This paper identifies the contributions of p-a-SiC：H layers and i-a-Si：H layers to the open circuit voltage of p-i-n type a-Si：H solar cells deposited at a low temperature of 125℃. We find that poor quality p-a-SiC：H films under regular conditions lead to a restriction of open circuit voltage although the band gap of the i-layer varies widely. A significant improvement in open circuit voltage has been obtained by using high quality p-~SiC：H films optimized at the ＂low-power regime＂ under low silane flow rates and high hydrogen dilution conditions.

BACKGROUND: The proliferation and metastasis of cancers depend on angiogenesis. This property provides the feasibility for the treatment of cancer by inhibition of angiogenesis, and many angiogenic inhibitors have been demonstrated to effectively inhibit angiogenesis and consequently the growth of solid cancer. As for the newly identified angiogenesis inhibitor, arresten, some studies have found its high activity on restrainting tumor vessel. This study was to assess the anti-angiogenic activity of arresten. METHODS: The arresten gene was obtained from a healthy puerpera's placenta tissue by the reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method, and molecular cloning to prokaryotic expression plasmid pBV220 by recombination strategy. The prokaryotic expression plasmid pBV220/arr was identified by restriction enzyme digestion and sequenced. The pBV220/arr was transformed into E. coli JM109, DH5α, BL21 and BL21 (DE3) by the CaCl_2 transformation method. The arresten expression level was detected by SDS-PAGE. The expressed product was purlfled, re-naturalized and detected for its biological activity of inhibiting the angiogenesis of chorioallantoic membrane (CAM). RESULTS: The arresten gene was cloned and pBV220/arr was constructed. The arresten expression level of protein was highly increased after pBV220/arr was transformed into E. coli BL21 (DE3). SDS-PAGE showed that the expressed arresten proteins were mainly inclusion bodies and had a molecular weight of 26 kDa. The expressed arresten protein showed evident biological activities. CONCLUSIONS: The successful construction of recombinant plasmid pBV220/arr and the effective expression in E. coil have laid a foundation for further study of its anti-angiogenic function and may pave the way for future antitumor application.

Cooperative routing technology can efficiently improve the performance of the network by initiatively selecting cooperative nodes to forward the data. In this article, cooperative routing algorithms are proposed and implemented based on three different criteria： optimal channel state, maximal remaining energy, and the shortest path. The simulation based on network simulation （NS） compares the performance of the proposed algorithms with non-cooperative destination-sequenced distancevector （DSDV） protocol. The results reveal that cooperative algorithms outperform DSDV routing protocol with distinctive gains at the cost of sacrificing acceptable normalized network load.

A novel weighted cooperative routing algorithm （WCRA） is proposed in this article, which was on the basis of a weighted metric with maximal remaining energy （MRE） of the relays and the maximal received SNR （MRS） of the nodes. Moreover, a cooperative routing protocol was implemented on the basis of WCRA. Then simulation is done on network simulation （NS-2） platform to compare the performances of MRS, MRE and WCRA with that of noncooperative destination-sequenced destination-sequenced distance-vector （DSDV） protocol. The simulative results show that WCRA obtains a performance tradeoff between MRE and MRS in terms of delivery ratio and network lifetime, which can effectively improve the network lifetime at an acceptable loss of delivery ratio.

In this work, we performed the pulse-decay experiment on a fractured shale core and applied the 3 D embedded discrete fracture model(EDFM) to simulate the experiment process. The irregularly rough fracture surface was depicted in detail using a 3 D scanner. Then the fracture surface profile was imported in the discrete fracture network model to simulate the flow process in the fracture-matrix system realistically. History matching was efficiently performed to simultaneously obtain porosity and permeability for the matrix and fracture. Gas properties after applying nanopore confinement were obtained by modifying Sutton's viscosity correlation with sensitivity analysis on the pore diameter ranging from 2 to50 nm. Nanopore confinement results in low matched permeability due to viscosity reduction in the matrix-only porous media. The fracture-matrix system complicates the interpretation of nanopore confinement impact on flow behavior in shale reservoirs. Different scenarios of the highly fractured and matrix-dominated systems were discussed in detail by constructing the digital twin model.
