In this paper, authors obtain the spectral peaks of the earth free oscillation and check all normal modes from 0S0 to 0S48 accurately, with the Fourier analysis and the maximum entropy spectrum method dealing jointly with six groups of the observational residual data from five international superconducting gravimeter stations. By comparing the observational results in this paper with three former groups of observations or models, authors notice an extra discrepancy between two observational 0S2 modes excited separately by Peru earthquake and Alaska earthquake, which probably mirrors the anisotropy of the earth's inner core. The analysis on the splitting 1S2 mode shows that the asymmetric factor of rotationwise spectral splitting is possible to be different from that of anti-rotationwise spectral splitting.

In actual exploration,the demand for 3D seismic data collection is increasing,and the requirements for data are becoming higher and ***,the collection cost and data volume also *** at this problem,we make use of the nature of data sparse expression,based on the theory of compressed sensing,to carry out the research on the efficient collection method of seismic *** combines the collection of seismic data and the compression in data processing in practical work,breaking through the limitation of the traditional sampling frequency,and the sparse characteristics of the seismic signal are utilized to reconstruct the missing *** focus on the key elements of the sampling matrix in the theory of compressed sensing,and study the methods of seismic data *** to the conditions that the compressed sensing sampling matrix needs to meet,we introduce a new random acquisition scheme,which introduces the widely used Low-density Parity-check(LDPC)sampling matrix in image processing into seismic exploration ***,its properties are discussed and its conditions for satisfying the sampling matrix in compressed sensing are *** the LDPC sampling method and the conventional data acquisition method are used to synthesize seismic data reconstruction *** reconstruction results,signal-to-noise ratio and reconstruction error are compared to verify the seismic data based on sparse *** LDPC sampling method improves the current seismic data reconstruction efficiency,reduces the exploration cost and the effectiveness and feasibility of the method.

Adversarial data splitting for domain generalization

Domain generalization aims to learn a model that is generalizable to an unseen target domain,which is a fundamental and challenging task in machine learning for out-of-distribution generalization. This paper proposes a novel domain generalization approach that enforces the learned model to be able to generalize well over the train/val subset splitting of the training dataset. This idea is modeled herein as an adversarial data splitting framework, formulated as a min-max optimization problem inspired by the metalearning approach. The min-max optimization problem is solved by iteratively splitting the training dataset into the training and val subsets to maximize the domain shift measured by the objective function and updating the model parameters to enable the model to generalize well from the training subset to the val subset by minimizing the objective function. This adversarial training approach does not assume the known domain labels of the training data; instead, it automatically investigates the “hard” splitting of the train/val subsets to learn the generalizable model. extensive experimental results using three benchmark datasets demonstrate the superiority of this approach. In addition, we derive a generalization error bound for the theoretical understanding of our proposed approach.

The chemical equilibrium equations utilized in reactive transport modeling are complex and nonlinear,and are typically solved using the Newton-Raphson *** this algorithm is known for its quadratic convergence near the solution,it is less effective far from the solution,especially for ill-conditioned *** such cases,the algorithm may fail to converge or require excessive *** address these limitations,a projected Newton method is introduced to incorporate the concept of *** method constrains the Newton step by utilizing a chemically allowed interval that generates feasible descending ***,we utilize the positive continuous fraction method as a preconditioning technique,providing reliable initial values for solving the *** numerical results are compared with those derived using the regular Newton-Raphson method,the Newton-Raphson method based on chemically allowed interval updating rules,and the bounded variable least squares method in six different test *** numerical results highlight the robustness and efficacy of the proposed algorithm.

As a Turing test in multimedia,visual question answering(VQA)aims to answer the textual question with a given ***,the“dynamic”property of neural networks has been explored as one of the most promising ways of improving the adaptability,interpretability,and capacity of the neural network ***,despite the prevalence of dynamic convolutional neural networks,it is relatively less touched and very nontrivial to exploit dynamics in the transformers of the VQA tasks through all the stages in an end-to-end ***,due to the large computation cost of transformers,researchers are inclined to only apply transformers on the extracted high-level visual features for downstream vision and language *** this end,we introduce a question-guided dynamic layer to the transformer as it can effectively increase the model capacity and require fewer transformer layers for the VQA *** particular,we name the dynamics in the Transformer as Conditional Multi-Head Self-Attention block(cMHSA).Furthermore,our questionguided cMHSA is compatible with conditional ResNeXt block(cResNeXt).Thus a novel model mixture of conditional gating blocks(McG)is proposed for VQA,which keeps the best of the Transformer,convolutional neural network(CNN),and dynamic *** pure conditional gating CNN model and the conditional gating Transformer model can be viewed as special examples of *** quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate McG on the CLeVR and VQA-Abstract *** experiments show that McG has achieved the state-of-the-art performance on these benchmark datasets.

