Neuropeptides are crucial in regulation of a rich variety of developmental,physiological,and behavioral functions throughout the life cycle of *** an integrated approach of multiomics,we identified neuropeptide precursors in the greater wax moth Galleria mellonella,which is a harmful pest of honeybee hives with a worldwide ***,a total of 63 and 67 neuropeptide precursors were predicted and annotated in the *** genome and transcriptome,in which 40 neuropeptide precursors were confirmed in the *** ***,we identified 12 neuropeptide precursor genes present in *** but absent in honeybees,which may be potential novel pesticide target *** hives were contaminated with heavy metals such as lead,enabling its bioaccumulation in *** bodies through the food chain,we performed transcriptome sequencing to analyze the effects of Pb stress on the mRNA expression level of *** neuropeptide *** treatment by Pb,the expression of neuropeptide F1 was found to be significantly downregulated,implying that this neuropeptide might be associated with responding to the heavy metal stress in *** study comprehensively identified neuropeptide precursors in ***,and discussed the effects of heavy metals on insect neuropeptides,with the example of *** results are valuable for future elucidation of how neuropeptides regulate physiological functions in *** and contribute to our understanding of the insect's environmental plasticity and identify potential new biomarkers to assess heavy metal toxicity in insects.

The utilization of the dispersive Fourier transformation approach has enabled comprehensive observation of the birth process of dissipative solitons in fiber ***,there is still a dearth of deep understanding regarding the extinction process of dissipative *** this study,we have utilized a combination of experimental and numerical techniques to thoroughly examine the breathing dynamics of dissipative solitons during the extinction process in an Er-doped mode-locked fiber *** results demonstrate that the transient breathing dynamics have a substantial impact on the extinction stage of both steady-state and breathing-state dissipative *** duration of transient breathing exhibits a high degree of sensitivity to variations in pump *** simulations are utilized to produce analogous breathing dynamics within the framework of a model that integrates equations characterizing the population inversion in a mode-locked *** results corroborate the role of Q-switching instability in the onset of breathing ***,these findings offer new possibilities for the advancement of various operational frameworks for ultrafast lasers.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the distribution of Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes in patients with diabetic kidney disease(DKD) and its related ***: We enrolled 435 patients with DKD, who were not undergoing dialysis, admitted to the Department of Nephrology, First Medical Center, Chinese PLA General Hospital from April 2020 to August *** of their TCM syndromes and related factors was carried ***: The 435 patients included 109, 117, 86, and 123 chronic kidney disease(CKD) 1-2, CKD3, CKD4, and CKD5 cases, respectively. With the progression of CKD1-5, the proportion of Yin deficiency and dry heat syndrome,and that of Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome showed a downward trend, whereas the proportion of spleen-kidney Yang deficiency, blood deficiency, blood stasis, water stagnation, and phlegm turbidity syndromes showed an upward trend;the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that Yin deficiency and dry heat syndrome was positively correlated with hemoglobin [odds ratio(OR) =1.022, P = 0.005], albumin(OR = 1.058, P = 0.006), and estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)(OR = 1.020,P < 0.001) but negatively correlated with male sex(OR =0.277, P = 0.004). Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome was positively correlated with albumin(OR = 1.056, P < 0.001)and eGFR(OR = 1.008, P = 0.022) but negatively correlated with age(OR = 0.977, P = 0.023). Liver-kidney Yin deficiency syndrome was positively correlated with age(OR = 1.028, P = 0.021) and glycosylated hemoglobin(OR = 1.223, P = 0.007) but negatively correlated with total cholesterol(OR = 0.792, P = 0.006).Spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome was negatively correlated with hemoglobin(OR = 0.977, P < 0.001),albumin(OR = 0.891, P < 0.001), and eGFR(OR = 0.978,P < 0.001) but positively correlated with high density lipoprotein(OR = 3.376, P = 0.001). 石墨炔(Graphdiyne,GDY)是一种全新的炭材料,具有特殊的炭杂化排列方式、独特的化学性质和电子结构以及独特的孔隙结构等优点,在电化学储能领域具有良好的应用前景。新兴的水系离子电池具有低成本和高安全性等优点,然而,高性能电极材料的开发、新型隔膜体系的设计以及稳定界面的策略等仍是水系离子电池面临的主要挑战。石墨炔在负极保护、正极包覆、隔膜设计以及稳定界面pH值等方面,可以改善离子传输与界面沉积行为、电解液不稳定等问题。特别是石墨炔自下而上的分子结构设计策略使其具有易修饰、掺杂的特点,改性的石墨炔类似物具有更加优异的性能,拓宽了其在水系离子电池中的应用。本文系统综述了石墨炔的结构与性质以及合成方法,特别对石墨炔在水系离子电池中的研究进行了总结。此外,对石墨炔在水系离子电池中应用时仍存在的问题与挑战进行了探讨,对石墨炔在水系离子电池中的发展进行了展望。

