Solid-state fiber dye-sensitized solar cells(SS-FDSSCs) have been the subject of intensive attention and development in recent years. Although this field is only in its infancy, metal–organic frameworks(MOFs) are one such material that has been utilized to further improve the power conversion efficiency of solar cells. In this study, MOF-integrated DSSCs were shown to have potential in the development of solar cell devices with efficiency comparable to or better than that of conventional solar cells. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) of SS-FDSSCs was improved by embedding MOF-801 into a mesoporous-TiO_(2)(mp-TiO_(2)) layer, which was used as a photoanode in SS-FDSSCs, which are inherently flexible. The PCE of the MOF-integrated SS-FDSSCs was 6.50%, which is comparable to that of the reference devices(4.19%).The MOF-801 enhanced SS-FDSSCs decreased the series resistance(R_(s)) value, resulting in effective electron extraction with improved short-circuit current density(J_(SC)), while also increasing the shunt resistance(R_(sh)) value to prevent the recombination of photo-induced electrons. The result is an improved fill factor and, consequently, a higher value for the PCE.

A commercial Al-Mg alloy was subjected to equal channel angular pressing of 4 passes with and without postrolling, and the effects of post-rolling on the deformation characteristics of the alloy at 723 K were examined. Post-rolling was found to influence the deformation behavior significantly. The deformation behavior of the alloy processed only by equal channel angular pressing was characterized by (a) localized deformation indicated by severe surface prominence and depression, (b) the strain rate sensitivity of 0.33, and (c) moderate high strain rate superplastic elongations. By contrast, that of the alloy processed by equal channel angular pressing and post-rolling (70 % thickness reduction) was manifested by (a) uniform deformation associated with grain boundary sliding throughout the sample, (b) a sigmoidal behavior showing the strain rate sensitivity of 0.45 at the intermediate strain rates in the logarithmic stress-strain rate curve, and (c) very large high strain rate superplastic elongations.

Lithofacies modeling by multipoint statistics and economic evaluation by NPV volume for the early Cretaceous Wabiskaw Member in Athabasca oilsands area, Canada

The static modeling and dynamic simulation are essential and critical processes in petroleum exploration and development. In this study, lithofacies models for Wabiskaw Member in Athabasca, Canada are generated by multipoint statistics(MPS) and then compared with the models built by sequential indicator simulation(SIS). Three training images(Tls) are selected from modern depositional environments;the Orinoco River Delta estuary, Cobequid bay-Salmon River estuary, and Danube River delta environment. In order to validate lithofacies models, average and variance of similarity in lithofacies are calculated through random and zonal blind-well *** random six-blind-well test, similarity average of MPS models is higher than that of SIS model. The Salmon MPS model closely resembles facies pattern of Wabiskaw Member in subsurface. Zonal blind-well tests show that successful lithofacies modeling for transitional depositional setting requires additional or proper zonation information on horizontal variation, vertical proportion, and secondary *** Wabiskaw Member is frontier oilsands lease, it is impossible to evaluate the economics from production data or dynamic simulation. In this study, a dynamic steam assisted gravity drainage(SAGD)performance indicator(SPIDER) on the basis of reservoir characteristics is calculated to build 3 D reservoir model for the evaluation of the SAGD feasibility in Wabiskaw Member. SPIDER depends on reservoir properties, economic limit of steam-oil ratio, and bitumen price. Reservoir properties like porosity,permeability, and water saturation are measured from 13 cores and calculated from 201 well-logs. Three dimensional volumes of reservoir properties are constructed mostly based on relationships among properties. Finally, net present value(NPV) volume can be built by equation relating NPV and SPIDER. AIM： To investigate the toxicity of the E-prostanoid 2（EP2） receptor agonist, butaprost against human subconjunctival（Tenon＇s capsule） fibroblasts, and to determine the underlying mechanism. METHODS： We isolated Tenon＇s fibroblasts from the subconjunctival area of healthy subjects and evaluated the types of EP receptors expressed using quantitative realtime reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction（RTPCR）. The toxicity of butaprost against the fibroblasts was evaluated using methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium and lactic dehydrogenase assays. The inhibition of conjunctival fibroblast proliferation by butaprost was assessed by measuring α-actin levels. The underlying mechanism was assessed by measuring intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate（c AMP） levels. Intergroup differences were statistically analyzed using an independent t-test. Densitometry of the Western blot bands was performed using the Image J software. RESULTS： Quantitative real-time RT-PCR revealed that the fibroblast EP2 receptor levels were higher than those of the other EP receptors. Butaprost did not show toxicity against Tenon＇s tissue, but inhibited conjunctival fibroblast proliferation by reducing collagen synthesis. EP2 receptor activation enhanced the c AMP cascade, which might be an important mechanism underlying this ***： Butaprost effectively reduces the subconjunctival scarring response. Given the significanceof wound healing modulation in blebs, butaprost＇s inhibitory effect on subconjunctival Tenon＇s fibroblasts may be beneficial in managing postoperative scarring in glaucoma surgery.

