The Effect of Procrastination on Phy.ical Ex.rcise among College Students—The Chain Effect of Ex.rcise Commitment and Action Control

Background: Ex.rcise procrastination is prevalent among college students, causing decline in phy.ical fitness. It is imperative to investigate the mechanism affecting college students’ phy.ical activity.behaviors. This study.was aimed at investigating the effect of procrastination on college students’ phy.ical ex.rcise behavior, and the chain mediation effects of ex.rcise commitment and action control (AC), to provide a theoretical basis for interventions targeting phy.ical ex.rcise behavior among college students. Methods: A questionnaire survey.was conducted using convenience sampling. The General Procrastination Scale, Ex.rcise Commitment Scale, Action Control Scale, and Phy.ical Activity.Rating Scale-3 questionnaires were used. Participants were 581 college students (age 19.27 ± 0.94 y.ars; 243 males and 338 females). Statistical methods of regression analy.is and structural equation modeling (SEM) were applied. Results: Procrastination, ex.rcise commitment, and action control were found to be significant predictors of phy.ical ex.rcise behavior. Among these predictors, ex.rcise commitment and action control showed full mediation effects in the relationship between procrastination and phy.ical ex.rcise behavior, and ex.lained 25.48% and 30.77% of the total variance, respectively. The chain mediation effect of ex.rcise commitment-action control was significant, accounting for 22.60% of the total variance, and the total indirect effect was 79.33%. Conclusion: Therefore, higher procrastination was associated with less participation in phy.ical ex.rcise behavior among college students. Improvements in ex.rcise commitment and volitional decision-making ability.for phy.ical ex.rcise behavior promoted phy.ical ex.rcise behavior, and increased ex.rcise commitment promoted volitional decision-making ability.among the students. The chain reaction effect of ex.rcise commitment and action control also buffered the negative effects of procrastination on phy.ical ex.rcise beh

Coal-fired power plants are a major carbon source in China. In order to assess the evaluation of China’s carbon reduction progress with the promise made on the Paris Agreement, it is crucial to monitor the carbon flux.intensity.from coal-fired power plants. Previous studies have calculated CO2 emissions from point sources based on Orbiting Carbon Observatory.2 and -3 (OCO-2 and OCO-3) satellite measurements, but the factors affecting CO2 flux.estimations are uncertain. In this study. we employ.a Gaussian Plume Model to estimate CO2 emissions from three power plants in China based on OCO-3 x.O2 measurements. Moreover, flux.uncertainties resulting from wind information, background values, satellite CO2 measurements, and atmospheric stability.are discussed. This study.highlights the CO2 flux.uncertainty.derived from the satellite measurements. Finally. satellite-based CO2 emission estimates are compared to bottom-up inventories. The satellite-based CO2 emission estimates at the Tuoketuo and Nongliushi power plants are ∼30 and ∼10 kt d−1 smaller than the Open-Data Inventory.for Anthropogenic Carbon diox.de (ODIAC) respectively. but ∼10 kt d−1 larger than the ODIAC at Baotou. © Institute of Atmospheric Phy.ics/Chinese Academy.of Sciences, and Science Press 2024.

Towards Improving the Quality.of Requirement and Testing Process in Agile Software Development: An Empirical Study

Software testing is a critical phase due to misconceptions about ambiguities in the requirements during specification, which affect the testing process. Therefore, it is difficult to identify.all faults in software. As requirement changes continuously. it increases the irrelevancy.and redundancy.during testing. Due to these challenges; fault detection capability.decreases and there arises a need to improve the testing process, which is based on changes in requirements specification. In this research, we have developed a model to resolve testing challenges through requirement prioritization and prediction in an agile-based environment. The research objective is to identify.the most relevant and meaningful requirements through semantic analy.is for correct change analy.is. Then compute the similarity.of requirements through case-based reasoning, which predicted the requirements for reuse and restricted to error-based requirements. Afterward, the apriori algorithm mapped out requirement frequency.to select relevant test cases based on frequently.reused or not reused test cases to increase the fault detection rate. Furthermore, the proposed model was evaluated by.conducting ex.eriments. The results showed that requirement redundancy.and irrelevancy.improved due to semantic analy.is, which correctly.predicted the requirements, increasing the fault detection rate and resulting in high user satisfaction. The predicted requirements are mapped into test cases, increasing the fault detection rate after changes to achieve higher user satisfaction. Therefore, the model improves the redundancy.and irrelevancy.of requirements by.more than 90% compared to other clustering methods and the analy.ical hierarchical process, achieving an 80% fault detection rate at an earlier stage. Hence, it provides guidelines for practitioners and researchers in the modern era. In the future, we will provide the working prototy.e of this model for proof of concept. In this paper, the influence of inorganic salt on aerobic biodegradability.of dy.stuffs was studied by.means of semi-continuous activated sludge method. It was found that: biodegradability.of dy.stuffs would decrease with the increase of the concentration of NaCl; however, biodegradability.in the condition of NaCl = 30 g/L was better than that in the condition of NaCl = 15 g/L; in the three NaCl conditions, biodegradability.of tested dy.stuffs followed the following order: NaCl = 0 g/L>NaCl = 30 g/L>NaCl = 15 g/L.

Human fallopian tubes (FTs) play.important roles in the whole reproductive process. FTs are the site for the final maturation of gametes, fertilization, transport of preimplantation embry.s, and early.embry.nic development before entering the uterus. All these functions are critical in the establishment of a successful pregnancy. When the embry. is in transit through the FT, the FT microenvironment changes through endocrine, paracrine, autocrine, and jux.acrine mechanisms which involve various hormones and bioactive substances mainly.from the neighboring cells. Therefore, the interactions between the embry. and the FT may.be the earliest embry.-maternal communications that are essential for the establishment of pregnancy. This review critically.discusses the evidence of various hormonal and bioactive mediated control of the microenvironment in the FTs during the earliest embry.-maternal communications. Moreover, we highlight ex.sting gaps in the knowledge and the importance of ex.loring more of the phy.iology.of FTs which will hold the key.to producing high-quality.embry.s for patients seekingin vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments.
