With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution,the construction industry has undergone a paradigm *** smart construction technology market is expected to grow 12%annually in developed countries due to advanced technology *** is expected that businesses requiring highly sophisticated technology,for instance companies that need their old facilities upgraded,will become the main focus of the *** building information modeling(BIM)design is becoming mandatory,such as in the Korea Public Procurement Service,researches regarding building automation,construction,and operation integration management systems based on BIM are *** addition,for construction projects of over 10 billion won,design value engineering(Design VE)implementation,including life cycle cost(LCC)analysis,is mandatory at the design stage to improve quality and reduce the lifetime costs of *** this study,we propose an improvement plan for LCC analysis at the design stage using the KBIMS library,which is an open BIM library developed by the Korean government and research *** analyze the existing LCC method,KBIMS library,and attribute information,and model the process that is applied in the LCC analysis *** is expected to complement the LCC analysis system and improve work productivity.

This paper explores and compares FER (Frame Error Rate) of a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer in the IEEE 802.11 a/g/n wireless LAN. It is evaluated under the fading wireless channel, using theoretical analysis method. It is analyzed by using the number of stations with both variable payload size and mobile speed on the condition that fading margin and transmission probability are fixed. Especially, in the IEEE 802.11n, A-MSDU (MAC Service Data Unit Aggregation) scheme is considered and the number of subframe is used as the variable parameter. In the IEEE802.11a/g wireless LAN, fixed wireless channel is assumed to be Rayleigh fading channel. Mobile wireless channel is assumed to be flat fading Rayleigh channel with Jake spectrum. The channel is in fading states or inter-fading states by evaluating a certain threshold value of received signal power level. If and only if the whole frame is in inter-fading state, there is the successful frame transmission. If any part of frame is in fading duration, the frame is received in error.

A powerful method, termed flow relaxography, allowing the practical and accurate determination of the water proton MR signal relaxation time distributions has been recently introduced with a phantom, having both flowing and non-flowing water. It was demonstrated that this method can discriminate the signals from the flowing and non-flowing spins, since flow affects the apparent T1 (T1*) value. In this report, it is demonstrated that this technique is effective also in the human leg in vivo. Flow relaxographic angiography is presented for the first time. This technique promises to accomplish the twin goals of flow studies in medical MRI, to display vascular anatomy and measure its blood flow rate, in the same image.

This paper looks at the language use and the language situation of Hong Kong and their relationship with the identity issue or identity crisis （as reported in some of the media, such as The Guardian, March 2012）. The ＂bi-literacy and tri-lingualism language policy＂ of Hong Kong is discussed. The use of the three language varieties, namely Cantonese, English and Mandarin are discussed in relation to Hong Kong people＇s proclaimed cultural identity. The emergence of mixed code （juxtaposing English into Cantonese utterances） also marks the link between language and proclaimed cultural identity. With the several social issues happened in Hong Kong 2010-2012, Hong Kong citizens＇ sense of belonging with an ethnic Hong Kong identity reached the highest according to the Public Opinion Program launched by one of the universities in Hong Kong. Language use in one of the recent television drama series magnifies the issue of ＂Hongkongness＂ which is closely linked to the use of Cantonese and mixed code.

Objective： Red ginseng （RG, Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer） is one of the widely used herbs for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus （DM）. However, no systematic review of the effectiveness of RG for type 2 DM is available. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the current evidence for the effectiveness of RG in patients with type 2 DM. Methods＂ Electronic searches of 14 electronic databases were conducted without language restrictions. All randomized clinical trials （RCTs） with RG as a treatment for type 2 DM were considered for inclusion. Their methodological quality was assessed using the Cochrane criteria. Results： Four RCTs met our inclusion criteria. Their methodological quality was variable. Three of the RCTs compared the effectiveness of RG with placebo. The meta-analysis of these data failed to favor RG over placebo for fasting plasma glucose （FPG） [n=76, weighted mean difference （WMD）： -0.43 mmol/L; 95% confidence interval （CI）： -1.16 to 0.30, P=0.25] and fasting plasma insulin （FPI）（n=76, WMD： -8.43 pmol/L; 95% Ch -19.54 to 2.68, P=0.14） for 12 weeks of treatment. One RCT compared the effects of RG with no treatment. The results did not suggest favorable effects of RG on FPG, hemoglobin Alo （HbAlc） or 2-h blood glucose after a meal （PP2h）. Conclusions： The evidence for the effectiveness of RG in controlling glucose in type 2 DM is not convincing. Few included studies with various treatment regimens prohibit definitive conclusions. More rigorous studies are needed to clarify the effects of RG on this condition.

