The mechanism regulating proteasomal activity under proteotoxic stress conditions remains ***,we showed that arsenite-induced proteotoxic stress resulted in upregulation of Arabidopsis homologous PUB22 and PUB23 U-boxE3 ubiquitin ligases and that pub22 pub23 double mutants displayed arsenite-insensitive seed germination and root growth ***22/PUB23 downregulated 26 S proteasome activity by promoting the dissociation of the 19 S regulatory particle from the holo-proteasome complex,resulting in intracellular accumulation of UbG76 VGFP,an artificial substrate of the proteasome complex,and insoluble poly-ubiquitinated *** results suggest that PUB22/PUB23 play a critical role in arsenite-induced proteotoxic stress response via negative regulation of 26 S proteasome integrity.

It is a challenge to confirm chronic mesenteric ischemia(CMI) as a cause of gastrointestinal(GI) symptoms such as postprandial epigastric bloating,anorexia,and debilitating weight *** intervention for CMI has been gaining popularity because of the high morbidity associated with surgical ***,in EVI for superior mesenteric artery(SMA) occlusion,the transfemoral approach is limited by difficulty in coaxial alignment of the guiding catheter,which leads to insufficient back-up ***,we report on a 58-year-old male patient with chronic total occlusion of the SMA,which was successfully revascularized by endovascular intervention via the left radial *** endovascular therapy may be another treatment option for the treatment of CMI.

With the rise of remote collaboration,the demand for advanced storage and collaboration tools has rapidly ***,traditional collaboration tools primarily rely on access control,leaving data stored on cloud servers vulnerable due to insufficient *** paper introduces a novel mechanism that encrypts data in‘bundle’units,designed to meet the dual requirements of efficiency and security for frequently updated collaborative *** bundle includes updated information,allowing only the updated portions to be reencrypted when changes *** encryption method proposed in this paper addresses the inefficiencies of traditional encryption modes,such as Cipher Block Chaining(CBC)and Counter(CTR),which require decrypting and re-encrypting the entire dataset whenever updates *** proposed method leverages update-specific information embedded within data bundles and metadata that maps the relationship between these bundles and the plaintext *** utilizing this information,the method accurately identifies the modified portions and applies algorithms to selectively re-encrypt only those *** approach significantly enhances the efficiency of data updates while maintaining high performance,particularly in large-scale data *** validate this approach,we conducted experiments measuring execution time as both the size of the modified data and the total dataset size *** show that the proposed method significantly outperforms CBC and CTR modes in execution speed,with greater performance gains as data size ***,our security evaluation confirms that this method provides robust protection against both passive and active attacks.

In order to elucidate the genetic diversity and taxonomic status of Siberian roe deer(Capreolus pygargus)from the Korean peninsula,partial sequences of the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene were *** collected 57 roe deer samples from Mainland and Jeju Island between July 2004 and June 2009.A total of 50 sequences(1,070 bp)were obtained,and seven haplotypes were *** haplotypes were found from Mainland,and two were discovered from Jeju *** genetic diversity was lower in the Jeju Island population than in the Mainland *** addition,both the consensus neighbor-joining tree and maximum parsimony tree showed an identical topology between the Mainland and Jeju Island *** on the results,two subspecies of the Korean roe deer were *** roe deer in Jeju Island showed a distinct difference in the cytochrome b gene compared with other Siberian roe deer,being aunique native species inhabiting only Jeju Island in *** Siberian roe deer in Jeju Island can be classified at subspecies level,the new subspecies in Jeju was named Capreolus pygargus jejuensis in this *** this new subspecies,reasonable conservation and management effort is needed in the future.

