Although both protein arginine methylation(PRMT)and jasmonate(JA)signaling are crucial for regulating plant development,the relationship between these processes in the control of spikelet development remains *** this study,we used the CRISPR/Cas9 technology to generate two OsPRMT6a loss-of-function mutants that exhibit various abnormal spikelet ***,we found that OsPRMT6a can methylate arginine residues in JA signal repressors OsJAZ1 and *** showed that arginine methylation of OsJAZ1 enhances the binding affinity of OsJAZ1 with the JA receptors OsCOI1a and OsCOI1b in the presence of JAs,thereby promoting the ubiquitination of OsJAZ1 by the SCF^(OsCOI1a/OsCOI1b) complex and degradation via the 26S *** process ultimately releases OsMYC2,a core transcriptional regulator in the JA signaling pathway,to activate or repress JA-responsive genes,thereby maintaining normal plant(spikelet)***,in the osprmt6a-1 mutant,reduced arginine methylation of OsJAZ1 impaires the interaction between OsJAZ1 and OsCOI1a/OsCOI1b in the presence of *** a result,OsJAZ1 proteins become more stable,repressing JA responses,thus causing the formation of abnormal spikelet ***,we discovered that JA signaling reduces the OsPRMT6a mRNA level in an OsMYC2-dependent manner,thereby establishing a negative feedback loop to balance JA *** further found that OsPRMT6a-mediated arginine methylation of OsJAZ1 likely serves as a switch to tune JA signaling to maintain normal spikelet development under harsh environmental conditions such as high ***,our study establishes a direct molecular link between arginine methylation and JA signaling in rice.

Background:In the era of immunotherapy,neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy(NAIC)for the treatment of locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is used clinically but lacks of high-level clinical *** study aimed to compare the safety and long-term efficacy of NAIC followed byminimally invasive esophagectomy(MIE)with those of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)followed by ***:A prospective,single-center,open-label,randomized phase Ⅲ clinical trial was conducted at Henan Cancer Hospital,Zhengzhou,*** were randomly assigned to receive either neoadjuvant toripalimab(240mg)plus paclitaxel(175 mg/m^(2))+cisplatin(75 mg/m^(2))(toripalimab group)or paclitaxel+cisplatin alone(chemotherapy group)every 3.weeks for 2 *** surgery,the toripalimab group received toripalimab(240 mg every 3.weeks for up to 6 months).The primary endpoint was event-free survival(EFS).The pathological complete response(pCR)and overall survival(OS)were key secondary *** events(AEs)and quality of life were also ***:Between May 15,2020 and August 13.2021,252 ESCC patients ranging fromT1N1-3.0 to T2-3.0-3.0were enrolled for interim analysis,with 127 in the toripalimab group and 125 in the chemotherapy *** 1-year EFS rate was 77.9%in the toripalimab group compared to 64.3.in the chemotherapy group(hazard ratio[HR]=0.62;95%confidence interval[CI]=0.3. to 1.00;P=0.05).The 1-year OS rates were 94.1%and 83.0%in the toripalimab and chemotherapy groups,respectively(HR=0.48;95%CI=0.24 to 0.97;P=0.03.).The patients in the toripalimab group had a higher pCR rate(18.6%vs.4.6%;P=0.001).The rates of postoperative Clavien-Dindo grade Ⅲb or higher morbidity were 9.8%in the toripalimab group and 6.8%in the chemotherapy group,with no significant difference observed(P=0.460).The rates of grade 3.or 4 treatment-related AEs did not differ between the two groups(12.5%versus 12.4%).Conclusions:The interim results of this ongoing trial showed that in resec

Although biomass-derived carbon(biochar)has been widely used in the energy field,the relation between the carbonization condition and the physical/chemical property of the product remains ***,we revealed the carbonization condition's effect on the morphology,surface property,and electrochemical performance of the obtained *** open slit pore structure with shower-puff-like nanoparticles can be obtained by finely tuning the carbonization temperature,and its unique pore structure and surface properties enable the li–O_(2) battery with cycling longevity(221 cycles with 99.8%Coulombic efficiency at 0.2 mA cm^(−2) and controlled discharge–charge depths of 500 mAh g^(−1))and high capacity(16,3.4 mAh g^(−1) at 0.02 mA cm^(−2)).This work provides a greater understanding of the mechanism of the biochar carbonization procedure under various pyrolysis conditions,paving the way for future study of energy storage devices.

Zhl technique was used to form a corrosion resistant layer on LC4alloy. the composition of the layer was studied by X-rayphotoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It is found that the layer iscomposed of oxides of metals on the sub- strate, such as Al_2O_3.ZnO, MgO_, CuO, and MnO_2. The elecrochemical impedance spectrums(EIS) of LC4 aluminum alloy specimen were measured in NaCl solutionsto study the mechanism of the corrosion resistance of the alloytreated with Zh1 technique.

The photophysical properties of the polyamide PyPyPyβDp (PPP) were investigated by means of steady-state absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies, as well as time-resolved fluo-rescence spectroscopy. It was found that the excited-state properties of PPP are very sensitive to solvents. In TKMC buffer PPP exhibited weak fluorescence with a decay time constant of 16 ps, while with the decrease of the solvent polarity PPP showed the blue-shifted peak position, increased inten-sity and lengthened life-time for its fluorescence behavior. In the presence of calf thymus DNA, it was observed that the fluorescence intensity was enhanced and the fluorescence lifetime increased from 16 to 3. ps for PPP, which verified that PPP bound into the minor groove of DNA duplex.

With the rapid developmen of the Internet, the exhaustion of IPv4 address limited the development of the Internet for years. IPv6, as the core technology of the next generation Internet, has since been rapidly deployed around the world. As the widely deployed address configuration protocol, DHCPv6 is responsible for allocating globally unique IPv6 addresses to clients, which is the basis for all the network services. However, the initial design of the DHCPv6 protocol gave little consideration to the privacy and security issues, which has led to a proliferation of privacy and security accidents breaches in its real deployment. In this paper, to fundamentally solve a range of possible security and privacy issues, we propose a secure DHCPv6 mechanism, which adds authentication and encryption mechanisms into the original DHCPv6 protocol. Compared with other proposed security mechanisms for the DHCPv6, our method can achieve all-around protection for the DHCPv6 protocol with minimal change to the current protocol, easier deployment, and low computing cost.
