Hepatitis B virus(HBV)-associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is mediated by an inappropriate attack by HBV-specific t cells in ***,this immunopathogenic process has not been clarified because of the lack of a suitable animal ***,we used immunocompetent Fah^(-/-)mice as the recipients in the adoptive transfer of HBsAg^(+)hepatocytes from HBs-tg mice to replace the recipient hepatocytes(HBs-HepR).HBs-HepR mice exhitited persistent HBsAg expression with chronic hepatitis and eventually developed HCC with a prevalence of 100%.HBsAg-specific Cd8^(+)t cells were generated and specifically and continuously induced hepatocyte apoptosis with progressive chronic inflammation,and the depletion of Cd8^(+)t cells or their deficiency prevented HCC,which could then be reproduced by the transfer of HBsAg-specific Cd8^(+)t *** summary,our results demonstrated that Cd8^(+)t cells plays a critical role in HBsAg-driven inflammtion and HCC tumorigenesis.

A single boronic acid-based fluorescent probe （compound CSP） for saccharides was designed and synthesized. the probe, with an a,fl-unsaturated ketone conjugated into the coumarin fluorophore, was synthesized by 4 steps from the commercial material 4-diethylamino salicylaldehyde. the electron push-pull effect is enhanced with the N,N-diethyl amino as the electron donor and the carbonyl as the electron acceptor. Both the absorption （463 nm） and emission （616 nm） maxima of CSP are in the visible wavelength region with a Stokes shift of about 150 nm, which ensures CSP a potential probe for biological application. Under near physiological conditions, significant fluores- cence enhancement of CSP was observed upon the addition of some saccharides, namely, d-sorbitol, d-fructose, d-glucose, d-mannose and d-galactose. the probe showed relatively high sensitivity towards d-fructose and d-sorbitol, and their detection limits were 0.05 mmol/L and 0.1 mmol/L, respectively.

the duolong mineral district in western tibet is one of the largest porphyry Cu–Au deposit fields with significant metallogenic potential in *** tectonic environment relevant to Early Cretaceous Cu–Au mineralization remains *** we report new whole-rock major and trace element,and Sr-Nd-Hf-Pb isotopic data for the newly discovered basalt in the Nadun area,duolong mineral district,to decipher their genesis and further constrain the tectonic environment.A contemporaneous rhyolite sample interbedded with the basalt in the lower part of the volcanic section in the Nadun area yields an LA-ICP-MS zircon U–Pb age of 122.5±1.2 *** basalt samples exhibit high-K calc-alkaline/shoshonite properties and are enriched in high field strength elements,e.g.,high ti O_(2)(1.43–1.79 wt.%)and Nb(14.6–19.5 ppm)contents,with high Nb/La ratios(0.4–0.6),which are compositionally comparable to those of Nb-enriched arc basalts(NEABs).the(^(87) Sr/^(86) Sr)iratios of 0.7052 to 0.7056,negative eNd(t)(-0.7 to-0.2)and eHf(t)values(+6.0 to+6.5),and high(^(206) Pb/^(204)Pb)i,(^(207) Pb/^(204)Pb)i,(^(208) Pb/^(204)Pb)iand ratios(18.522 to 18.561,15.641 to 15.645 and 38.679 to 38.730,respectively)suggest that the Nadun NEABs are more enriched than those of the island arc basalts(IABs)in the *** slightly enriched radiogenic isotopes for the Nadun NEABs indicate that the subducting sediments play an important role in the ***,their high Nb,ti,and Cu contents indicate that the source mantle wedge was metasomatized by slab *** Nadun NEAB and other coeval magmatic rocks in the duolong mineral district,including adakite,OIB-like basalt,MORB-type basalt,A-type rhyolite,and common IAB,are typical rock assemblages of ridge *** infer that the duolong mineral district were formed by ridge subduction in the Early Cretaceous.

A series of Ca10Na(PO4)7:Ce3+/tb3+/Mn2+(CNPO:Ce3+/tb3+/Mn2+) phosphors with high brightness were synthesized by high-temperature solid-state method. x-ray diffraction(xRd), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), diffuse reflectance spectra(dRS), photo luminescence(PL) spectra, luminescence decay curves and thermally stability were performed to characterize the as-prepared samples. For Ce3+-doped samples, an intense and broad band emission is present under 265 nm excitation. When Ce3+and tb3+are codoped, energy transfer(Et) process from Ce3+ to tb3+ is demonstrated with electric dipole-dipole interaction. the internal and external quantum efficiencies(QEs) of CNPO:0.15 Ce3+, 0.04 tb3+, 0.005 Mn2+are measured to 76.79% and 54.11% under 265 nm excitation and temperature-dependent PL intensity can remain 51.78% at 150 ℃ of its initial intensity at 25 ℃. It is indicated that single-phased white lightemitting CNPO:Ce3+/tb3+/Mn2+phosphor can serve as a promising phosphor for illumination devices.

