The continuous migration and accumulation of hydrates further contribute to the obstruction of natural gas pipelines, resulting in production reduction, shutdowns, and pressure build-ups. Consequently, a cascade of risks is prone to occur. To address this issue, this study focuses on the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, where a comprehensive framework is established. This framework includes theoretical models for pipeline temperature distribution, pipeline pressure distribution, multiphase flow within the pipeline, hydrate blockage, and numerical solution methods. By analyzing the influence of inlet temperature, inlet pressure, and terminal pressure on hydrate formation within the pipeline, the sensitivity patterns of hydrate blockage risks are derived. The research indicates that reducing inlet pressure and terminal pressure could lead to a decreased maximum hydrate formation rate, potentially mitigating pipeline blockage during natural gas transportation. Furthermore, an increase in inlet temperature and terminal pressure, and a decrease in inlet pressure, results in a displacement of the most probable location for hydrate blockage towards the terminal station. However,it is crucial to note that operating under low-pressure conditions significantly elevates energy consumption within the gathering system, contradicting the operational goal of energy efficiency and reduction of energy consumption. Consequently, for high-pressure gathering pipelines, measures such as raising the inlet temperature or employing inhibitors, electrical heat tracing, and thermal insulation should be adopted to prevent hydrate formation during natural gas transportation. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the value of relative exchangeable copper(REC) in diagnosing Wilson's disease(WD) and to determine its significance in the differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) ***: A total of 78 patients with WD were recruited on the same day of the medical visit, and among them,32 were suffering from non-WD(N-WD) and 37 were heterozygous ATP7B carriers(HC) enrolled as *** genetic testing was performed for diagnosing WD and HC. Additionally, REC levels in different TCM syndromes were investigated. The correlation between REC and serum ceruloplasmin(Cp), serum copper oxidase(CO), and 24-h urinary copper was analyzed using the Global Assessment Scale and Unified Wilson's Disease Rating Scale and the significance of REC in WD diagnosis was investigated. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to assess the clinical symptoms of WD and analyze its severity in different TCM ***: REC determination helped in significantly distinguishing patients with N-WD or HC from those with WD with a cut-off of 21.15%. Furthermore, the comparative analysis of REC ratios among different TCM syndromes showed markedly high REC levels in the dampness-heat internal accumulation syndrome ***, the seed-based functional connectivity value from the putamen to the cerebellum was significantly correlated with TCM ***: REC level is a high-quality biomarker for diagnosing WD that effectively reflects disease severity and plays an essential role in deciding on treatment strategies and prognosis. Furthermore, REC levels are closely related to TCM syndromes in WD; thus, it is a potential objective quantitative indicator for distinguishing TCM syndromes in WD.
