This paper is divided into two parts. In the first part the authors extend Kac's classical problem to the fractal case, i.e., to ask: Must two isospectral planar domains with fractal boundaries be isometric?It is demonstrated that the answer to this question is no, by constructing a pair of disjoint isospectral planar domains whose boundaries have the same interior bouligand-Minkowski dimension but are not isometric. In the second part of this paper the authors give the exact two-term asymptotics for the dirichlet counting functions associated with the examples given here and obtain sharp two sided estimates for the second term of the counting functions. The first result in the second part of the paper shows that the coefficient of the second term is an oscillatory function of λ, which implies that the Weyl-berry conjecture, for the examples given here, is false. The second result implies that the weaker form of the Weyl-berry conjecture, for these examples, is true. This in turn means that the interior bouligand-Minkowski dimension of the examples is a spectral invariant.

An axial symmetry finite element model coupled with electricity-thermal effect was developed to study the temperature field distribution in process of the flash butt welding （FbW） of frog highmanganese steel. The influence of temperature dependent material properties and the contact resistance were taken into account in FEM ＇simulation. Meanwhile, the lost materials due to .splutter was resolved by using birth and death element. The result of analyzing data shows that the moddel in the FbW flashing is reasonable and feasible, and can exactly simulate the temperature field distribution. The modeling provides reference for analysis of welding technologies on the temperature field of high-manganese steel in FbW.

The motion of melt droplets in spray degassing process was analyzed theoretically. The height of the treatment tank in spray degassing process couM be determined by the results of theoretical calculation of motion of melt droplets. To know whether the melt droplets wouM solidify during spraying process, the balance temperature of melt droplets was also theoretically analyzed. Then proof experiments for theoretical results about temperature of melt droplets were carried. In comparison, the experimental results were nearly similar to the calculation results,

big-bang nucleosynthesis （bbN） offers the deepest reliable probe of the early Universe, being based on well-understood Standard Model physics [1]. Predictions of the abundances of the light elements, d, 3He, 4He, and 7Li, synthesized at the end of the ＇first three minutes＇, are in good overall agreement with the primordial abundances inferred from observational data, thus validating the standard hot big-bang cosmology （see [2-5] for reviews）.

Mechanically durable transparent electrodes are essential for achieving long-term stability in flexible optoelectronic ***,they are crucial for applications in the fields of energy,display,healthcare,and soft *** meshes represent a promising alternative to traditional,brittle,metal oxide conductors due to their high electrical conductivity,optical transparency,and enhanced mechanical *** this paper,we present a simple method for fabricating an ultra-transparent conducting metal oxide mesh electrode using selfcracking-assisted *** this method,we produced an electrode with ultra-transparency(97.39%),high conductance(Rs=21.24Ωsq^(−1)),elevated work function(5.16 eV),and good mechanical *** also evaluated the effectiveness of the fabricated electrodes by integrating them into organic photovoltaics,organic light-emitting diodes,and flexible transparent memristor devices for neuromorphic computing,resulting in exceptional device *** addition,the unique porous structure of the vanadium-doped indium zinc oxide mesh electrodes provided excellent flexibility,rendering them a promising option for application in flexible optoelectronics.

It is widely accepted that solar flares involve release of magnetic energy stored in the solar corona above an active region, but existing models do not include the explicitly time-dependent electrodynamics needed to describe such energy release. A flare paradigm is discussed that includes the electromotive force （EMF） as the driver of the flare, and the flare-associated current that links different regions where magnetic reconnection, electron acceleration, the acceleration of mass motions and current closure occur. The EMF becomes localized across regions where energy conversion occurs, and is involved in energy propagation between these regions.
