Comparison of LR,5-CV SVM,GA SVM,and PSO SVM for landslide susceptibility assessment in Tibetan Plateau area,China

The applicability of statistics-based landslide susceptibility assessment methods is affected by the number of historical landslides.Previous studies have proposed support vector machine(SVM)as a small-sample learning method.However,those studies demonstrated that different parameters can affect model performance.We optimized the SVM and obtained models as 5-fold cross validation(5-CV)SVM,genetic algorithm(GA)SVM,and particle swarm optimization(PSO)SVM.This study compared the prediction performances of logistic regression(LR),5-CV SVM,GA SVM,and PSO SVM on landslide susceptibility mapping,to explore the spatial distribution of landslide susceptibility in the study area in Tibetan Plateau,China.A geospatial database was established based on 392 historical landslides and 392 non-landslides in the study area.We used 11 influencing factors of altitude,slope,aspect,curvature,lithology,normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),distance to road,distance to river,distance to fault,peak ground acceleration(PGA),and rainfall to construct an influencing factor evaluation system.To evaluate the models,four susceptibility maps were compared via receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve and the results showed that prediction rates for the models are 84%(LR),87%(5-CV SVM),85%(GA SVM),and 90%(PSO SVM).We also used precision,recall,F1-score and accuracy to assess the quality performance of these models.The results showed that the PSO SVM had greater potential for future implementation in the Tibetan Plateau area because of its superior performance in the landslide susceptibility assessment.

The hybrid of carbon nanotube(CNT)and reduced graphene oxide(RGO)reinforced ZK61 composite was fabricated by a hot extrusion process.Compared with the raw ZK61 alloy and single-reinforced composites,the hybrid-reinforced by RGO+CNT complex exhibited significant enhancements both in mechanical and thermal performance.By adjusting the proportion of RGO and CNT in ZK61 alloy,the obtained optimum ZK61/(0.06 wt%RGO+0.54 wt%CNT)composite exhibited increase of 25.4%in yield strength,26.5%in ultimate tensile strength,104%in failure strain and 30.4%in thermal conductivity,respectively,in comparison with ZK61 alloy.The superior properties of the nano-hybrid composite are attributed to the synergetic effects of RGO and CNT,leading to a uniform dispersion and integrated structure as well as the enhanced interfacial bonding with matrix.The strengthening ability of RGO and CNT was calculated to quantify their individual contribution to the improvement in mechanical and thermal properties of the ZK61 matrix composite.The RGO+CNT hybrids provide a promising way to develop Mg matrix composites with impressive performances.

In this paper, we have studied the atomic population difference and the atomic tunneling current of twocomponent Bose-Einstein condensates with a coupling drive. It is found that when the two-component Bose-Einstein condensates are initially in the coherent states, the atomic population difference may exhibit the step structure, in which the numbers of the step increase with the decrease of the Rabi frequency and with the increment of the initial phase difference. The atomic population difference may exhibit collapses, and revivals, in which their periods are affected dramatically by the Rabi frequency and the initial phase difference. The atomic tunneling current may exhibit damping oscillation behaviors, and exist the step structure for the time range of 10-10 ～ 10-9 second.

Soil Aggregates and Fractal Features under Different Land Use Types in a Frequent Debris Flow Area

The stability of soil aggregates and the fractal characteristics of four typical land use types(farmland,grassland,woodland,and bare land) in the jiangjiagou Ravine(Yunnan,China),a frequent debris flow occurring area,were studied according to the normal mean mass diameter and fractal theory.The present research showed that the stability of the soil aggregates was different for the different land use types.When the soil depth was 0-30 cm,farmland soil formed more aggregates with diameters greater than 0.25 mm,i.e.,the farmland soil was more stable than that of the other three land uses.When the soil depth was 30-45 cm,the order of stability of the soil aggregates was woodland > grassland > farmland > bare land.The fractal dimensions had a significant linear positive correlation with the amount of soil particles with diameters of <0.25 mm,and a significant negative linear correlation with the amount of soil particles with diameters of 0.25-0.5 mm,0.5-1 mm and 1-2 mm.Smaller fractal dimensions of the soil particles correlated with more stable soil aggregates.The fractal dimensions had a positive linear correlation with the soil bulk density and a negative correlation with the concentration of organic matter.These results showed that soil aggregates can be used as a parameter for characterizing the soil structures and properties.According to these results,the soil particle fractal dimensions could not only objectively characterize the stability of the soil structure but also could be used to indicate soil structure and properties.In addition,these results have great significance for the discussion of the comprehensive evaluation of soil.

