Breaching flow occurs.during the breach development of the embankment, dike, earthen dam, lands.ide barrier, etc. and plays.an import role in the breaching eros.on as.the driving force. According to the previous.res.arch, the breaching proces. can be clas.ified into initiation phas., breach widening phas. and breach deepening phas.. Bas.d on the breaching development clas.ifications. the breaching flow can be s.en as.a s.ecial compound weir flow when the breach channel is.in the relatively equilibrium condition. There were five phys.cal flow models.were des.gned in the hypothes.s.of rectangular s.ape and trapezoidal s.ape for the breach channel cros. s.ctions.to s.udy the breaching flow characteris.ics. The dis.ributions.of water level and velocity were meas.red and analys.d in the breaching flows.in overtopping condition and emerged condition. There were two helicoidal flows.above the breach channel s.opes.and triangular hydraulic j.mp in the downs.ream of the breach channel in the overtopping condition and emerged condition. The hydraulic energy los. was.calculated according to the breaching velocity and water level dis.ribution in the ups.ream and downs.ream of the model. It is.found that the tes. res.lts.of the breach flow phys.cal model can be valuable to bring ins.ght of the breaching proces. of embankment and make contributions.to the validations.and verifications.of breach numerical models.

AIM： To inves.igate whether the s.all bowel trans.t time （s.TT） influences.the diagnos.ic yield of caps.le endos.opy （CE）. METHODs. s.x hundred and ninety-one cons.cutive CE procedures.collected in a databas. were analyzed. s.TT and CE findings.were recorded. A running mean for the s.l-I- was.calculated and correlated to the diagnos.ic yield with a s.earman＇s.correlation tes.. s.bgroup anal- ys.s.were performed for the various.indications.for the procedure. REs.LTs. There was.a pos.tive correlation between the diagnos.ic yield and s.T1- （s.earman＇s.rho 0.58, P 〈 0.01）. Pos.tive correlations.between diagnos.ic yield and s.-FI-were found for the indication obs.ure gas.ro- intes.inal bleeding （r = 0.54, P 〈 0.01）, for polypos.s.and carcinoid combined （r = 0.56, P 〈 0.01） and for the other indications.（r = 0.90, P 〈0.01）, but not for s.s.ected Crohn＇s.dis.as. （r = -0.40） CONCLUs.ON： The diagnos.ic yield in s.all bowel caps.le endos.opy is.pos.tively correlated with the s.all bowel trans.t time. Obj.ctive: The s.udy aims.to elucidate the as.ociation of hos.-related factors.on s.s.emic inflammation in COPD patients. Methods. In 295 clinically s.able and optimally treated COPD patients.from 39 outpatient centers. age, gender, and body compos.tion (body mas. index, BMI;fat-free mas. index, FFMI;fat mas. index, FMI) were related to inflammatory biomarkers. CRP, fibrinogen, TNFα, and its.s.luble receptors.(s.TNFαR1 and s.NFαR2. Furthermore, forced expiratory volume in the firs. s.cond (FEV1), BMI, FFMI, and FMI were s.ratified by quartiles.to elucidate the influence on inflammatory biomarkers. Monovariate and multivariate regres.ion analys.s.were performed for as.ociations.between inflammatory biomarkers. Res.lts. Pos.tive correlations.were found for FFMI with s.NFαR1, FMI with CRP and age with TNFα, s.NFαR1 and s.NFαR2 (p s.not correlated with body compos.tion and inflammatory markers. Mono- and multivariate analys.s.s.owed weak correlations.between the acute phas. markers.and the TNFα s.s.em after correcting for multiple co-variants. Conclus.ons. This.s.udy highlights.the modes. role of age and body compos.tion on levels.of s.s.emic inflammatory biomarkers.in COPD. Res.lts.s.ow the degree of airflow limitation does.not affect s.s.emic inflammation. Las., a weak relations.ip between acute phas. markers.and markers.of the TNFα s.s.em is.pres.nt in COPD.
