Contrasting effects of N fertilization and mowing on ecosystem multifunctionality in a meadow steppe

There is little experimental field evidence on how multiple essential land use intensification drivers(LUIDs),such as nitrogen(N)fertilization and mowing,interact to control ecosystem ***,we conducted a 4-year field experiment in a meadow steppe in northeast China and evaluated the direct and indirect effects of mowing and N fertilization on a range of ecosystemfunctions associated with nutrient cycle,carbon stocks,and organic matter decomposition during the past 2 years of the experiment(2017 and 2018).Mowing had negative effects on the ecosystem multifunctionality index(EMF),carbon(C)cycle multifunctionality index(CCMF),and N cycle multifunctionality index(NCMF)in 2 years of ***,in general,the responses of multifunctionality to N fertilization were ratespecific and year-dependent.N fertilization had positive effects on EMF,CCMF,NCMF,and phosphorus(P)cycle multifunctionality index(PCMF)in 2017,with the higher precipitation rate during the growing season,which was likely associated with the strong monsoon ***,in 2018,EMF,CCMF,and NCMF increased at the lower N fertilization levels(£10 g N m^(-2) yr^(-1)),but decreased at higher N rates.N fertilization had consistent positive effects on PCMF in the 2 years of *** effects of land use drivers on multifunctionality were indirectly influenced by bacterial biomass,plant richness,and soil moisture *** results also indicated that the impacts of land use drivers on multifunctionality played an important role in maintaining a range of functions at low levels of functioning(<50% functional threshold).Low N fertilization levels(£10 g N m^(-2) yr^(-1))were able to reduce the negative effects of mowing on ecosystem multifunctionality while promoting plant biomass(food for livestock)and C *** findings are useful for designing practical strategies toward promoting multifunctionality by managing multiple LUIDs in a meadow steppe.

Dual-species biofilms of Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas promote temperature-dependent cross-contamination on meat surfaces

Temperature and contact surfaces are critical factors influencing biofilm formation of microbial communities derived from both lab and natural environments. However， there is limited understanding regarding how different temperatures impact transfer dynamics of individual microbial species between meat surfaces in dual-species biofilms. In this study， we evaluated the biofilm-forming capabilities of various meat-derived Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas strains on pork surfaces at 15 ℃ and 25 ℃. The results revealed that lower temperature had a significantly negative effect on the growth fitness of E. coli compared to Pseudomonas. Two robust biofilm-forming strains， E. coli C-13 and P. fluorescens S1-23， were selected under both temperature conditions to further explore their interactions in dual-species biofilms on meat surfaces. Outcome showed that E. coli exhibited a competitive growth advantage at 25 ℃， while Pseudomonas displayed enhanced growth at 15 ℃， indicating temperature-dependent competition patterns. Additionally， three established mathematical models were utilized to simulate the transfer dynamics of the two strains within mono- and dual-species biofilms. As anticipated， the numbers of transferred cells progressively declined with increased imprinting reactions between the meat surfaces. Interestingly， the transfer rates of both strains markedly improved in dual-species versus mono-species biofilms at 15 ℃， highlighting the influential role of inter-species interactions on transfer dynamics of microbes that may cross-contaminate meats. Our findings advance current understanding of mono- and dual-species biofilm development on meat surfaces under different temperature conditions. They also offer scientific evidence to support strategies for controlling microbial cross-contamination during meat processing to ensure product safety.

For safety reasons,in the automated dispensing medicines process,robots and humans cooperate to accomplish the task of drug sorting and *** this dynamic unstructured environment,such as a humanrobot collaboration scenario,the safety of human,robot,and equipment in the environment is *** this work,a practical and effective robot motion planning method is proposed for dynamic unstructured *** figure out the problems of blind zones of single depth sensor and dynamic obstacle avoidance,we first propose a method for establishing offline mapping and online fusion of multi-sensor depth images and 3D grids of the robot workspace,which is used to determine the occupation states of the 3D grids occluded by robots and obstacles and to conduct real-time estimation of the minimum distance between the robot and ***,based on the reactive control method,the attractive and repulsive forces are calculated and transformed into robot joint velocities to avoid obstacles in real ***,the robot’s dynamic obstacle avoidance ability is evaluated on an experimental platform with a UR5 robot and two KinectV2 RGB-D sensors,and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.

