The dynamic spalling characteristics of rock are important for stability analysis in rock *** paper presented an experimental investigation on the dynamic spalling characteristics of granite with different temperatures and strain rates.A series of dynamic spalling tests with different impact velocities were conducted on thermally treated granite at different *** dynamic spalling strengths of granite with different temperatures and strain rates were determined.A model was proposed to correlate the dynamic spalling strength of granite,high temperature and strain *** results show that the spalling strength of granite decreases with increasing ***,the spalling strength of granite with a higher strain rate is larger than that with a lower strain *** proposed model can describe the relationship among dynamic spalling strength of granite,high temperature and strain rate.

Bispecific antibody‒drug conjugates(BsADCs)represent an innovative therapeutic category amalgamating the merits of antibody‒drug conjugates(ADCs)and bispecific antibodies(BsAbs).Positioned as the next-generation ADC approach,BsADCs hold promise for ameliorating extant clinical challenges associated with ADCs,particularly pertaining to issues such as poor internalization,off-target toxicity,and drug ***,ten BsADCs are undergoing clinical trials,and initial findings underscore the imperative for ongoing *** review initially delves into specific design considerations for BsADCs,encompassing target selection,antibody formats,and the linker–payload *** sections delineate the extant progress and challenges encountered by BsADCs,illustrated through pertinent case *** amalgamation of BsAbs with ADCs offers a prospective solution to prevailing clinical limitations of ***,the symbiotic interplay among BsAb,linker,and payload necessitates further optimizations and coordination beyond a simplistic“1+1”to effectively surmount the extant challenges facing the BsADC domain.

Different chemical compositions of soil organic carbon(SOC)affect its persistence and whether it signifi-cantly differs between natural forests and plantations remains *** synthesizing 234 observations of SOC chemical compositions,we evaluated global patterns of concentra-tion,individual chemical composition(alkyl C,O-alkyl C,aromatic C,and carbonyl C),and their distribution *** results indicate a notably higher SOC,a markedly larger proportion of recalcitrant alkyl C,and lower easily decomposed carbonyl C proportion in natural ***-ever,SOC chemical compositions were appreciably more evenly distributed in *** on the assumed con-ceptual index of SOC chemical composition evenness,we deduced that,compared to natural forests,plantations may have higher possible resistance to SOC decomposition under *** tropical regions,SOC levels,recalcitrant SOC chemical composition,and their distributed evenness were significantly higher in natural forests,indicating that SOC has higher chemical stability and possible resistance to *** factors had minor effects on alkyl C in forests globally,while they notably affected SOC chemi-cal composition in tropical *** could contribute to the differences in chemical compositions and their distrib-uted evenness between plantations and natural stands.

Polyelectrolytes are charged polymers comprising macromolecules in which substantial portions of the constituent units contain cationic(e.g.,pyridinium,ammonium)or anionic(e.g.,sulfonate,carboxylate)groups,which possess special functions from the features of counterions,such as dissociation to charged species,mechanical stability,phase behavior,***,functional polyelectrolytes have been widely applied in many *** this perspective,we present some progresses in the studies of poly(polyoxometalate)s,denoted as poly(POM)s,as a kind of new charged polymers/polyelectrolytes,by covalent bonding between the inorganic polyoxometalate(POM)clusters and the organic polymer *** to the distinct positions of POMs in polymer chain and functions of poly(POM)s,they are divided into the following four categories:crosslinked poly(POM);side-chain poly(POM);backbone poly(POM),including poly(POM)-conjugated polymer hybrid and block poly(POM)-polymer;and POM-based covalent organic framework(PCOF).This perspective introduces the synthesis methods of poly(POM)polyelectrolytes and their macromolecular and aggregate structural characteristics,while also focusing on their properties and *** application areas include catalysis,thermal resistance,optical functions,fuel cells and batteries,etc.