A vehicle stopping method using an electric brake until a traction motor is stopped is studied. At the moment of vehicle stop, electric brake is changed to control mode where torque is reduced at a low speed. Gradient is controlled by estimating the load torque of motor, thereby traction motor is not rotated after stop. In addition, coasting operation and brake test are performed from normal-opposite operation and start using a small-scale model comprising the inertial load equipment and the power converter. Further, traction motor is made to be equipped with a suspension torque. Pure electric braking that makes traction motor stop by an air brake at the time of stop is also implemented. Constant torque range and constant power range are expanded during braking so that braking force is secured with the electric brakes even in high speed region. Therefore, vehicle reduction effect can be expected by reducing parts related with an air brake which is not used frequently by using a pure electric brake in the M car in wide speed region. Further, maintenance of brake system can be reduced. Besides, ride comfort of passenger in the electric rail car, energy efficiency improvement, and noise reduction effect can be additionally expected. Further, an improved brake method that uses only an electric brake till motor stop is proposed by comparing those in the blending brake that uses an air brake while reducing brake torque at vehicle stop.

AIM: To assess the clinical significance of incidental focal colorectal 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18 F-FDG) uptake on 18 F-FDG-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). METHODS: The records of all the cases which had undergone colonoscopy after PET/CT within a two weeks interval were reviewed. Adenomas were considered advanced when they were villous, ≥ 10 mm in size, or had high-grade dysplasia. Colorectal cancers and advanced adenomas are collectively referred to as advanced colorectal neoplasms. Receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis was used to determine thesignificant predictive maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) cutoff value for advanced colorectal neoplasms and cancer. RESULTS: Ninety-five colorectal lesions matched the site of incidental focal colorectal 18 F-FDG uptake on PET/CT and 146 did not. Colonoscopy showed advanced colorectal neoplasms corresponding to the site of 18 F-FDG uptake in 49 of the 95 (51.5%) lesions with incidental uptake. Of the lesions without incidental uptake, only 6 of 146 (4.1%) had advanced colorectal neoplasms on colonoscopy, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.001). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and accuracy of incidental focal 18 F-FDG uptake in identifying advanced colorectal neoplasms were 89.1%, 75.3%, 51.6%, 95.9%, and 78.4%, respectively. In detecting only CRC, these values were 89.2%, 69.6%, 34.7%, 97.3%, and 72.6%, respectively. The significant SUVmax cutoff value for advanced colorectal neoplasms (area under the curve 0.755, P < 0.001) was 4.35, with a sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, and accuracy of 75.5%, 65.2%, 69.8%, 71.4% and 70.5%, respectively. For CRC, 5.05 was the significant SUVmax cutoff value (area under the curve 0.817, P < 0.001), with a sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, and accuracy of 84.8%, 71.0%, 80.9%, 89.8%, and 75.8%, respectively. Magnetism in two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals(vdW)materials has lately attracted considerable attention from the point of view of both fundamental science and device ***,establishing a detailed and solid understanding of their magnetism is the key first step toward various *** Fe_(3)GeTe_(2)is a representative ferromagnetic(FM)metal in this family,many aspects of its magnetic and electronic behaviors still remain ***,we report our new finding that Fe_(3)GeTe_(2)is a special type of correlated metal known as“Hund metal”.Furthermore,we demonstrate that Hund metallicity in this material is quite unique by exhibiting remarkable site dependence of Hund correlation strength,hereby dubbed“site-differentiated Hund metal”.Within this new picture,many of the previous experiments can be clearly understood,including the ones that were seemingly contradictory to one another.

This paper introduces a new fog-assisted cloud storage which can achieve much higher throughput compared to the traditional cloud-only storage architecture by reducing the traffics toward the cloud storage. The fog-storage service providers are transparency to end-users and therefore, no modification on the end-user devices is necessary. This new system is featured with(1) a stronger audit scheme which is naturally coupled with the proposed architecture and does not suffer from the replay attack and(2) a transparent and efficient compensation mechanism for the fog-storage service providers. We provide rigorous theoretical analysis on the correctness and soundness of the proposed system. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first paper to discuss about a storage data audit scheme for fog-assisted cloud storage as well as the compensation mechanism for the service providers of the fog-storage service providers.
