China’s carbon accounting system in the context of carbon neutrality: Current situation, challenges and suggestions

Significance of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060 on China's energy transition pathway: A multi-model comparison analysis

China has proposed to achieve carbon neutrality by *** previous studies have assessed net-zero emissions pathways in China,the diversity observed in these studies in terms of model construction and parameter setting has led to inconsistent conclusions on some key issues,such as energy *** study employs a multi-model comparison method to examine the significance of China's carbon neutrality target on its energy systems by assessing 67 carbon neutrality scenarios in China that are collected from the ADVANCE database,and identifying the differences between energy transition pathways under BEF60 scenarios(*** realising carbon neutrality by 2060)and AFT60 scenarios(*** realising carbon neutrality after 2060).Results show that China needs a larger deployment of low-carbon electricity,a higher electrification rate and more carbon sequestration amount under BEF60 scenarios than those under AFT60 ***,the magnitude of the difference between the two categories of scenarios varies significantly in terms of different outcome *** that present significant disparities include the deployment scale of solar power(increasing by 160%),the electrification rate of the building sector(increasing by 27%)and the carbon sequestration amount of biomass power with carbon capture and storage(increasing by 380%).In addition,this study selects six indicators to present the technological and economic characteristics of various energy systems of China at the point of net-zero *** the relationships between characteristics,this research identifies the common features among various net-zero energy systems.A great share of non-biomass renewable power generation is always associated with a relatively high per capita energy use,implying that high renewables penetration may relax restrictions on energy consumption,which should be addressed for China when making efforts to promote energy transition.

Carbon neutrality has increasingly become a crucial agenda within global climate ***,recent observations show that the governance architecture for carbon neutrality is transforming to ***,there is still a lack of systematic investigation on carbon neutrality governance under the polycentric *** this background,this study attempts to investigate the emergence and structure of polycentric climate governance,and to figure out to what extent the evolving polycentric system can contribute to the climate change governance towards carbon *** results show that efforts made by actors at transnational and subnational levels within the polycentric system can greatly complement the deficits of carbon neutrality governance by international regime and state government in many different ***,the identified issues,that are critical to carbon neutrality including climate legislation,adaptation,technology deployment and data authenticity and transparency,can be addressed in a more effective way through the coordination among multiple actors at multiple ***,further research should be conducted to address the dynamic linkages between international regimes as well as the issues related to small and medium-sized cities,and develop a comprehensive evaluation and accounting system for the risks and benefits of polycentric climate governance.

Global climate governance has entered the era of carbon neutrality,as a growing number of countries have set the goal of carbon neutrality for long-term emissions reduction toward the mid-21st *** 2020,China also pledged itself to the goal of carbon neutrality,which creates an urgent demand for this country to establish a systematic and integrated national climate governance *** this background,this paper conducts a systematic literature review of climate governance systems from the perspectives of top-level design and the governance paradigm to bring insights into climate governance toward carbon *** results show that although there are interactions between decarbonization and other environmental,social and economic fields,research gaps still exist when enhancing climate governance toward carbon *** example,issues regarding incorporating climate factors into the overall economic and social layout,strengthening the capacity of data collection relevant to climate adaptation,integrating climate mitigation and adaption actions,as well as connecting domestic climate governance and international cooperation,need to be further *** addition,within the national governance system,studies combining both regional and sectoral concerns and the intertemporal dynamic allocation mechanism need to be further addressed when China decomposes its national climate ***,the division of power between the central government and local government,as well as the communication scheme between government and non-state actors,also turns out to be important for effective *** on this analysis,policy implications are further proposed for China’s formulation and implementation of long-term strategies of climate governance toward carbon neutrality.

Indolizines and their derivatives,which exhibit intriguing molecular structures featured by an N-bridgehead bicyclic ring system fused with both a π-excessive pyrrole and a π-deficient pyridine,have been employed as an important basic building block in a wide range of natural products and *** indolizines have shown important biological activities,such as antibacterial,antiviral,anti-HIV,anti-inflammatory,5-HT3 receptor antagonist,muscular relaxant,as well as antioxidant.A new silver-mediated highly selective C-H functionalization of 2-alkylazaarenes with internal and terminal alkynes for the creation of substituted indolizines in one-pot has been *** process firstly represents a simple,efficient and atom-economic way to construct polysubstituted indolizines in good yields from internal and terminal alkynes through C-H functionalization of 2-alkylazaarenes.