Sulfate-reducing microorganisms extensively contribute to the corrosion of ferrous metal *** is substantial debate over their corrosion *** investigated Fe^(0) corrosion with Desulfovibrio vulgaris,the sulfate reducer most often employed in corrosion *** were grown with both lactate and Fe^(0) as potential electron donors to replicate the common environmental condition in which organic substrates help fuel the growth of corrosive ***^(0) was corroded in cultures of a *** hydrogenase-deficient mutant with the 1:1 correspondence between Fe^(0) loss and H_(2) accumulation expected for Fe^(0) oxidation coupled to H+reduction to H_(2).This result and the extent of sulfate reduction indicated that *** was not capable of direct Fe^(0)-to-microbe electron transfer even though it was provided with a supplementary energy source in the presence of abundant ferrous *** in the hydrogenase-deficient mutant cultures was greater than in sterile controls,demonstrating that H_(2) removal was not necessary for the enhanced corrosion observed in the presence of *** parental H_(2)-consuming strain corroded more Fe^(0) than the mutant strain,which could be attributed to H_(2) oxidation coupled to sulfate reduction,producing sulfide that further stimulated Fe^(0) *** results suggest that H_(2) consumption is not necessary for microbially enhanced corrosion,but H_(2) oxidation can indirectly promote corrosion by increasing sulfide generation from sulfate *** finding that *** was incapable of direct electron uptake from Fe^(0) reaffirms that direct metal-to-microbe electron transfer has yet to be rigorously described in sulfate-reducing microbes.

Evolution mechanism and quantitative characterization of initial micro-cracks in marble under triaxial compression

The initial micro-cracks affect the evolution characteristics of macroscopic deformation and failure of rock but are often ignored in theoretical calculation,numerical simulation,and mechanical *** this study,we propose a quantitative analysis model to investigate the effects of initial micro-cracks on the evolution of marble deformation and *** relationship between the micro-crack propagation and the marble failure characteristics was comprehensively studied by combining theoretical analysis with a micro-computed tomography(micro-CT)scanning *** found that with the increase of confining pressure,the matrix elastic modulus of the marble first increased and then tended to be stable,while the micro-cracks increased *** sensitivity ranges of the marble sample matrix elastic modulus and micro-cracks to confining pressure were 0–30 MPa and 30–50 MPa,*** porosity and Poisson’s ratio decreased *** increasing proportion of internal micro-cracks led to an increase in the sample *** samples presented mainly shear failure under triaxial compression,and the failure angle decreased linearly with the increase of confining *** convergence direction of cracks decreased *** quantitative analysis model could accurately portray the relationship between the overall macroscopic deformation and the deviatoric stress of the samples at the compaction and the linear elastic stages,thus deepening the understanding of the stress–strain behavior of rocks.

For fragile products,packaging requires cushioning protection to prevent irreversible damage from accidental falls,transportation impacts,and other *** new polyurethane foam(PUF)material demonstrates superior cushioning and vibration isolation performance in practical applications,effectively minimizing damage from *** and vibration experiments were conducted on packages comprising novel PUF,expandable polyethylene,ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer foam,and *** verify that the new PUF material outperforms in cushioning and vibration isolation,as observed from the acceleration ***,a random vibration analysis of a packaging unit involving different thicknesses of PUF materials and bracelets reveals the enhanced vibration isolation effect within a specific thickness *** vibration results of the bracelet’s outer packaging align closely with finite element simulation results,validating the effectiveness of designing and optimizing the outer *** finite element simulation,deeper understanding and prediction of the bracelet’s vibration response under various conditions is achieved,facilitating optimized packaging design for better protection and vibration damping.

The attention mechanism can extract salient features in images,which has been proved to be effective in improving the performance of person re-identification(re-ID).However,most of the existing attention modules have the following two shortcomings:On the one hand,they mostly use global average pooling to generate context descriptors,without highlighting the guiding role of salient information on descriptor generation,resulting in insufficient ability of the final generated attention mask representation;On the other hand,the design of most attention modules is complicated,which greatly increases the computational cost of the *** solve these problems,this paper proposes an attention module called self-supervised recalibration(Sr)block,which introduces both global and local information through adaptive weighted fusion to generate a more refined attention *** particular,a special"Squeeze-Excitation"(SE)unit is designed in the Sr block to further process the generated intermediate masks,both for nonlinearizations of the features and for constraint of the resulting computation by controlling the number of ***,we combine the most commonly used res Net-50 to construct the instantiation model of the Sr block,and verify its effectiveness on multiple re-ID datasets,especially the mean Average Precision(m AP)on the Occluded-Duke dataset exceeds the state-of-the-art(SOTA)algorithm by 4.49%.