dear Editor,Outer-membrane protein G(OmpG)is a nonspecificβ-barrel porin in the outer membrane of Escherichia coli(***),allowing the passage of ions and molecules up to 900 da(Fajardo et al.,1998).It comprises of 280 amino acids that form 14-strandedβ-sheets with seven long loops(L1-L7)on the extra-cellular side and six short turns on the periplasmic side(Subbarao and van den Berg,2006;Yildiz et al.,2006;Liang and tamm,2007).despite that the OmpG gene exists in the genome of several *** strains(Nikaido,1999),expres-sion of OmpG was only observed in *** mutants lacking OmpF and LamB(Fajardo et al.,1998)to enable the diffu-sion of maltodextrins across the bacte-rial outer *** interestingly,unlike usual trimeric channel-forming porins,OmpG exhibits fascinating characteristics of a functional monomer in physiological and structural studies(Conlan and Bayley,2003;Mari et al.,2010).

Pomegranates is abundant in polyphenols and is well-known for its antioxidant activity. Punicalagin （PG） is a major poly- phenolic compound in the pomegranate peel. In certain conditions, PG can be hydrolyzed to punicallin （PL） and ellagic acid （EA）, and PL can be further hydrolyzed to EA. PG, PL, and EA all play important roles in the antioxidant activity of pomegranate peels. this study was conducted to compare the in vitro antioxidant activity and in vivo anti-oxidative stress effects of PG, PL, and EA. For the in vitro test, 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl radical （dPPH.） and superoxide anion （O2~） scavenging capacities, ferric-reducing antioxidant power （FRAP）, and lipid peroxidation （LPO） inhibition capacities of PG, PL, and EA were tested. For the in vivo test, oxidatively stressed mice, which were induced by oxidized fish oil, were administrated PG, PL or EA （10 mg kg-1 d-1） for 21 days. the results showed that the in vitro antioxidant activity trends were EA〉PG〉PL〉trolox in scavenging dPPH., PG〉PL〉EA=trolox in scavenging O2~, EA〉PG=PL〉trolox in FRAP, and trolox〉PG〉EA〉PL in LPO inhibition. In the in vivo test, the EAt＇reatment increased the average daily weight gain and total antioxidant capacity （t-AOC） in the plasma （P〈0.05）, liver （P〈0.05）, and intestine （P〈0.05） in oxidatively stressed mice. It increased the superoxide dismutase （SOd） activity in the liver （P〈0.05） and intestine （P〈0.05）. It increased the glutathi- one peroxidase （GSH-Px） activity in the intestine （P〈0.05） and the intestinal villus height to crypt depth ratio （P〈0.05）. EA treatment decreased the malondialdehyde （MdA） content in the plasma （P〈0.05）, liver （P〈0.05）, and intestine （P〈0.05） and the mRNA expressions of the pro-inflammatory factors, tNF-a （P〈0.05）, IFN-y （P〈0.05） and IL-6 （P〈0.05）. PL increased the SOd （P〈0.05） and GSH-Px activities （P〈0.05） in the intestine and decreased the MdA content （P〈0.05） and the mRNA expressions of tNF-a （P〈0.05） and IL-6 （P〈0.05） in the intestine. Age hardening is often used to optimize the mechanical properties of as-deformed Mg-based materials in industry,whereas the improvement of strength is usually accompanied by the significant loss of ductility,which hinders the application of Mg-based materials in structural *** the present work,high strength-ductility synergy(the yield strength of 263±9 MPa,ultimate tensile strength of 398±7 MPa and elongation to fracture of 34%±1%)was realized in as-extruded AlN/AZ91 composites after optimiz-ing aging *** characterization shows that AlN particles induced a large number of geometrically necessary dislocations around the AlN/Mg interface during extrusion,which decreased the nucleation barrier and provided more heterogeneous nucleation sites forγ-Mg 17 Al 12 continuous ***,95%of residual dislocations in as-extruded AlN/AZ91 composites were annihilated dur-ing peak-aging,suppressing the growth and coarsening of continuous ***,high density of nano-sizedγ-Mg 17 Al 12 continuous precipitates was produced in as-extruded AlN/AZ91 composites af-ter *** tension,gliding dislocations bypassed sphericalγ-Mg 17 Al 12 nano-precipitates by Orowan looping rather than cutting mechanism,which induced a strong block on dislocation *** high yield strength was mainly attributed to the high density of non-shearableγ-Mg 17 Al 12 nano-precipitates with spherical morphology,which was different from other Mg-Al-based *** results of texture evolution and slip trace analysis demonstrated that the suppression of extension twinning and less basal slip was due to the enhanced activity of pyramidalc+aslip in as-extruded AlN/AZ91 com-posites after peak-aging during the room temperature tension,meanwhile,the dislocation density of as-extruded AlN/AZ91 composites was significantly decreased during peak-aging,then higher elongation to fracture was achieved.