The study considers gas compression properties,gas slippage,back pressure(BP),phase transition(PT),well depth,and differences in gas-liquid physical properties.A new temperature model for multiphase flow is proposed by considering phase transition in the drilling *** mathematical model of multiphase flow is solved using the finite difference method with annulus mesh division for grid nodes,and a module for multiphase flow calculation and analysis is *** results indicate that the temperature varies along the annulus with the variation of gas influx at the bottom of the *** the process of controlled pressure drilling,as gas slips along the annulus to the wellhead,its volume continuously expands,leading to an increase in the gas content within the annulus,and consequently,an increase in the pressure drop caused by gas *** temperature increases with the increase in BP and decreases in gas influx rate and wellbore *** gas influx,the thermal conductivity coefficient for the gas-drilling mud two phases is significantly weakened,resulting in a considerable change in temperature along the *** the context of MPD,the method of slightly changing the temperature along the annulus by controlling the back pressure is feasible.

In a crowd density estimation dataset,the annotation of crowd locations is an extremely laborious task,and they are not taken into the evaluation *** this paper,we aim to reduce the annotation cost of crowd datasets,and propose a crowd density estimation method based on weakly-supervised learning,in the absence of crowd position supervision information,which directly reduces the number of crowds by using the number of pedestrians in the image as the supervised *** this purpose,we design a new training method,which exploits the correlation between global and local image features by incremental learning to train the ***,we design a parent-child network(PC-Net)focusing on the global and local image respectively,and propose a linear feature calibration structure to train the PC-Net simultaneously,and the child network learns feature transfer factors and feature bias weights,and uses the transfer factors and bias weights to linearly feature calibrate the features extracted from the Parent network,to improve the convergence of the network by using local features hidden in the crowd *** addition,we use the pyramid vision transformer as the backbone of the PC-Net to extract crowd features at different levels,and design a global-local feature loss function(L2).We combine it with a crowd counting loss(LC)to enhance the sensitivity of the network to crowd features during the training process,which effectively improves the accuracy of crowd density *** experimental results show that the PC-Net significantly reduces the gap between fullysupervised and weakly-supervised crowd density estimation,and outperforms the comparison methods on five datasets of Shanghai Tech Part A,ShanghaiTech Part B,UCF_CC_50,UCF_QNRF and JHU-CROWD++.

As a new water treatment technology,Fenton-like reaction has great *** this study,we successfully prepared an excellent Fenton-like catalyst,which is composed of cobalt monoatoms and asymmetric subnanoclusters(labeled CoSA/Clu-C_(2)N),and exhibits excellent peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation *** directly comparing the catalytic properties of CoSA-C_(2)N and CoSA/Clu-C_(2)N,the synergistic effects of coasymmetric Co subclusters and Co atoms on the activation of PMS and degradation of organic micropollutants were *** results showed that CoSA/Clu-C_(2)N had higher degradation rates of carbamazepine(CBZ),antipyrine(AT)and chlorobenzoic acid(CA)when combined with active oxidant *** cyclic frequency of CBZ was 5.4 min^(-1),which was twice as high as the catalytic constant of CoSA-C_(2)N(2.4 min^(-1)).The results show that CoSA/Clu-C_(2)N cobalt subnanoclusters and cobalt single atom can synergistically improve the catalytic performance of activated PMS oxidation of micropollutants in *** addition,electron paramagnetic resonance(ePR)technology has proved that the introduction of Co subnano clusters in CoSA/Clu-C_(2)N is conducive to the production of singlet oxygen(1O_(2)),thereby improving the efficiency of pollutant *** work lays a solid foundation for the future design of advanced multifunctional catalysts by carefully regulating and combining monmetallic atoms and metal subnanoclusters.

Stretchable electronics have found widespread applications in various fields such as wearable electronics,soft robots,and *** an important promising alternative of traditional rigid conductors,liquid metals have demonstrated immense potential to provide high conductivity and stretchability for the stretchable electronic ***,limited by their fluidity and high surface tension,challenges remain in achieving liquid metal patterns with low-cost,high-precision,large-scale,and complex ***,a fabrication technique was proposed based on laser-induced graphene(LIG)stamps to enable liquid metal self-selectively adhere to *** metal patterns could thus be achieved in different designed geometries and could be transferred onto stretchable *** liquid metal patterns exhibit exceptional electrical conductivity(3.24×10^(6)S/m even under 1000%strain),high stretchability(1000%strain,maximum of 2500%),small resistance changes under significant deformations(with a quality factor of 62.5 under 1000%strain),and high resolution(down to 50μm).Utilizing the patterned liquid metals,a stretchable integrated multifunctional optoelectronic system was demonstrated,encompassing a stretchable display matrix,a pressure sensor array,a wireless powering coil,and cardiovascular sensors,which further highlight the remarkable application potential of liquid metals in optoelectronic user-interaction and advanced physiological monitoring.
