We have recently discovered a unique CD34loCD133lo cell population in the human fetal liver （FL） that gives rise to cells in the hepatic lineage. In this study, we further characterized the biological functions of FL CD341~CD133~~ cells. Our findings show that these CD341~CD133I~ cells express markers of both endodermal and mesodermal lineages and have the capability to differentiate into hepatocyte and mesenchymal lineage cells by ex vivo differentiation assays. Furthermore, we show that CD34~~CD 133I~ cel Is express growth factors that are important for human hematopoietic stem cell （HSC） expansion： stem cell factor （SCF）, insulin-like growth factor 2 （IGF2）, C-X-C motif chemokine 12 （CXCL12）, and factors in the angiopoietin-like protein family. Co-culture of autologous FL HSCs and allogenic HSCs derived from cord blood with CD34loCD133lo cells supports and expands both types of *** findings are not only essential for extending our understanding of the HSC niche during the development of embryonic and fetal hematopoiesis but will also potentially benefit adult stem cell transplantations in clinics because expanded HSCs demonstrate the same capacity as primary cells to reconstitute the human immune system and mediate long-term hematopoiesis in vivo. Together,CD34loCD133lo cells not only serve as stem/progenitor cells for liver development but are also an essential component of the HSC niche in the human FL.

This paper discusses a preferable solution to mitigate the CT （current transformer） saturation problem, and at same time, reduce the accuracy errors when considering the selection of CTs for installation on the medium voltage switchgear of a nuclear power plant. This consideration is important for both measurement and protection functions of the digital protective relays. This is a study to ascertain the best options for a suitable solution to prevent CT saturation in relations to its protective capabilities during short circuit fault without compromising the CT accuracy class during normal operation of the system, while ensuring its conformity to the design requirement is within limit. The advantages of current transformers have proven not only to be reliable and safe, but also are of easy handling, reduction of the cost and components on the MV （medium voltage） switchgear. The purpose of this research is to identify best approach to resolve the existing problems in the current protection system. With the view of LPCT （low power current transformer） which has been newly constructed by few manufacturers to provide good protection and a wide range of measuring function without errors, some other solutions will be considered in this research.

Long-term outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection and surgery for undifferentiated intramucosal gastric cancer regardless of size

BACKGROUND The clinical outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)for undifferentiated(UD)intramucosal early gastric cancer(EGC)compared with those of surgery,regardless of lesion size,are not well ***,there is a concern regarding the treatment plan before and after ESD in cases of UD intramucosal EGC within expanded *** To evaluate clinical outcomes of ESD compared with those of surgery in UD intramucosal EGC patients regardless of tumor *** We enrolled patients with UD intramucosal EGC after ESD with complete resection or surgery from January 2005 to August 2020 who met the within or beyond expanded indications with lesion size>2 cm(the only non-curative factor).Overall,123 and 562 patients underwent ESD and surgery,*** propensity-score matching,clinical and long-term outcomes,i.e.,recurrencefree survival(RFS)and overall survival(OS),were *** multivariable Cox proportional hazard model with treatment modality and ESD indication was used to evaluate the recurrence *** After matching,119 patients each were finally enrolled in the ESD and surgery *** median length of hospital stay was shorter in the ESD group than surgery group(4.0 vs 9.0 days,P<0.001).Four cases of recurrence after ESD were local recurrences,all of which occurred within 1 *** recurrence was seven(5.9%)and two(1.7%)in the ESD and surgery groups,*** difference was observed between the two groups with respect to OS(P=0.948).However,the ESD group had inferior RFS compared with the surgery group(P=0.031).ESD was associated with the risk of recurrence after initial treatment in all enrolled patients(hazard ratio,5.2;95%confidence interval:1.0-25.8,P=0.045).CONCLUSION Although OS was similar between the two groups,surveillance endoscopy was important for the ESD than for the surgery group because RFS was inferior and local recurrence was an issue.

Qualification of equipment essential to safety in NPPs （nuclear power plants） ensures its capability to perform designated safety functions on demand under postulated service conditions. However, a number of incidents identified by the NRC （Nuclear Regulatory Commission） since 1980s catalysed the US nuclear industry to adopt standard precautions to guard against counterfeit items. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the NFC （near field communication） based equipment qualification management system preventing counterfeit and fraudulent items. The NEQM （NFC based equipment qualification management） system works with the support of legacy systems such as PMS （procurement management system） and FMS （facility management system）.

Risk Factors of Commercial Banks in Malaysia

All kinds of risks exist in the banking industry. In order to cover these exposures, banks must manage these risk factors for better survival in any state of uncertainty. The objective is to examine the relevant risk factors that will affect the sensitivity of commercial banks in Malaysia. These factors are liquidity and interest rate risk, credit risk, market risk, operating and country risk, and exchange rate risk. A survey is conducted to solicit the appropriate factors that will influence the sensitivity of banks. Factor analysis is then used to identify the factors and a regression model is used to establish the associations. The results obtained through this research would be beneficial in constructing an effective solution or strategy to enable banks to minimize risk and possible failure in times of adversity.

Lymphovascular invasion in more than one-quarter of small rectal neuroendocrine tumors

AIM To identify the frequency, clinicopathological risk factors, and prognostic significance of lymphovascular invasion(LVI) in endoscopically resected small rectal neuroendocrine tumors(NETs).METHODS Between June 2005 and December 2015, 104 cases of endoscopically resected small(≤ 1 cm) rectal NET specimens at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital in Korea were retrospectively evaluated. We compared the detected rate of LVI in small rectal NET specimens by two methods: hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) and ancillary immunohistochemical staining(D2-40 and Elastica van Gieson); in addition, LVI detection ratedifference between endoscopic procedures were also evaluated. Patient characteristics, prognosis and endoscopic resection results were reviewed by medical *** We observed LVI rates of 25.0% and 27.9% through H&E and ancillary immunohistochemical staining. The concordance rate between H&E and ancillary studies was 81.7% for detection of LVI, which showed statistically strong agreement between two methods(κ = 0.531, P 5 mm, P = 0.007), tumor grade 2(P = 0.006). Among those factors, tumor grade 2 was the only independent predictive factor for the presence of LVI(HR = 4.195, 95%CI: 1.321-12.692, P = 0.015). No recurrence was observed over 28.8 mo regardless of the presence of *** LVI may be present in a high percentage of small rectal NETs, which may not be associated with short-term prognosis.