Clinical bone-morphogenetic protein 2(BMP2)treatment for bone regeneration,often resulting in complications like soft tissue inflammation and ectopic ossification due to high dosages and non-specific delivery systems,necessitates research into improved biomaterials for better BMP2 stability and *** tackle this challenge,we introduced a groundbreaking bone-targeted,lipoplex-loaded,three-dimensional bioprinted bilayer scaffold,termed the polycaprolactone-bioink-nanoparticle(PBN)scaffold,aimed at boosting bone *** encapsulated BMP2 within the fibroin nanoparticle based lipoplex(Fibroplex)and functionalized it with DSS6 for bone tissue-specific targeting.3D printing technology enables customized,porous PCL scaffolds for bone healing and soft tissue growth,with a two-step bioprinting process creating a cellular lattice structure and a bioink grid using gelatin-alginate hydrogel and DSS6-Fibroplex,shown to support effective nutrient exchange and cell growth at specific pore *** PBN scaffold is predicted through in silico analysis to exhibit biased BMP2 release between bone and soft tissue,a finding validated by in vitro osteogenic differentiation *** PBN scaffold was evaluated for critical calvarial defects,focusing on sustained BMP2 delivery,prevention of soft tissue cell infiltration and controlled fiber membrane pore size in *** PBN scaffold demonstrated a more than eight times longer BMP2 release time than that of the collagen sponge,promoting osteogenic differentiation and bone regeneration in a calvarial defect *** findings suggest that the PBN scaffold enhanced the local concentration of BMP2 in bone defects through sustained release and improved the spatial arrangement of bone formation,thereby reducing the risk of heterotopic ossification.

Contrast evaluation can be used as a criterion to evaluate performance of contrast enhancement algorithms and to compare contrast capability of display systems. This paper deals with contrast evaluation models for natural color images. Two separate models are defined for within- and cross-content evaluations. The former is to differentiate the perceived contrast of the images with the same content. The latter is to discriminate the differences in contrast among the images with different contents. Perception mechanisms are quite different for within- and cross-content evaluations. Local contrast plays an important role in within-content evaluation. In contrast, global contrast dominates the contrast perception for cross-content evaluation. Results of human visual experiments show that the proposed evaluation models outperform previous methods for both within- and cross-content evaluations.

Experimental assessment of two-phase bubble pump for solar water heating

The research goal is to develop a new solar water heater system(SWHS) that uses a solar bubble pump instead of an electric *** pump is powered by the steam produced from an evacuated tube ***,heat could be transferred downward from the collector to a hot water storage *** designed system consists of two sets of heat-pipe evacuated tube collectors,a solar bubble pump installed at an upper level and a water storage tank with a heat exchanger at a lower *** heads of 1 and 5 m were *** bubble pump could operate at the collector temperature of about 90-100 ℃ and vapor gage pressure of 80-90 *** is found that water circulation within the SWHS depends on the incident solar intensity and system discharge *** investigations are conducted to obtain the system thermal efficiencies from the hourly,daily and long-term performance *** thermal performance of the proposed system is compared with conventional solar water *** results show that the proposed system achieves system characteristic efficiency of 10% higher than that of the conventional systems using electric pump if taking the consumption of electric power into *** the former is a zero carbon system.
