The combination of horseradish peroxidase(HRP)and a fluorescence substrate has been attracting great interests in developing sensitive biochemical analysis and immunoassays.10-Acetyl-3,7-dihydroxyphenoxazine(ADHP or Amplex red)is the most sensitive fluorogenic substrate known for HRP in current market,however,it suffers from some drawbacks,such as non-specific reactivity to carboxylesterase and limited fluorescence *** the present study,a novel HRP substrate10-cyclopropylcarbonyl-dichloro-dihydroxyphenoxazine(AR-2),has been prepared,which exhibited improved sensitivity than ADHP in sensing ***,the fluorescence of AR-2/HRP demonstrated improved tolerance to physiological relevant p H fluctuation as compared to ADHP/*** detection of uric acid/urate oxidase reaction indicated excellent application prospect of AR-2/HRP for monitoring H_(2)O_(2)-generating biochemical *** interestingly,an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(EliSA)using AR-2 as the fluorescence reporter has been successfully used in detecting IgG against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)from human serum ***,AR-2 exhibits improved performances over the commercial ADHP,which will be an ideal alternative to ADHP in HRP-based fluorescence biochemical analysis and immunoassays.

Vibration Control of A Flexible Marine Riser System Subject to Input Dead Zone and Extraneous Disturbances

An observer-based adaptive backstepping boundary control is proposed for vibration control of flexible offshore riser systems with unknown nonlinear input dead zone and uncertain environmental *** control algorithm can update the control law online through real-time data to make the controller adapt to the environment and improve the control ***,based on the adaptive backstepping framework,virtual control laws and Lyapunov functions are designed for each *** direction interference observers are designed to track the timevarying boundary *** this basis,the inverse of the dead zone and linear state transformation are used to compensate for the original system and eliminate the adverse effects of the dead *** addition,the stability of the closed-loop system is proven by Lyapunov stability *** the system states are bounded,and the vibration offset of the riser converges to a small area of the initial ***,four examples of flexible marine risers are simulated in MATLAB to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

Seedless Synthesis of Gold Nanorods with 5–10 nm in Diameters:a Comprehensive Study

Small gold nanorods(AuNRs),namely AuNRs with less than 10 nm in diameter,possess a high absorption-to-scattering ratio,a large surface area-to-volume ratio,as well as high cellular uptake *** this study,we systematically investigate seedless synthesis of AuNRs with diameters ranging from 5 nm to 10 *** has been found that several experimental conditions,including the chain length of the used cationic surfactants,and the concentrations of ascorbic acid,NaBH4,and AgNO_(3)can profoundly affect the obtained *** optimal conditions,the production yields of the obtained several AuNRs with different diameters can exceed 90%and even reach almost 100%.The conversion of gold precursors to AuNRs was estimated to be 70%–77%as measured by absorption spectroscopy and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

The inherent catalytic anisotropy of two-dimensional(2D) materials has limited the enhancement of liO_(2) batteries(LOBs) performance due to the significantly different adsorption energies on 2D and edge *** the adsorption strength in 2D materials to the reaction intermediates is essential for achieving high-performance ***,a MnS/MoS_(2) heterostructure is designed as a cathode catalyst by adjusting the adsorption behavior at the *** from the toroidal-like discharge products on the MoS_(2) cathode,the MnS/MoS_(2) surface displays an improved adsorption energy to reaction species,thereby promoting the growth of the film-like discharge *** can disturb the layer growth of MoS_(2),in which the stack edge plane features a strong interaction with the intermediates and limits the growth of the discharge *** and theoretical results confirm that the MnS/MoS_(2) heterostructure possesses improved electron transfer kinetics at the interface and plays an important role in the adsorption process for reaction species,which finally affects the morphology of li_2O_(2),In consequence,the MnS/MoS_(2) heterostructure exhibits a high specific capacity of 11696.0 mA h g^(-1) and good cycle stability over 1800 h with a fixed specific capacity of 600 mA h g^(-1) at current density of100 mA g^(-1) This work provides a novel interfacial engineering strategy to enhance the performance of LOBs by tuning the adsorption properties of 2D materials.

The penalized variable selection methods are often used to select the relevant covariates and estimate the unknown regression coefficients simultaneously,but these existing methods may fail to be consistent for the setting with highly correlated *** this paper,the semi-standard partial covariance(SPAC)method with Lasso penalty is proposed to study the generalized linear model with highly correlated covariates,and the consistencies of the estimation and variable selection are shown in high-dimensional settings under some regularity *** simulation studies and an analysis of colon tumor dataset are carried out to show that the proposed method performs better in addressing highly correlated problem than the traditional penalized variable selection methods.

Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)with high ionic conductivity are desirable for solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs)to achieve enhanced safety and energy *** nanofillers into a polymeric matrix to develop nanocomposite solid electrolytes(NCSEs)has become a promising method for improving the ionic conductivity of the ***,a novel ZIF-8-functionalized NCSE was prepared for high-temperature S SLMB s using an in situ radical polymerization *** is found that the ZIF-8 nanoparticles could reduce the crystallinity of polymer segments and offer a Lewis acid surface that promotes the dissociation of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(liTFSI)and stabilizes the TFSI^(-) anion ***,the as-prepared NCSE exhibits an outstanding ionic conductivity of 1.63×10^(-3)S·cm^(-1),an electrochem ical stability window of 5.0 V at 80℃,and excellent interface compatibility with lithium metal anode with a stable polarization over 2000 ***,the assembled SSLMBs with liFePO_(4)cathode show dendrite-free li-metal surface,good rate capability,and stable cycling stability with a capacity retention of 70%over 1000 cycles at a high temperature of 80℃.This work provides valuable insights into promoting the ionic conductivity of SPEs.

Multimorbidity and mortality among older patients with coronary heart disease in Shenzhen,China

BACKGROUND The current understanding of the magnitude and consequences of multimorbidity in Chinese older adults with coronary heart disease(CHD)is *** aimed to assess the association and population-attributable fractions(PAFs)between multimorbidity and mortality among hospitalized older patients who were diagnosed with CHD in Shenzhen,*** We conducted a retrospective cohort study of older Chinese patients(aged≥65 years)who were diagnosed with *** proportional hazards models were used to estimate the associations between multimorbidity and all-cause and cardiovascular disease(CVD)*** also calculated the *** The study comprised 76,455 older hospitalized patients who were diagnosed with CHD between January 1,2016,and August 31,*** them,70,217(91.9%)had multimorbidity,defined as the presence of at least one of the predefined 14 chronic *** with cancer,hemorrhagic stroke and chronic liver disease had the worst overall death risk,with adjusted HRs(95%CIs)of 4.05(3.77,4.38),2.22(1.94,2.53),and 1.85(1.63,2.11),*** CVD mortality,the highest risk was observed for hemorrhagic stroke,ischemic stroke,and chronic kidney disease;the corresponding adjusted HRs(95%CIs)were 3.24(2.77,3.79),1.91(1.79,2.04),and 1.81(1.64,1.99),***-cause mortality was mostly attributable to cancer,heart failure and ischemic stroke,with PAFs of 11.8,10.2,and 9.1,*** for CVD mortality,the leading PAFs were heart failure,ischemic stroke and diabetes;the corresponding PAFs were 18.0,15.7,and 6.1,*** Multimorbidity was common and had a significant impact on mortality among older patients with CHD in Shenzhen,***,heart failure,ischemic stroke and diabetes are the primary contributors to ***,prioritizing improved treatment and management of these comorbidities is essential for the survival prognosis of CHD patients from a holistic public health perspective.

Exfoliation corrosion(EFC)has rarely been reported for wrought magnesium *** EFC of the as-extruded Mg–1li–1Ca alloy was observed after the removal of outermost fine-grained *** microstructure and corrosion products were investigated using optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,electron backscattered diffraction,X-ray diffraction,and Fourier transform infrared *** corrosion behavior was analyzed using electrochemical polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,and scanning Kelvin probe *** results indicated that the surface of Mg–1li–1Ca,with the superficial layer removed,was more susceptible to EFC.A linear correlation between grain boundary density and corrosion resistance was ***,the influence of factors such as grain size,intermetallic compounds,different alloy surfaces,and corrosion products on EFC were discussed,and the corresponding EFC mechanism was clarified.

Machine Learning-based Identification of Contaminated Images in light Curve Data Preprocessing

Attitude is one of the crucial parameters for space objects and plays a vital role in collision prediction and debris *** light curves to determine attitude is the most commonly used *** photometric observations,outliers may exist in the obtained light curves due to various ***,preprocessing is required to remove these outliers to obtain high quality light *** statistical analysis,the reasons leading to outliers can be categorized into two main types:first,the brightness of the object significantly increases due to the passage of a star nearby,referred to as“stellar contamination,”and second,the brightness markedly decreases due to cloudy cover,referred to as“cloudy contamination.”The traditional approach of manually inspecting images for contamination is time-consuming and ***,we propose the utilization of machine learning methods as a *** Neural Networks and SVMs are employed to identify cases of stellar contamination and cloudy contamination,achieving F1 scores of 1.00 and 0.98 on a test set,*** also explore other machine learning methods such as ResNet-18 and light Gradient Boosting Machine,then conduct comparative analyses of the results.
