Silica-modified Pt/TiO_(2) catalysts with tunable suppression of strong metal-support interaction for cinnamaldehyde hydrogenation

Tuning Strong Metal-support Interactions(SMSI)is a key strategy to obtain highly active catalysts,but conventional methods usually enable TiO encapsulation of noble metal components to minimize the exposure of noble *** study demonstrates a catalyst preparation method to modulate a weak encapsulation of Pt metal nanoparticles(NPs)with the supported TiO_(2),achieving the moderate suppression of SMSI *** introduction of silica inhibits this encapsulation,as reflected in the characterization results such as XPS and HRTEM,while the Ti4+to Ti3+conversion due to SMSI can still be found on the support ***,the hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde(CAL)as a probe reaction revealed that once this encapsulation behavior was suppressed,the adsorption capacity of the catalyst for small molecules like H_(2) and CO was enhanced,which thereby improved the catalytic activity and facilitated the hydrogenation of ***,the introduction of SiO_(2) also changed the surface structure of the catalyst,which inhibited the occurrence of the acetal reaction and improved the conversion efficiency of C=O and C=C *** manipulation of SMSI formation and its consequence on the performance in catalytic hydrogenation reactions are discussed.

Upgrading of vacuum residue is of prime industrial significance due to the increasing demand for light *** the effect of catalyst morphology on vacuum residue hydrotreating performance by kinetic modeling is therefore of great ***,kinetic analysis of hydrodemetallization(HDM)and hydrodeconradsoncarbon-residue(HDCCR)performances on industrial Ni-Mo/Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts with spherical and cylindrical morphologies in ebullated-bed were evaluated for more than 1600 *** was found that the percentage of light impurities easier to be removed on spherical catalysts were 78.20%and 39.43%in HDM and HDCCR reactions,respectively,higher than 65.20%and 17.50%on cylindrical *** suggests that catalyst morphology affects the impurity removal ability and the impurity properties,resulting in better hydrotreating performance of spherical *** work not only combines catalyst morphology with impurity removal capability through kinetic modeling,but also provides new insights into the design of efficient hydrotreating catalysts.

Capturing and utilizing CO_(2)from the production process is the key to solving the excessive CO_(2)emission problem. CO_(2)hydrogenation with green hydrogen to produce olefins is an effective and promising way to utilize CO_(2)and produce valuable chemicals. The olefins can be produced by CO_(2)hydrogenation through two routes, i.e., CO_(2)-FTS (carbon dioxide Fischer- Tropsch synthesis) and MeOH (methanol-mediated), among which CO_(2)-FTS has significant advantages over MeOH in practical applications due to its relatively high CO_(2)conversion and low energy consumption potentials. However, the CO_(2)-FTS faces challenges of difficult CO_(2)activation and low olefins selectivity. Iron-based catalysts are promising for CO_(2)-FTS due to their dual functionality of catalyzing RWGS and CO-FTS reactions. This review summarizes the recent progress on iron-based catalysts for CO_(2)hydrogenation via the FTS route and analyzes the catalyst optimization from the perspectives of additives, active sites, and reaction mechanisms. Furthermore, we also outline principles and challenges for rational design of high-performance CO_(2)-FTS catalysts.

Proliferation and differentiation of intestinal stem cell(ISC)to replace damaged gut mucosal epithelial cells in inflammatory states is a critical step in ameliorating gut ***,when this disordered proliferation continues,it induces the ISC to enter a cancerous *** gut microbiota on the free surface of the gut mucosal barrier is able to interact with ISC on a sustained ***-biota metabolites are able to regulate the proliferation of gut stem and progenitor cells through transcription factors,while in steady state,differentiated colono-cytes are able to break down such metabolites,thereby protecting stem cells at the gut *** the future,the gut flora and its metabolites mediating the regulation of ISC differentiation will be a potential treatment for enteropathies.

The nucleus of Darkschewitsch(ND), mainly composed of GABAergic neurons, is widely recognized as a component of the eye-movement controlling system. However, the functional contribution of ND GABAergic neurons(NDGABA) in animal behavior is largely unknown. Here, we show that NDGABA neurons were selectively activated by different types of fear stimuli, such as predator odor and foot *** and chemogenetic manipulations revealed that NDGABA neurons mediate freezing ***, using circuit-based optogenetic and neuroanatomical tracing methods, we identified an excitatory pathway from the lateral periaqueductal gray(l PAG) to the ND that induces freezing by exciting ND inhibitory outputs to the motor-related gigantocellular reticular nucleus, ventral part(Gi V). Together,these findings indicate the NDGABA population as a novel hub for controlling defensive response by relaying fearful information from the l PAG to Gi V, a mechanism critical for understanding how the freezing behavior is encoded in the mammalian brain.

BACKGROUND Previous studies have demonstrated the benefits of ideal cardiovascular health(CVH)in reducing cardiovas-cular ***,its role in subclinical atherosclerosis(SA)progression remains *** aim to examine the association of estimated by the American Heart Association's new Life's Essential 8(LE8),with the progression of ***,METHODS This prospective cohort study was conducted among 972 asymptomatic Chinese participants and followed up for 5.7 *** LE8 score(range,0–100)consisted of blood pressure,lipids,glucose,body mass index,smoking status,diet health,physical activity and sleep health was evaluated in 1998 and 2008–*** of SA was determined by carotid plaque and coronary artery calcification(CAC)in 2008–2009 and 2013–***-binomial regression model was used to estimate the associ-of LE8 score with SA *** RESULTS Each 10 points increment in LE8 score was associated with 15.2%(RR:0.848,95%CI:0.797–0.902),17.7%(RR:0.823,95%CI:0.766–0.884)and 12.0%(RR:0.880,95%CI:0.845–0.916)lower risks of carotid plaque,CAC and overall SA progression,*** with participants with non-ideal CVH at both visits,the participants with ideal CVH at both visits had 39.1%(RR:0.609,95%CI:0.494–0.752),41.0%(RR:0.590,95%CI:0.456–0.764)and 29.7%(RR:0.703,95%CI:0.598–0.825)lower of carotid plaque,CAC and overall SA progression,*** CONCLUSIONS Higher LE8 scores were associated with lower risks of SA ***,long-term maintenance of op-timal CVH was more beneficial to prevent SA progression.