目的:观察在体内、体外不同条件下小鼠嗜酸细胞(EOS)表面CD69的表达与细胞存活率,探讨CD69的表达在小鼠EOS的活化、凋亡中的作用。方法:提纯IL-5高分泌转基因小鼠外周血中的EOS,测定其表面CD69的表达,体外以PMA+MA刺激EOS,在1 h、12 h、18 h、24 h测定细胞表面CD69的表达与细胞存活率;分别以1μg/L的IL-4、IL-5、IL-12、IL-13、IFN-γ、GM-CSF培养EOS18 h后测定细胞的存活率与表面CD69的表达。制备小鼠哮喘模型,观察CD69在小鼠BALF、外周血EOS中的表达。结果:新鲜提纯的小鼠外周血EOS不表达CD69,PMA+MA刺激的EOS在1 h后即有CD69的表达,12 h表达至高峰,至少持续24 h以上;但细胞的存活率快速下降。不同细胞因子对EOS的培养均可诱导CD69的表达,其中IL-13、IFN-γ、GM-CSF对此影响明显,且GM-CSF可显著抑制EOS的凋亡;哮喘小鼠外周血EOS无CD69的表达,而BALF中EOS可有CD69的表达。结论:静止小鼠EOS表面不表达CD69,但在体内、体外不同条件下激活的EOS表面均有CD69的表达;同时,体外实验显示CD69的表达与细胞凋亡密切相关。结果提示CD69既可作为EOS激活的表面标记物,同时又可诱导EOS的凋亡,这为哮喘治疗提供新的思路。

A new transportation technology known as personal rapid transit （PRT） is being developed by multiple different companies around the world, and one system is under commercial operations in the United Kingdom. Each design is different, but they all share a need to operate many automated transit vehicles at very close headways. Safe operation will require a level of control an order of magnitude above any current transit system. As a result, new techniques will be needed for the development and testing of the mechanical and control systems. In this paper an apparatus for developing and testing a PRT vehicle control scheme is demonstrated. This system is composed of independent modules that represent virtual vehicles, a central control system, a man-machine interface and a monitoring device. It can be used to implement and to evaluate the designed vehicle control algorithm. The vehicle control algorithm is designed and simulated in a combined simulation platform that consists of Matlab/Simulink and Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit. Simple operational scenarios are proposed for the testing of the proposed vehicle control apparatus.

Arterial Stiffness as a Cardiovascular Risk Factor in Prostate Cancer Survivors:A Case-Control Study

Purpose In New Zealand,prostate cancer (PCa) is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men and the third most common cause of male cancer *** these patients,the most common non-cancer related cause of death is cardiovascular disease (CVD).Aortic arterial stiffness may be clinically viable solution for detecting and tracking CVD risk factor in PCa *** aim of the study was to determine whether aortic arterial stiffness is increased in PCa survivors compared to age-matched *** Participants recruited for this prospective comparative study were PCa survivors who had completed treatment(other than endocrine therapy) or were on active surveillance compared,or were age-matched non-cancer *** a single 1-h appointment,all participants had measures of aortic arterial stiffness,arterial wave reflection,central blood pressure and body composition *** Ninety-eight men were recruited,51 PCa survivors and 47 *** was no significant between group dif-ference for aortic arterial stiffness[12.0 m/s (SD:1.7) vs.12.0 m/s (SD:1.9),P=0.953,d=0.0].Fat free mass[60.7 kg(SD:4.9) vs.65.1 kg (SD:8.3),P=0.007,d=0.6]and skeletal muscle index[8.6 kg/m2 (SD:0.6) vs.9.0 kg/m2 (SD:0.9),P=0.050,d=0.5]were lower in the PCa *** Aortic arterial stiffness is not increased (worse) in men with PCa who receive various treatments,compared to age-matched *** findings may indicate that factors other than increased aortic arterial stiffness contribute to heightened risk of cardiovascular events in this population.