An ecological perspective on Joseph Rock’s(1884-1962)plant collection activities in China

Electrochemical reconstruction: a new perspective on Sn metal-organic complex microbelts as robust anode for lithium storage

Tin-based materials with high theoretical capacity and suitable working voltage are ideal anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). However, to overcome their shortcomings(volume expansion and inferior stability), the preparation processes are usually complicated and expensive. Herein, a tin-based metal-organic complex(tin 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, Sn-BDC)with one-dimensional microbelt morphology is synthesized by a facile, rapid and low-cost co-precipitation method, and served as anode material for LIBs without any post-treatment. Sn-BDC exhibits a high reversible capacity with609/440 m Ah·g^(-1) at 50/2000 m A·g^(-1), and robust cycling stability of 856 m Ah·g^(-1) after 200 cycles at 200 m A·g^(-1),which are obviously superior to that of the Sn Ox/C counterparts. Moreover, an electrochemical reconstruction perspective on the lithium storage mechanism of Sn-BDC is proposed by systematic ex-situ characterizations. The reconstructed SnO_(2) replaces Sn-BDC and becomes the active material in the subsequent cycles. As the by-product of the lithiation reaction, the formed Li-based metal-organic complex(Li-BDC, wrapped around the reconstructed SnO_(2)) plays an important role in alleviating volume expansion and accelerating the charge transfer *** work is beneficial to design and construct the new electrode materials based on the electrochemical reconstruction for advanced LIBs.

Composite solid electrolytes(CSEs) containing polymer matrices and inorganic fillers hold promise for the next generation of solid-state ***,the role of residual solvents in CSEs remains *** study investigated the evolution and function of the residual solvent in a polymer-Li_2B_(12)H_(12) CSE.A partial reaction occurred between Li_2B_(12)H_(12) and solvent N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF),which produced dimethylaminomethanol(DMAM) in the *** functional theory calculations have revealed that DMA M forms stronger hydrogen bonds with polyvinylidene fluoride chains than DMF,which can have a plasticizing effect on the polymer matrix,leading to lower crystallinity and quicker segment ***,this CSE exhibited improved Li-ion conducting properties,enabling the stable cycling of Li‖LiFePO_(4) solid-state *** study provided insights into the role of residual solvents in CSEs.

Effects of oral probiotics on inflammation and intestinal function in adult patients after appendectomy:Randomized controlled trial

BACKGROUND Appendectomy is an acute abdominal surgery that is often accompanied by severe abdominal *** probiotics are one of the postoperative treatments for rapid ***,there is a lack of prospective studies on this topic after *** To investigate whether the postoperative probiotics can modulate the inflammatory response and restore intestinal function in patients following *** This was a prospective,randomized trial.A total of 60 emergency patients were randomly divided into a control group(n=30)and a probiotic group(n=30).Patients in the control group started to drink some water the first day after surgery,and those in the probiotic group were given water supplemented with Bacillus licheniformis capsules for 5 consecutive days *** indices of inflammation and postoperative conditions were recorded,and the data were analyzed with RStudio 4.3.2 *** A total of 60 participants were *** with those in the control group,the C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin 6 and procalcitonin(PCT)levels were significantly lower in the probiotic group at 2 d after surgery(P=2.224e-05,P=0.037,and P=0.002,respectively,all P<0.05).This trend persisted at day 5 post-surgery,with CRP and PCT levels remaining significantly lower in the probiotic group(P=0.001 and P=0.043,both P<0.05).Furthermore,probiotics0.028,both P<0.05).CONCLUSION Postoperative oral administration of probiotics may modulate the gut microbiota,benefit the recovery of the early inflammatory response,and subsequently enhance recovery after appendectomy.
