Ni_(47)ti_(44)Nb_(9)shape memory alloy(SMA)is a promising material in the aerospace field due to its wide transformation *** application of shape memory effect depends on multistep thermomechan-ical loading,viz.,low-temperature deformation and subsequent heating to ***-temperature deformation prestrain plays a pivotal role in shape memory properties tailoring of SMA ***,microstructure evolution and deformation mechanisms of Ni_(47)ti_(44)Nb_(9)SMA subjected to vari-ous prestrain levels are still *** this end,microstructure evolution and shape memory behaviors of Ni_(47)ti_(44)Nb_(9)alloy subjected to multistep thermomechanical loading with prestrain levels of 8%-16%at-28℃(M_(s)+30℃)were *** results demonstrate that the stress-strain curve of the specimen exhibits four distinct stages at a maximal prestrain of 16%.Whereas stageⅡand stageⅢend at prestrains of∼8%and∼12%,*** stageⅡ,the stress-induced martensitic transformation is accompanied by the dislocation slip of the Niti matrix andβ-Nb *** stageⅢ,in addition to the higher density of dislocations and further growth of stress-induced martensite variants(SIMVs),(001)compound twins are introduced as a result of the(001)deformation twinning in stress-induced ***{20-1}martensite twins are gradually introduced in stageⅣ.Correspondingly,after subsequent unloading and heating,a higher density of{114}austenite twins form in the specimen with a larger prestrain of 16%.With increasing prestrain from 8%to 16%,the recoverable strainε_(re)^(t)upon heating increases first and then ***ε_(re)^(t)obtains a maximum of 7.03%at 10%prestrain and de-creases to 6.17%at 16%*** increase ofε_(re)^(t)can be attributed to the formation of new SIMVs,the further growth of existing SIMVs,and the recoverable(001)compound *** the decrease ofε_(re)^(t)is mainly associated with the irrecoverable strain by{20−1}martensite *** effe

Waldenström macroglobulinemia(WM)is characterized by lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma associated with large amounts of monoclonal immunoglobulin M(IgM)protein(Owen et al.,2003).Common signs and symptoms include fatigue due to anemia,lymph node enlargement,hepatosplenomegaly,thrombocytopenia,symptoms related to high viscosity,and peripheral neuropathy,among *** significant advances in WM treatment,this type of indolent lymphoma remains incurable,with a wide array of patient outcomes(Ruan et al.,2020).In recent years,chimeric antigen receptor t(CAR-t)cell therapy targeting cluster of differentiation 19(CD19)has shown unprecedented response rates and durability in the treatment of B-cell *** this report,we describe a challenging case of WM that involved multiple extramedullary sites,relapsed,and was refractory to chemotherapy,immunotherapy,and targeted *** anti-CD19 CAR-t cell therapy,the tumor burden significantly decreased and the patient’s condition remained stable at the writing of this report.

In-situ electron irradiation and aging are applied to introduce high-density precipitates in an Mg-10Gd-3Y-1Zn-0.5Zr(GWZ1031K,wt.%)alloy to improve the *** results show that the hardness of the Mg alloy after irradiation for 10 h and aging for 9 h at 250℃ is 1.64 GPa,which is approximately 64% higher than that of the samples before being *** is mainly attributed to γ'precipitates on the basal plane after irradiation and the high-density nanoscale β'precipitates on the prismatic plane after aging,which should be closely related to the irradiation-induced homogenous *** latter plays a key role in precipitation *** result paves a way to improve the mechanical properties of metallic materials by tailoring the precipitation through irradiation and aging.

the lubrication performance of liquids is severely restricted and is degraded in high-temperature environments. Stable and reliable lubrication in high temperature environments has been a long-standing goal in various industrial fields. In this study,WS_(2)and ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)Mxene nanoflakes were used as oil-based lubricant additives to generate ultra-low friction and even superlubricity(friction coefficient of ~0.007) at elevated temperatures(400℃), which has hitherto not been achieved by both individual pristine materials, WS_(2)and ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)Mxene. Viscosity and thermogravimetric characterization revealed improvements in the high-temperature rheological properties and thermal stability of the lubricating base oil, indicating improved loadbearing and continuous lubrication capabilities at elevated temperatures. x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy demonstrated that the formation of an iron/titanium/tungsten-rich oxide lubricious thin film at the sliding interface reduced the interfacial shear stress, which was responsible for the observed friction and wear reductions at high contact pressures(> 1.1 GPa). Although the titanium/tungsten oxide film was gradually removed after prolonged sliding, a sufficiently thick iron oxide film maintained a low friction coefficient for at least 2 h. the improved surface quality facilitates the achievement of ultra-low friction and reduced wear. the proposed lubrication methodology has a broad utilization potential as a wear-reduction strategy across various industrial fields at elevated temperatures.

Soybean pests are one of the major factors limiting yield improvement. With the expansion of area and changes in cropping patterns, a number of new pests have been identified in the main soybean production areas of China. the common brown leafhopper, Orosius orientalis, is a new pest associated with soybean stay-green virus that has been discovered on cultivated soybean crop in the Yellow-Huai-hai region of China in recent years. the polyphagous insect has a wide feeding range and infests a variety of important grain and cash crops. this paper presents the basic information, geographical distribution, hosts, damage characteristics, plant virus transmission, occurrence patterns, and prevention and control measures O. orientalis. this review also provides insights into integrated prevention and control of the genus Orosius as an insect vector. © 2024 the Oil Crop Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences
