Compressive property and energy absorption characteristic of interconnected porous Mg-Zn-Y alloys with adjusting Y addition

In this study,interconnected porous Mg-2Zn-xY alloys with different phase compositions were prepared by various Y additions(x=0.4,3,and 6 wt.%)to adjust the compressive properties and energy absorption *** characterization methods were then applied to identify the microstructure of the porous Mg-Zn-Y and describe the details of the second *** tests were performed at room temperature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to study the impact of the Y addition and testing temperature on the compressive properties of the porous *** experimental results showed that a high Y content promotes a microstructure refinement and increases the volume fraction of the second *** the Y content increases,different Mg-Zn-Y ternary phases appear:I-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(6)Y),W-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPSO phase(Mg_(12)ZnY).When the Y content ranges between 0.4%and 6%,the compressive strength increases from 6.30MPa to 9.23 MPa,and the energy absorption capacity increases from 7.33 Mj/m^(3)to 10.97 Mj/m^(3)at RT,which is mainly attributed to the phase composition and volume fraction of the second ***,the average energy absorption efficiency is independent of the Y *** addition,the compressive deformation behaviors of the porous Mg-Zn-Y are altered by the testing *** compressive strength and energy absorption capacity of the porous Mg-Zn-Y decrease due to the softening effect of the high temperature on the *** deformation behaviors at different temperatures are finally observed to reflect the failure mechanisms of the struts.

The precipitate morphologies,coarsening kinetics,elemental partitioning behaviors,grain structures,and tensile properties were explored in detail for L1_(2)-strengthened Ni_(39.9)Co_(20)Fe_(15)Cr_(15)Al_(6)Ti_(4-x)Nb_(x)B_(0.1)(x=0 at.%,2 at.%,and 4 at.%)high-entropy alloys(HEAs).By substituting Ti with Nb,the spheroidal-to-cuboidal precipitate morphological transition,increase in the coarsening kinetics,and phase decomposition upon aging at 800°C *** excessive addition of Nb brings about the grain boundary precipitation of an Nb-rich phase along with the phase decomposition from the L1_(2)to lamellar-structured D019 phase upon the long-term aging *** partially substituting Ti with Nb,the chemically complex and thermally stable L12 phase with a composition of(Ni_(58.8)Co_(9.8)Fe_(2.7))(Al_(12.7)Ti_(5.8)Nb_(7.5)Cr_(2.3))ensures the stable phase structure and clean grain boundaries,which guarantees the superb high-temperature mechanical properties(791±7 MPa for yielding and 1013±11 MPa for failure)at 700℃.Stacking faults(SFs)were observed to prevail during the plastic deformation,offering a high work-hardening capability at 700°*** anomalous rise in the yield strength at 800℃was found,which could be ascribed to the multi-layered super-partial dislocations with a cross-slip configuration within the L1_(2)particles.

L12-strengthened high entropy alloys(HEAs)with excellent room and high-temperature mechanical prop-erties have been proposed as promising candidates as structural materials for advanced nuclear ***,knowledge about their radiation response is fairly *** the present work,a novel HEA with a high density of L12 nanoparticles was irradiated with He ion at 500°*** electron microscope(TEM)and atom probe tomography(APT)were employed to study the evolution of mi-crostructural stability and radiation-induced *** to the single-phase FeCoNiCr HEA,the main microstructural features were numerous large faulted dislocation loops and helium *** the irradiation resistance of the present L12-strengthened HEA is much improved in terms of reduced bubble size,which could be attributed to the considerable He trapping efficiency of the coherent pre-cipitate/matrix interface and the enhanced capability of the interface for damage elimination when the matrix channel width is *** analysis revealed that an inverse-Kirkendall-mechanism-dominated radiation-induced segregation(RIS)occurs around bubbles,where a significant Co enrichment and Ni de-pletion can be clearly *** addition,the competing dynamics of ballistic mixing and elemental clustering that raised from the irradiation-enhanced diffusion in a highly supersaturated matrix,along with the low precipitation nucleation barrier due to the small lattice misfit,lead to a dynamical pre-cipitation dissolution and re-precipitation appears under *** a promising phenomenon is expected to promote a potential self-healing effect and could in turn provide a sustainable irradiation tolerance over the operational lifetime of a reactor.

A new approach for power and temperature control in pressurized water reactor（PWR） nuclear power plant using nonlinear model predictive control（MPC） based on T-S fuzzy model is presented. MPC is possibly the only advanced control scheme able to deal with constraints, namely, it can regulate and control system variables within the pre-defined ranges. Nevertheless, it is limited for its theoretical derivation based on linear models. T-S fuzzy modeling method is used for approximating the nonlinear system by local linear models, based on which the nonlinear MPC controller is devised via parallel distributed compensation（PDC） scheme in order to solve the nonlinearity and the constraint problems. The proposed controller presents much better performance than the conventional PID controller in the simulation.