本文从相变出发,结合母相对称性建立相变与变体位向差之间的定量联系,详细介绍了如何计算相变矩阵和以之为基础的变体间位向差,并以fcc→bcc相变系统为例,运用相变矩阵和对称操作矩阵计算了N W位向关系下变体间位向差,结果与前人从位向关系出发计算结果一致.本文方法有助于理解位向差的成因,特别有助于开展对无理位向关系引起的变体间位向差的分析.文中还进一步运用点群理论讨论了立方系N-W,K-S,Bain位向关系下独立存在的变体数目,并且推导了相变矩阵与位向关系矩阵之间的转换关系.

Self-assembly is a powerful approach in molecular engineering for biomedical applications,in particu-lar for creating self-assembling ***,we report a self-assembling prodrug of the anticancer drug gemcitabine(Gem)based on amphiphilic dendrimer *** prodrug reported in this study demonstrates high drug loading(40%)and robust ability to self-assemble into small nanomicelles,which increase the metabolic stability of Gem and enable entry into cells via endocytosis,hence bypassing transport-mediated *** addition,this prodrug nanosystem exhibited an effective pH-and enzyme-responsive release of Gem,resulting in enhanced anticancer activity and reduced *** ad-vantageous features of both prodrug-and nanotechnology-based drug delivery,this self-assembling Gem prodrug nanosystem constitutes a promising anticancer *** study also offers new perspectives of the amphiphilic dendrimer nanoplatforms for the development of self-assembling prodrugs.

Soil Heavy Metal Pollution and Health Risk Assessment of Abandoned Land in Coal Mining Areas in Xingren County

Total contents of heavy metals （ Pb, Cr, Cd, Hg, As, Cu, Zn, and Ni） in 68 soil samples were determined to evaluate the contamination level of soil from five coal mine areas in Xingren County, Guizhou province. The pollution levels of heavy metals were characterized by anthro- pogenic influence multiple, and the pollution of heavy metal in soil was evaluated using geo-accumulation index. Based on the health risk models recommended by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency （ US EPA）, the health risks of heavy metals in the soils were assessed. The results showed that the abandoned land in the five coal mining areas were contaminated by heavy metals, and the order of pollution levels of eight heavy metals was As 〉 Pb 〉 Cu 〉 Hg 〉 Ni 〉 Cr 〉 Cd 〉 Zn. The soils suffered moderate-heavy pollution from As and Pb, and the contents of As and Pb in the soils were 13.16 and 4.76 times higher than the background values of Guizhou Province, followed by Cu, Hg and Ni , while soil pollution from Cr, Cd and Zn was mild. The order of non-caminogenic risks of the heavy metals in the soils was As 〉 Pb 〉 Cr 〉 Ni 〉 Cu 〉 Hg 〉 Cd 〉 Zn, and the non-carcinogenic dsk value of As was higher than that its threshold value 1, which indicated that As had a high potential health risk to adults and children. The order of carcinogen risks of the four heavy metals was As 〉 Cd 〉 Cr 〉 Ni, and the carcinogenic risk value of As was higher than its threshold value, indicating that As had a high carcinogenic risk to adults and children. The carcinogenic risk values of other three heavy metals （ Cd, Cr and Ni） were lower than the threshold value, so they had no carcinogenic risk to human health. Moreover, children were more sensitively affect- ed by heavy metals from the abandoned land. Therefore, the health of children in such areas should be paid more attention to. The HI value of the eight heavy metals to children was seven times higher than that to adults. The contribution rate of HQAs to HI was about 8

Comparison of Kuqa foreland basin with Persian Gulf Basin in salt tectonics

Compared Kuqa foreland basin with Persian Gulf Basin in development of salt layers, salt tectonics, and the relation between salt tectonics and hydrocarbon, it is concluded that the salt diapirs are relative to hydrocarbon. Searching salt diapirs and related traps in Kuqa foreland basin is important. The forming mechanism of salt tectonic in Kuqa foreland basin is different from that of Hormuz Series, but similar to that of Lower Fars Series/Gachsaran Formation. Inspired by the role of salt tectonics of Lower Fars Series/Gaehsaran Formation in hydrocarbon accumulation, the authors considered that the exploration below salt layer should be enforced, and the traps below salt layer in the southern part of the Kuqa foreland basin would be found where salt layer is thicker. On the contrary, the traps should be found both above and below the salt layer in front of the northern mountain where salt layer is thin. The Triassic and Jurassic source rocks are rich in this area with great exploration prospective.
