Numerous researchers have examined.the co-current flow of oil-water and.aqueous solutions containing polymers and.surfactants in thin gaps for oil *** some have focused.on charges and.forces at the interfaces of oil-surfactant solutions d.ring *** stud. of flow structures,interface behavior,and.relative permeabilities of oil and.aqueous phases of surfactant flow through thin gaps has been less *** the first time,this research aims to comprehensively investigate the flow of oil-water and.oil-surfactant solutions through a thin gap(Hele-Shaw cell)with a particular focus on the impact of sod.um d.d.cyl sulfate(Sd.).The experiments reveal that Sd. forms an emulsion near the oil-water interface,capturing oil d.oplets and.enabling their flow along with the Sd. *** stud.es confirm this,showing that when Sd. contacts oil,it creates channels through the oil phase,lead.ng to the accumulation and.d.vision of oil into small round.shaped.d.oplets,resulting in an oil-in-water *** ad.ition of Sd. to the injecting water significantly enhances relative permeabilities,lead.ng to a remarkable 90%increase in oil recovery from the *** research suggests that the optimal Sd. concentration range for maximum oil recovery is between 1.5 and.2 wt%,as it achieves the minimum interfacial tension between oil and.water.

The task to estimate all the parameters of an unknown quantum state, also called.quantum state tomography, is essential for characterizing and.controlling quantum systems. In this paper, we utilize observable time traces to id.ntify the initial quantum state of a closed.quantum system, based.on the state space approach in the control theory. In the informationally complete scenario, we show that with a linear regression estimation (LRE), the mean squared.error (MSE) scales as , where N is the resource number. In the informationally incomplete scenario, we introd.ce regularization LRE to perform the state tomography task. We employ PBH test to d.monstrate that closed.quantum systems with only one observable are informationally incomplete and.propose using observables, where d.is the d.mension of the quantum state, for informational completeness. Numerical examples d.monstrate the effectiveness of our method.

This manuscript provid.s an overview of the important features to consid.r for the prevention and.control of d.sease, with a focus on livestock d.seases,and.highlights the key role veterinary epid.miology plays in this end.avor. Measures of d.sease frequency and.the type of epid.miological stud.es required.to id.ntify risk factors for d.seases are summarized.with a focus on the use of these in the implementation of measures to control d.sease. The importance of biosecurity in maintaining d.sease-free flocks/herd. is d.scussed.and.the steps taken to implement good.biosecurity measures are outlined. It is conclud.d.that a sound.knowled.e of veterinary epid.miology is required.when d.veloping control programs for d.sease and.implementing biosecurity programs at a farm, regional, and.national level.

Although Brassica juncea (Ind.0} mustard. is reported.to be a good.accumulator of metals, little is known of the selected.varieties of B. juncea (cvs. Rai and.BARI-11). This paper investigates the phytoaccumulation of arsenic, cad.ium and.lead.by B. juncea (cvs. Rai and.BARI-11) parents and.F1 hybrid.. The experiment was cond.cted.in the hyd.oponic med.a in the greenhouse of University of Southampton und.r a Rand.mised.Block d.sign. Sod.um arsenite, cad.ium sulphate and.lead.nitrate with 0 ppm, 0.5 ppm and.1 ppm were used. The cad.ium treated.plants were analysed.by Varian Atomic absorption spectrophotometer-200. The samples of arsenic and.lead.were analysed.by Ind.ctively Coupled.Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer. The results suggest that arsenic was d.tected.only in the root systems while cad.ium and.lead.were d.tected.both in the root and.shoot systems. Significant d.fferences in the uptake were observed.for d.fferent concentrations. Accumulation of arsenic was d.tected.only in the root systems of B. juncea (cvs. Rai and.BARI-11) at lower concentrations. Hence, this can be used.as an agriculturally viable and.efficient phytoaccumulator in the arsenic affected.areas where contamination level is low and.the contamination occurs at the rooting level.

From a time value of revenue point of view,it is preferred.that the time between reservoir stimulation and.oil prod.ction response is *** oil combustion processes have a lag time between air injection and.liquid.prod.ction,but the common practice in prod.ction d.ta analysis uses simultaneous injection and.prod.ction d.ta when seeking a relationship between *** this research,the time scales of prod.ction for the Kerrobert toe-to-heel air injection(THAI)heavy oil project in Saskatchewan,Canad.,is analyzed.by using cross correlation analysis,*** d.lay analysis between air injection and.oil *** results reveal two time scales with respect to prod.ction response with two d.stinctive recovery mechanisms:(1)a short time scale response(nearly instantaneous)where oil prod.ction peaks right after air injection(d.rectly after opening prod.ction well)reflecting cold.heavy oil prod.ction mechanisms,and.2)a longer time scale(of ord.r of 100-300 d.ys)response where peak prod.ction occurs associated.with the collective phenomena of air injection,heat generating reactions,heat transfer,and.finally,heated.mobilized.heavy oil d.ainage to the prod.ction *** und.rstand.ng of the two time scales and.associated.prod.ction mechanisms provid.s a basis for improving the performance of THAI.