Supervisory predictive control based on GPC theory is an effective control algorithm for complex industrial process which can be realized by adding a supervisory optimal level without modifying the regulatory level. In this paper supervisory predictive control is studied and applied in drum-type boiler-turbine system which is characterized by nonlinearity. Therefore, T-S fuzzy model is used to approximate the dynamics of nonlinear processes. Reasonable solution to the optimization and constraints using Quadratic Programming is presented. Electric power, steam-water fluid density in the drum and drum water level control in drum-type boiler-turbine system is displayed to illustrate the advantages of the proposed method.

This study integrates new and extant zircon U-Pb age and Hf isotope data,whole-rock Nd-Sr isotope data,and geochemistry data from the Chinese Altay (CA) and adjacent areas,in an attempt to identify the source rocks of granitoids and acidic-intermediate volcanic rocks and,hence,continental-crust growth in the *** protolith of the gneisses includes the earliest products of erosion from the surface rocks of the island arc volcanics and the syn- and post-collisional granitoids of the Caledonian orogenic-mountain system,whereas the provenance of metasedimentary rocks was exposed from increasingly deeper levels or from an expanded region that evolved from the axis to the flank of the mountain system as it was denuded until planation such that eroded material from the Tuva-Mongol microcontinental block to the east could be delivered to the *** CA tends to be more mafic and isotopically more primitive with depth,because material eroded early constitutes the lower section and material eroded late constitutes the upper section of the Early-Paleozoic sedimentary -pile. Source rocks for the granitoids and acidic-intermediate volcanic rocks of the CA include the eroded material from the microcontinental block,the eroded material from the syn- and post-collisional granitoids of the Caledonian province,MORB-type mafic rocks,and a minor component from the metasomatized lithospheric-mantle. Eroded material from the terrains north of the CA was first deposited as an Early-Paleozoic sedimentary-pile in the *** top section of this pile was again eroded and transported to the trench at the CA continental margin,and these second-round sediments were subducted beneath the CA accretionary *** un-eroded lower section of the Early-Paleozoic sedimentary-pile lay at bottom of the CA accretionary wedge that was underplated by MORB-type mafic rocks. Under the guidance of the calculation of phase diagrams CALPHAD method,it was recently discovered the self-organized composite powders with core-shell(CS) and core-shell-corona(CSC) microstructures in many immiscible liquid alloys,which were previously obtained only in outer space,can be fabricated under gravity condition on earth using conventional gas atomization(see Fig.1)[1].

Correlation bet ween the elastic and the vibronic behavior of TiO_(2) and their responses to thevariation of crystal size,applied pressure,and measuring temperature has been investig ated basedon the bond order-length-strength correlation *** reproduction of themeasurements clarified that.(i)the elastic modulus(B)and the Raman shifts(△ω)are stronglycorrelated and we can know either one of the B or the △ω from the other;(i)the under-coordination induced cohesive energy loss and the energy density gain in the surface up to skindepth determines the size effect;(ii)bond expansion and bond weakening due to thermalvibration originat es the thermally softened elastic modulus and the Raman shifts;and(iv)bondcompression and bond strengthening results in the mechanically stiffened elastic modulus and theRaman *** the developed premise,one can predict the changing trends of the concernedproperties with derivatives of quantitative information of the atomic cohesive energy,bindingenergy density,Debye tempera ture,and nonlinear compressibility of the specimen.

Background The Gravitational wave highly energetic Electromagnetic Counterpart All-sky Monitor(GECAM)is dedicated to detecting gravitational wave gamma-ray *** is capable of all-sky monitoring over and discovering gamma-ray bursts and new radiation *** consists of two microsatellites,each equipped with 8 charged particle detectors(CPDs)and 25 gamma-ray detectors(GRDs).Purpose The CPD is used to measure charged particles in the space environment,monitor energy and flow intensity changes,and identify between gamma-ray bursts and space charged particle events in conjunction with *** CPD uses plastic scintillator as the sensitive material for detection,silicon photomultiplier array as the optically readable device,and the inlaid Am-241 radioactive source as the onboard calibration *** In this paper,we will present the working principle,physical design,functional implementation and preliminary performance test results of the *** a result,the energy range of electron,gamma-ray detection efficiency and dead time are tested to be better than the indexes required through the ground calibration experiment.
