The Response of Carbonate System to Watershed Urbanization Process in a Semi-Arid River

Different from rivers in humid areas,the variability of riverine CO_(2) system in arid areas is heavily impacted by anthropogenic disturbance with the increasing urbanization and water *** this study,the water chemistry and the controls of carbonate system in an urbanized river(the Fenhe River)on the semi-arid Loess Plateau were *** water chemistry of the river water showed that the high dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC)concentration(about 3. mg L^(-1))in the upstream with a karst land type was mainly sourced from carbonate weathering involved by H_(2)CO_(3. and H_(2)SO_(4.,resulting in an oversaturated partial pressure of CO_(2)(pCO_(2))(about 800μatm).In comparison,damming resulted in the widespread appearance of non-free flowing river segments,and aquatic photosynthesis dominated the DIC and pCO_(2) spatiality demonstrated by the enriched stable isotope of DIC(δ^(13.CDIC).Especially in the mid-downstream flowing through major cities in warm and low-runoff August,some river segments even acted as an atmospheric CO_(2) *** noteworthy is wastewater input leading to a sudden increase in DIC(>55 mg L^(-1))and pCO_(2)(>4.00μatm)in the downstream of Taiyuan City,and in cold November the increased DIC even extended to the outlet of the *** results highlight the effects of aquatic production induced by damming and urban sewage input on riverine CO_(2) system in semi-arid areas,and reducing sewage discharge may mitigate CO_(2) emission from the rivers.

A quasi-human algorithm for solving the three-dimensional rectangular packing problem

Based on the concept of maximal rectangular space that can be filled at current time and the siege warfare tactics, we make several critical improvements on the quasi-human caving-degree approach to get a stronger algorithm ICDA for a classical NP hard problem: the three-dimensional rectangular packing problem. Within similar computing time, the new algorithm gained an average volume utilization of 90.92% on the natural and difficult 100 benchmarks, called BR15, where items to be packed are almost different in size. Compared with current best record just reported in the literature in 2010, our result makes an improvement by 0.54..

Suppressing nonradiative recombination and releasing residual strain areprerequisites to improving the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Here,long-chain polyacrylic acid(PAA)is used to reinforce SnO_(2)film and passivate SnO_(2)defects,forming a structure similar to“reinforcedconcrete”with high tensile strength and fewer ***,PAA is also introduced to the SnO_(2)/perovskite interface as a“buffer spring”torelease residual strain,which also acts as a“dual-side passivation interlayer”to passivate the oxygen vacancies of SnO_(2)and Pb dangling bonds in *** a result,the best inorganic CsPbBr_(3.PSC achieves a championpower conversion efficiency of 10.83.with an ultrahigh open-circuit voltageof 1.674.*** unencapsulated PSC shows excellent stability under 80%relative humidity and 80℃over 120 days.

It is of great significance to improve the efficiency of railway production and operation by realizing the fault knowledge association through the efficient data mining ***,high utility quantitative frequent pattern mining algorithms in the field of data mining still suffer from the problems of low time-memory performance and are not easy to scale *** the context of such needs,we propose a related degree-based frequent pattern mining algorithm,named Related High Utility Quantitative Item set Mining(RHUQI-Miner),to enable the effective mining of railway fault *** algorithm constructs the item-related degree structure of fault data and gives a pruning optimization strategy to find frequent patterns with higher related degrees,reducing redundancy and invalid frequent ***,it uses the fixed pattern length strategy to modify the utility information of the item in the mining process so that the algorithm can control the length of the output frequent pattern according to the actual data situation and further improve the performance and practicability of the *** experimental results on the real fault dataset show that RHUQI-Miner can effectively reduce the time and memory consumption in the mining process,thus providing data support for differentiated and precise maintenance strategies.

The upper bound of the minimal number of hidden neurons for the parity problem in binary neural networks

Binary neural networks (BNNs) have important value in many application *** adopt linearly separable structures,which are simple and easy to implement by *** a BNN with single hidden layer,the problem of how to determine the upper bound of the number of hidden neurons has not been solved well and *** paper defines a special structure called most isolated samples (MIS) in the Boolean *** prove that at least 2 n 1 hidden neurons are needed to express the MIS logical relationship in the Boolean space if the hidden neurons of a BNN and its output neuron form a structure of AND/OR *** the paper points out that the n -bit parity problem is just equivalent to the MIS ***,by proposing a new concept of restraining neuron and using it in the hidden layer,we can reduce the number of hidden neurons to n .This result explains the important role of restraining neurons in some ***,on the basis of Hamming sphere and SP function,both the restraining neuron and the n -bit parity problem are given a clear logical meaning,and can be described by a series of logical expressions.

Exceptional point enhanced nanoparticle detection in deformed Reuleaux‑triangle microcavity

In this paper,we propose a deformed Reuleaux-triangle resonator(RTR)to form exceptional point(EP)which results in the detection sensitivity enhancement of *** introducing single nanoparticle to the deformed RTR at EP,frequency splitting obtains an enhancement of more than 6 times compared with non-deformed *** addition,EP induced a result that the far feld pattern of chiral mode responses signifcantly to external perturbation,corresponding to the change in internal ***,single nanoparticle with far distance of more than 4.00 nm can be detected by measuring the variation of far feld directional *** to traditional frequency splitting,the far feld pattern produced in deformed RTR provides a cost-efective and convenient path to detect single nanoparticle at a long distance,without using tunable laser and external *** structure indicates great potential in high sensitivity sensor and label-free detector.

