Feline animals can run quickly using spinal joints as well as the joints that make up their four *** paper describes the development of a quadruped robot including a spinal joint that biomimics feline *** developed robot platform consists of four legs with a double 4-bar linkage type and one simplified rotary *** addition,Q-learning,a type of machine learning,was used to find the optimal motion profile of the spinal *** bounding gait was implemented on the robot system using the motion profile of the spinal joint,and it was confirmed that using the spinal joint can achieve a faster Center of Mass(CoM)forward speed than not using the spinal *** the motion profile obtained through Q-learning did not exactly match the spinal angle of a feline animal,which is more multiarticular than that of the developed robot,the tendency of the actual feline animal spinal motion profile,which is sinusoidal,was similar.

MF2-DMTD: A Formalism and Game-Based Reasoning Framework for Optimized Drone-Type Moving Target Defense

Moving-target-defense(MTD)fundamentally avoids an illegal initial compromise by asymmetrically increasing the uncertainty as the attack surface of the observable defender changes depending on spatial-temporal ***,the existing naive MTD studies were conducted focusing only on wired network *** these cases have also been no formal research on wireless aircraft domains with attributes that are extremely unfavorable to embedded system operations,such as hostility,mobility,and ***,to solve these conceptual limitations,this study proposes normalized drone-type MTD that maximizes defender superiority by mutating the unique fingerprints of wireless drones and that optimizes the period-based mutation principle to adaptively secure the sustainability of drone *** addition,this study also specifies MF2-DMTD(model-checkingbased formal framework for drone-type MTD),a formal framework that adopts model-checking and zero-sum game,for attack-defense simulation and performance evaluation of drone-type ***,by applying the proposed models,the optimization of deceptive defense performance of drone-type MTD for each mutation period also additionally achieves through mixed-integer quadratic constrained programming(MIQCP)and multiobjective optimization-based Pareto *** a result,the optimal mutation cycles in drone-type MTD were derived as(65,120,85)for each control-mobility,telecommunication,and payload component configured inside the *** the optimal MTD cycles for each swarming cluster,ground control station(GCS),and zone service provider(ZSP)deployed outside the drone were also additionally calculated as(70,60,85),*** the best of these authors’knowledge,this study is the first to calculate the deceptive efficiency and functional continuity of the MTD against drones and to normalize the trade-off according to a sensitivity analysis with the optimum.

Lithium vanadium oxide(Li_(3)VO_(4))has gained attention as an alternative anode material because of its higher theoretical capacity(592 mAh g^(−1)),moderate ionic conductivity(∼10^(−4)S cm^(−1)),and lower working voltage range(∼0.5–1.0 V ***/Li^(+))in comparison to other metal ***,there are disadvantages to using Li_(3)VO_(4)as an anode material,such as low initial Coulombic efficiency and poor rate performance that is attributed to its low electronic conductivity(<10^(−1)0 S cm^(−1)).In the present study,the synthesis of one-dimensional Li_(3)VO_(4)electrode was performed via a facile method by using oxidized vapor grown carbon fiber as a template and the formation of the outer shells of conductive carbon via chemical vapor deposition *** a half-cell configuration,the prepared Li_(3)VO_(4)composites exhib-ited an enhanced electrochemical performance with a reversible capacity of 516.2 mAh g^(−1)after 100 cycles at a rate of 0.5 C within the voltage range of 0.01–3.0 *** a high rate of 5 C,a large reversible capacity of 322.6 mAh g^(−1)was also observed after 500 *** full cell(LVO/VGCF16-C||LiCoO_(2))using LiCoO_(2)as the cathode showed competitive electrochemical performance,which demonstrates its high potential in commercial applications.

This study explains the factors that enhance the innovation performance of a cluster by focusing on its knowledge *** on the literature on industry clusters,organizational diversity,and innovation,we suggest testable ***,this study suggests that two types of organizational diversity(diversity of nationality and organization type)positively impact the innovation performance of the *** addition,the cluster network size and embeddedness have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between organizational diversity and innovation *** study aims to determine whether the innovation performance of industry clusters varies depending on the degree of diversity of organizations in the cluster and whether their network characteristics may strengthen the positive effect of organizational *** study contributes to the research stream related to industry clusters and organizational diversity and provides practical implications to practitioners participating in creating and growing such clusters.

The low-temperature physical vapor deposition process of atomically thin two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide(2D TMD) has been gaining attention owing to the cost-effective production of diverse electrochemical catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) applications. We, herein, propose a simple route toward the cost-effective physical vapor deposition process of 2D WSe2 layered nanofilms as HER electrochemical catalysts using RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature(<27℃). By controlling the variable sputtering parameters, such as RF power and deposition time, the loading amount and electrochemical surface area(ECSA) of WSe2 films deposited on carbon paper can be carefully determined. The surface of the sputtered WSe2 films are partially oxidized, which may cause spherical-shaped particles. Regardless of the loading amount of WSe2, Tafel slopes of WSe2 electrodes in the HER test are narrowly distributed to be ~120–138 mV dec-1, which indicates the excellent reproducibility of intrinsic catalytic activity. By considering the trade-off between the loading amount and ECSA, the best HER performance is clearly observed in the 200 W-15 min sample with an overpotential of 220 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2. Such a simple sputtering method at low temperature can be easily expanded to other 2D TMD electrochemical catalysts, promising potentially practical electrocatalysts.
