We report the theoretical prediction of two high-performing hydride superconductors BaSiH_(8)and SrSiH_(8).They are thermodynamically stable above pressures of 130 and 174 GPa,respectively,and metastable below *** anharmonic phonon calculations,we determine the minimum pressures of dynamical stability to be around 3 GPa for BaSiH8 and 27 GPa for SrSiH_(8),and using the fully anisotropic Migdal-Eliashberg theory,we predict Tc’s around 71 and 126 K,*** also introduce a method to estimate the lowest pressure of synthesis,based on the calculation of the enthalpy barriers protecting the BaSiH_(8)Fm3¯m structure from decomposition at various *** kinetic pressure threshold is sensibly higher than the one based on dynamic stability,but gives a much more rigorous limit for synthesizability.

Background: Artificial turf is considered a feasible global alternative to natural turf by many sports governing bodies. Consequently, its ability to provide a safe and consistent playing surface regardless of climate becomes essential. The aims of this study were to determine the effects of artificial surface temperature on:(1) mechanical properties of the turf and(2) the kinematics of a turf-sport related ***: Two identical artificial turf pitches were tested: one with a cold surface temperature(1.8°C–2.4°C) and one with a warm surface temperature(14.5°C–15.2°C). Mechanical testing was performed to measure the surface properties. Four amateur soccer players performed a hurdle jump to sprint acceleration movement, with data(contact time, step length and hip, knee and ankle kinematics) collected using CODASport(200 Hz).Results: The temperature difference had a significant influence on the mechanical properties of the artificial turf, including force absorption,energy restitution, rotational resistance, and the height where the head injury criterion was met. Both step length(p = 0.008) and contact time(p = 0.002) of the initial step after the landing were significantly longer on the warm surface. In addition, significant range of motion and joint angular velocity differences were ***: These findings highlight different demands placed on players due to the surface temperature and suggest a need for coaches,practitioners, and sports governing bodies to be aware of these differences.

Longitudinal Changes in Sarcopenia Criteria in Older Men with Low Skeletal Muscle Mass Index:A 2-Year Observational Study

Purpose Declines in muscle mass and function are inevitable during the aging ***,what is the“normal age appropriate”decline of muscle mass and function?Further,is this decline uniform for muscle mass versus functions or between different functional abilities?Using recognized Sarcopenia criteria[*** muscle mass index(SMI)defined as appendicular skeletal muscle mass/height(kg/m^(2)),handgrip strength,gait velocity],the aim of the present project was to determine corresponding changes in community-dwelling men 70 years+with low SMI over a 2-year *** One hundred and seventy-seven(177)men within the lowest SMI quartile of a recent epidemiologic study(n=965)were included in the 2-year follow-up *** mass was determined via direct-segmental,multi-frequency Bio-Impedance-Analysis,handgrip strength was tested with a Jamar hand-dynamometer and habitual gait speed was assessed with photo sensors applying the 10 m *** SMI,handgrip strength and gait velocity all declined significantly(P<0.001;effect size,d′0.39-1.17),however,with significantly higher reductions(P<0.001)in functional compared with morphologic Sarcopenia criteria(P≤0.006).Less expected,handgrip strength featured a fourfold higher decline compared with gait velocity(−12.8±10.9%versus−3.5±9.0%).Conclusion We provided evidence for significant non-uniform changes of Sarcopenia criteria in a cohort of community dwell-ing men 70 years+with low *** doubt that this result might be a particularity of the selected cohort;however,studies with other(older)cohorts should address this issue in more *** practical relevance,our data further give implications for the prioritization of interventions that address Sarcopenia criteria in older community-dwelling men.

Prevalence of cholelithiasis in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease

AIM: To investigate the effect of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (CIBD) specific risk factors for cholecystolithiasis,as duration and involvement pattern of the disease and prior surgery in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC).METHODS: A total of 222 patients with CD (135 females,87 males; average age, 35.8±11.8 years; range 17-81 years)and 88 patients with UC (39 females, 49 males; average age, 37.2±13.6 years; range 16-81 years) underwent clinical and ultrasound examinations. Besides age, sex and degree of obesity, patients' CIBD specific parameters, including duration and extent of disease and prior operations were documented and evaluated statistically using logistic ***: The overall prevalence of gallbladder stone disease in patients with CD was 13% (n = 30). Only age could be shown to be an independent risk factor (P = 0.014).Compared to a collective representative for the general population in the same geographic region, the prevalence of cholecystolithiasis was higher in all corresponding age groups. Patients with UC showed an overall prevalence of gallbladder stone disease of only 4.6%.CONCLUSION:Only age but not disease-specific factors such as duration and extent of disease, and prior surgery are independent risk factors for the development of cholecystolithiasis in patients with CIBD.
