Land surface temperature(LST)is an important parameter in land surface processes.Improving the accuracy of LST retrieval over the entire Tibetan Plateau(TP)using satellite images with high spatial resolution is an important and essential issue for studies of climate change on the TP.In this study,a random forest regression(RFR)model based on different land cover types and an improved generalized single-channel(SC)algorithm based on linear regression(LR)were proposed.Plateau-scale LST products with a 30 m spatial resolution from 2006 to 2017 were derived by 109,978 Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus images and the application of the Google Earth Engine.Validation between LST results obtained from different algorithms and in situ measurements from Tibetan observation and research platform showed that the root mean square errors of the LST results retrieved by the RFR and LR models were 1.890 and 2.767 K,respectively,which were smaller than that of the MODIS product(3.625 K)and the original SC method(5.836 K).

Transition-metal phosphides have been of concern as efficient electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)due to its high conductivity and earth-abundance reserves.However,oxide overlayers formed on their surface by spontaneously atmospheric oxidation are usually neglected,thus confusing the establishment of structure–performance relationship.Herein,we successfully etched the oxide overlayers of NiFe phosphide(NiFeP)by a dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma technique,aiming to reveal the influence of the oxide overlayers on its electrocatalytic performance for OER.It is found that etching the oxide overlayers can accelerate the surface reconstruction process of NiFeP and facilitate the formation of metal hydroxides,which are key intermediate phases for OER.Consequently,the etched NiFeP-DBD material shows remarkably enhanced OER activity with an overpotential of 265 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2).The finding of this work probably brings a significant impact to understand the structure–performance relationship of metal phosphide in electrooxidation reaction.

In addition to the deregulation of gene transcriptions and post-translational protein modifications,the aberrant translation from,mRNAs to proteins plays an important role in the pathogenesis of various cancers.Targeting mRNA translation are expected to become potential approaches for anticancer treatments.Protein translation is affected by many factors including translation initiation factors and RNA-binding proteins.Recently,modifications of mRNAs mainly N6-methyladenine(m6A)modification and noncoding RNAs,such as microRNAs and long noncoding RNAs are involved.In this review,we generally summarized the recent advances on the regulation of protein translation by the interplay between mRNA modifications and ncRNAs.By doing so,we hope this review could offer some hints for the development of novel approaches in precision therapy of human cancers.

Reverse-selective membranes have attracted considerable interest for bioethanol production.However,to date,the reverse-separation performance of ethanol/water is poor and the separation mechanism is unclear.Graphene-based membranes with tunable apertures and functional groups have shown substantial potential for use in molecular separation.Using molecular dynamics simulations,for the first time,we reveal twoway selectivity in ethanol/water separation through functional graphene membranes.Pristine graphene(PG)exhibits reverse-selective behavior with higher ethanol fluxes than water,resulting from the preferential adsorption for ethanol.Color flow mappings show that this ethanol-permselective process is initiated by the presence of ethanol-enriched and water-barren pores;this has not been reported in previous studies.In contrast,water molecules are preferred for hydroxylated graphene membranes because of the synergistic effects of molecular sieving and functional-group attraction.A simulation of the operando condition shows that the PG membrane with an aperture size of 3.8Åachieves good separation performance,with an ethanol/water separation factor of 34 and a flux value of 69.3 kg∙m‒2∙h‒1∙bar‒1.This study provides new insights into the reverse-selective mechanism of porous graphene membranes and a new avenue for efficient biofuel production.

In this paper,we mainly study the hyponormality of dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the harmonic Bergman space.First we show that the dual Toeplitz operator with the bounded symbol is hyponormal if and only if it is normal.Then we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the dual Toeplitz operator S_(φ) with the symbol φ(z)=az^(n1zm1)+bz^(n2zm2)(n1,n2,m1,m2∈N and a,b∈C)to be hyponormal.Finally,we show that the rank of the commutator of two dual Toeplitz operators must be an even number if the commutator has a finite rank.

Aliphatic polyamides have been considered as eco-friendly materials,useful for a wide range of applications.However,it still presents obstacle to produce sustainable aliphatic polyamides from abundant renewable sources.Herein,we describe that 4-hydroxyproline(4-HYP),a renewable resource,was readily converted to its corresponding bicyclic bridged lactam monomers bearing pendant Boc-protected secondary amino group,and oligo-ethylene glycol group.Lithium hexamethyldisilazide(LiHMDS)-mediated polymerization of the resulting monomers exhibited a controlled feature,affording sustainable aliphatic polyamides with number-average molecular weight up to 73 kg/mol and a low molecular weight distribution?<1.28.Overall,this work can lead to a novel kind of functional and sustainable polyamides with potential applications,including degradable plastics,and drug delivery.

Anterior temporal lobectomy improved mood status and quality of life in Chinese patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy:a single-arm cohort study

Background: Many studies have emphasized that selective resection of epileptic lesions in temoral lobe is associated with better preservation of cognition function;whether this applies to patients with refractory mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) remains unknown. The objective of this study was to evaluate changes in cognitive functions, mood status, and quality of life after anterior temporal lobectomy in patients with refractory MTLE. Methods: This single-arm cohort study assessed cognitive function, mood status, and quality of life, as well as electroencephalography findings, in patients with refractory MTLE who underwent anterior temporal lobectomy at Xuanwu Hospital from January 2018 to March 2019. Pre- and post-operative characteristics were compared to evaluate the effects of surgery. Results: Anterior temporal lobectomy significantly reduced the frequencies of epileptiform discharges. The overall success rate of surgery was acceptable. Anterior temporal lobectomy did not result in significant changes in overall cognitive functions (P > 0.05), although changes in certain domains, including visuospatial ability, executive ability, and abstract thinking, were detected. Anterior temporal lobectomy resulted in improvements in anxiety and depression symptoms and quality of life. Conclusions: Anterior temporal lobectomy reduced epileptiform discharges and incidence of post-operative seizures as well as resulted in improved mood status and quality of life without causing significant changes in cognitive function.

The salt-inclusion materials have drawn significant attention for their manifold structural chemistry and novel physical/chemical properties.Herein,two new salt-inclusion chalcohalides,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)](Q=S,Se),have been discovered via hightemperature flux methods.The two isostructural compounds are constructed by porous[Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)]^(5−)layers with[ClCs_(6)]^(5+)octahedra filled in the holes.The[Ga_(5)GeQ_(12)]^(5−)layer is composed of the honeycomb-like(Ga/Ge)_(18)Q_(42)rings containing(Ga/Ge)_(3)Q_(9)trimer as basic unit.The band gaps of the two compounds are 3.90 and 2.89 eV,respectively.[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeS_(12)]exhibits interesting two-band emission properties which are related to the intermediate-band electronic structure revealed by density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Owing to the porous layered structure,[Cs_(6)Cl][Ga_(5)GeS_(12)]exhibits topological ion exchange ability towards Cd^(2+)ions with the maximum sorption capacity of 250 mg/g and high distribution coefficient(Kd)near 106 mL/g.This work further enriches the structural diversity of salt-inclusion materials and extends their potential application range to ion exchange adsorption.