Salient region detection and segmentation for general object recognition and image understanding

General object recognition and image understanding is recognized as a dramatic goal for computer vision and multimedia retrieval. In spite of the great efforts devoted in the last two decades, it still remains an open problem. In this paper, we propose a selective attention-driven model for general image understanding, named GORIUM (general object recognition and image understanding model). The key idea of our model is to discover recurring visual objects by selective attention modeling and pairwise local invariant features matching on a large image set in an unsupervised manner. Towards this end, it can be formulated as a four-layer bottom-up model, i.e., salient region detection, object segmentation, automatic object discovering and visual dictionary construction. By exploiting multi-task learning methods to model visual saliency simultaneously with the bottom-up and top-down factors, the lowest layer can effectively detect salient objects in an image. The second layer exploits a simple yet effective learning approach to generate two complementary maps from several raw saliency maps, which then can be utilized to segment the salient objects precisely from a complex scene. For the third layer, we have also implemented an unsupervised approach to automatically discover general objects from large image set by pairwise matching with local invariant features. Afterwards, visual dictionary construction can be implemented by using many state-of-the-art algorithms and tools available nowadays.

Unsupervised Oral Endoscope Image Stitching Algorithm

Oral endoscope image stitching algorithm is studied to obtain wide-field oral images through regis-tration and stitching,which is of great significance for auxiliary *** with natural images,oral images have lower textures and fewer ***,traditional feature-based image stitching methods rely heavily on feature extraction quality,often showing an unsatisfactory performance when stitching images with few ***,due to the hand-held shooting,there are large depth and perspective disparities between the captured images,which also pose a challenge to image *** overcome the above problems,we propose an unsupervised oral endoscope image stitching algorithm based on the extraction of overlapping regions and the loss of deep *** the registration stage,we extract the overlapping region of the input images by sketching polygon intersection for feature points screening and estimate homography from coarse to fine on a three-layer feature pyramid ***,we calculate loss using deep features instead of pixel values to emphasize the importance of depth disparities in homography ***,we reconstruct the stitched images from feature to pixel,which can eliminate artifacts caused by large *** method is compared with both feature-based and previous deep-based methods on the UDIS-D dataset and our oral endoscopy image *** experimental results show that our algorithm can achieve higher homography estimation accuracy,and better visual quality,and can be effectively applied to oral endoscope image stitching.

Introduction:The purpose of this study is to examine the potential causal relationship between levels of circulating glycine and coronary artery disease(CAD)using a two-step Mendelian randomization(MR)***:We analyzed data from genome-wide association studies(GWAS)conducted on European and East Asian *** assess the causal effects of circulating glycine levels on the risk of *** used the inverse-variance weighting(IVW),weighted median(WM),MR-Egger,and Mendelian Randomization Pleiotropy RESidual Sum and Outlier(MR-PRESSO)***,we conducted mediation analysis to investigate the contribution of blood pressure and other cardiovascular disease-related ***:The two-step Mendelian randomization analysis revealed that higher levels of glycine in the blood were associated with a reduced risk of CAD in Europeans[odds ratio(OR)=0.84.95%confidence interval(CI):0.72,−0.98;P=0.029]and East Asians:(OR=0.76,95%CI:0.66,−0.89;P=3.57×10−4..Sensitivity analysis confirmed the robustness of these ***,our results suggest that about 6.06%of the observed causal effect is mediated through genetically predicted systolic blood pressure(SBP)in the European ***:Our results contribute to the current knowledge regarding the involvement of glycine in the progression of CAD,and provide valuable methodological insights for the prevention and treatment of this condition.

In response to the development of the concepts of“carbon neutrality”and“carbon peak”,it is critical to developing materials with high near-infrared(NIR)solar reflectivity and high emissivity in the atmospheric transparency window(ATW;8–13.m)to advance zero energy consumption radiative cooling *** regulate emission and reflection properties,a series of high-entropy rare earth stannate ceramics(HE-RE_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7):(Y_(0.2)La_(0.2)Nd_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Gd_(0.2))_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7),(Y_(0.2)La_(0.2)Sm_(0.2)Eu_(0.2)Lu_(0.2))_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7),and(Y_(0.2)La_(0.2)Gd_(0.2)Yb_(0.2)Lu_(0.2))_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7))with severe lattice distortion were prepared using a solid phase reaction followed by a pressureless sintering method for the first *** distortion is accomplished by introducing rare earth elements with different cation radii and *** as-synthesized HE-RE_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7)ceramics possess high ATW emissivity(91.3.%–95.4.%),high NIR solar reflectivity(92.74.–97.62%),low thermal conductivity(1.080–1.619 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1)),and excellent chemical *** the one hand,the lattice distortion intensifies the asymmetry of the structural unit to cause a notable alteration in the electric dipole moment,ultimately enlarging the ATW *** the other hand,by selecting difficult excitation elements,HE-RE_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7),which has a wide band gap(Eg),exhibits high NIR solar ***,the multi-component design can effectively enhance radiative cooling ability of HE-RE_(2)Sn_(2)O_(7)and provide a novel strategy for developing radiative cooling materials.