BACKGROUND Schwannomas are uncommon tumors originating from Schwann cells,forming the neural sheath.They account for approximately 2%-6%of all mesenchymal tumors and are most commonly identified in peripheral nerve trunks,with rarity in the gastrointestinal tract.Among gastrointestinal locations,the stomach harbors the majority of nerve sheath tumors,while such occurrences in the sigmoid colon are exceptionally infrequent.CASE SUMMARY This study presented a clinical case involving a 60-year-old female patient who,during colonoscopy,was diagnosed with a submucosal lesion that was later identified as a nerve sheath tumor.The patient underwent surgical resection,and the diagnosis was confirmed through immunohistochemistry.This study highlighted an exceptionally uncommon occurrence of a nerve sheath tumor in the sigmoid colon,which was effectively managed within our department.Additionally,a comprehensive review of relevant studies was conducted.CONCLUSION The preoperative diagnosis of nerve sheath tumors poses challenges,as the definitive diagnosis still relies on pathology and immunohistochemistry.Although categorized as benign,these tumors have the potential to demonstrate malignant behavior.Consequently,the optimal treatment approach entails the complete surgical excision of the tumor,ensuring the absence of residual lesions at the margins.

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),a major contributor to cancer-related deaths,is particularly prevalent in Asia,largely due to hepatitis B virus infection.Its prognosis is generally poor.This case report contributes to the medical literature by detailing a unique approach in treating a large HCC through multidisciplinary collaboration,particularly in patients with massive HCC complicated by ruptured bleeding,a scenario not extensively documented previously.CASE SUMMARY The patient presented with large HCC complicated by intratumoral bleeding.Treatment involved a multidisciplinary approach,providing individualized care.The strategy included drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization,sorafenib-targeted therapy,laparoscopic partial hepatectomy,and standardized sintilimab monoclonal antibody therapy.Six months after treatment,the patient achieved complete radiological remission,with significant symptom relief.Imaging studies showed no lesions or recurrence,and clinical assessments confirmed complete remission.This report is notable as possibly the first docu-mented case of successfully treating such complex HCC conditions through integrated multidisciplinary efforts,offering new insights and a reference for future similar cases.CONCLUSION This study demonstrated effective multidisciplinary treatment for massive HCC with intratumoral bleeding,providing insights for future similar cases.

Background:Acute suppurative terminal cholangitis(ASTC)is rarer than acute obstructive cholangitis and is not well studied.To explore this subtype of acute cholangitis,we described our clinical experience with ASTC.Methods:We performed a retrospective review of patients with ASTC admitted to our center from September 2014 to August 2020.We analyzed their clinical characteristics,including etiology,clinical manifestations,imaging features,treatment and prognosis.Results:A total of 32 ASTC patients were included in the analysis.The majority of the patients had a history of biliary operations,and clinical manifestations were occult and atypical.The positive rate of bacterial culture was 46.9%.All the patients had typical imaging features on computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.Treatment with effective antibiotics was provided as soon as diagnosis was established.After treatment,most patients had a good outcome.Elevated levels of total bilirubin,aspartate aminotransferase,procalcitonin and gamma-glutamyltransferase were the characteristics of critically ill patients and were associated with relatively poor prognosis.Conclusions:Our results demonstrated that ASTC should be recognized as a new subtype of acute cholangitis,and that earlier diagnosis and more personalized treatments are needed.