Factors influencing oil recovery by surfactant-polymer flooding in conglomerate reservoirs and its quantitative calculation method

This study aims to clarify the factors influencing oil recovery of surfactant-polymer(SP)flooding and to establish a quantitative calculation model of oil recovery during different displacement stages from water flooding to SP *** conglomerate reservoir of the Badaowan Formation in the seventh block of the Karamay Oilfield is selected as the research object to reveal the start-up mechanism of residual oil and determine the controlling factors of oil recovery through SP flooding experiments of natural cores and microetching *** experimental results are used to identify four types of residual oil after water flooding in this conglomerate reservoir with a complex pore structure:oil droplets retained in pore throats by capillary forces,oil cluster trapped at the junction of pores and throats,oil film on the rock surface,isolated oil in dead-ends of flow *** the four types of residual oil identified,the SP solution can enhance oil recovery by enlarging the sweep volume and improving the oil displacement ***,the viscosity-increasing effect of the polymer can effectively reduce the permeability of the displacement liquid phase,change the oil-water mobility ratio,and increase the water ***,the stronger the shear drag force of the SP solution,the more the crude oil in a porous medium is ***,the surfactant can change the rock wettability and reduce the absorption capacity of residual oil by lowering interfacial *** the same time,the emulsification further increases the viscosity of the SP solution,and the residual oil is recovered effectively under the combined effect of the above two *** the four start-up mechanisms of residual oil identified after water flooding,enlarging the sweep volume and improving the oil displacement efficiency are interdependent,but their contribution to enhanced oil recovery are *** SP flooding system primarily enlarges the sweep volume by increasing viscos

Assessment of the macro-economic impacts of low-carbon road transportation policies in Chongqing,China

Reductions in the transportation sector's carbon dioxide emissions are increasingly of global *** one of the first low-carbon pilot and carbon trading pilot cities,and as one of the largest automobile production bases in China,Chongqing has multiple low-carbon transportation policies that are *** this study,three policy scenarios are set,including:1)improving the fuel economy of newly sold gasoline passenger cars to 5.71 per 100 km by 2020,2)promoting pure electric private cars to increase the share to 7% of private car sales by 2020,and 3)the policy mix scenario of the above two *** are undertaken with the Chinese Academy of Sciences general equilibrium(CAS-GE)model,a type of computable GE model,to assess the macro-economic impact and the industrial impact of the three policy *** the policy impact mechanism analysis and data-mapping process,the micro-economic impact analysis results,including costs and fuel savings,for the two policies from the bottom-up model are taken as the shock variables and inputs for the CAS-GE *** results show that:1)the two policies will both have a slightly negative impact(-0.09% and -0.30%)on Chongqing's GDP in 2020;2)the employment rate will decrease by 0.12% and 0.47%,but the inflation rate will be restrained to a certain extent(-0.21% and -0.17%);and 3)the complementarity of the mixed policy can weaken the negative impact of the two policies when implemented *** mixed policy will reduce the GDP slightly by 0.37%,compared with the cumulative effect of the two policies implemented separately,resulting in cost-effective synergies at the macroeconomic impact level;and 4)the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has an uncertain impact on the *** method and results can provide a reference for the formulation and adjustment of low-carbon transportation policies in other large cities.

BACKGROUND Liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors,and ranks as the fourth leading cause of cancer death *** invasion(MVI)is considered one of the most important factors for recurrence and poor prognosis of liver ***,accurately identifying MVI before surgery is of great importance in making treatment strategies and predicting the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Radiomics as an emerging field,aims to utilize artificial intelligence software to develop methods that may contribute to cancer diagnosis,treatment improvement and evaluation,and better *** To investigate the predictive value of computed tomography radiomics for MVI in solitary HCC≤5 *** A total of 185 HCC patients,including 122 MVI negative and 63 MVI positive patients,were retrospectively *** patients were randomly assigned to the training group(n=124)and validation group(n=61).A total of 1351 radiomic features were extracted based on three-dimensional *** diagnostic performance of the radiomics model was verified in the validation group,and the Delong test was applied to compare the radiomics and MVIrelated imaging features(two-trait predictor of venous invasion and radiogenomic invasion).RESULTS A total of ten radiomics features were finally obtained after screening 1531 *** to the weighting coefficient that corresponded to the features,the radiomics score(RS)calculation formula was obtained,and the RS score of each patient was *** radiomics model exhibited a better correction and identification ability in the training and validation groups[area under the curve:0.72(95%confidence interval:0.58-0.86)and 0.74(95%confidence interval:0.66-0.83),respectively].Its prediction performance was significantly higher than that of the image features(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Computed tomography radiomics has certain predictive value for MVI in solitary HCC≤5 cm,and the predictive ability is higher
