Effects of tetrakis (hydroxymethyl) phosphonium sulfate pretreatment on characteristics of sewage sludge

Recently, tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium sulfate(THPS) was found to play an important role in the sludge pretreatment process. However, the effects of THPS pretreatment on the characteristics of sewage sludge are still insufficiently *** properties of sludge after pretreatment with different concentrations of THPS were investigated in this study. The results showed that pH, dewatering ability, and particle size of sludge decreased with increase in THPS concentration. The volatile suspended solids(VSS) and total suspended solids(TSS) of sludge also decreased slightly with increase in THPS concentration. The specific oxygen uptake rate(SOUR) results suggested that lower THPS concentrations(≤ 1.87 mg/g VSS) enhanced the activity of sludge, but higher concentrations(≥ 1.87 mg/g VSS) inhibited it. Gram-negative bacteria with peritrichous flagellation(such as Pseudomonas, Escherichia, and Faecalibacterium) were extremely sensitive to THPS. The decrease in specific most probable numbers(MPNs) of pathogens(total coliforms and Escherichia coli) with the increase in THPS concentration also proved the sterilization ability of THPS in the sludge pretreatment process. Pretreatment of sludge with concentrations of THPS higher than 37.41 mg/g VSS would meet the pathogen requirements for land application of Class A biosolids.

Traditional high performance computing(HPC)systems provide a standard preset environment to support scientific ***,HPC development needs to provide support for more and more diverse applications,such as artificial intelligence and big *** standard preset environment can no longer meet these diverse *** users still run these emerging applications on HPC systems,they need to manually maintain the specific dependencies(libraries,environment variables,and so on)of their *** increases the development and deployment burden for ***,the multi-user mode brings about privacy problems among *** like Docker and Singularity can encapsulate the job’s execution environment,but in a highly customized HPC system,cross-environment application deployment of Docker and Singularity is *** introduction of container images also imposes a maintenance burden on system *** the above-mentioned problems,in this paper we propose a self-deployed execution environment(SDEE)for *** combines the advantages of traditional virtualization and modern *** provides an isolated and customizable environment(similar to a virtual machine)to the *** user is the root user in this *** user develops and debugs the application and deploys its special dependencies in this *** the user can load the job to compute nodes directly through the traditional HPC job management *** job and its dependencies are analyzed,packaged,deployed,and executed *** process enables transparent and rapid job deployment,which not only reduces the burden on users,but also protects user *** show that the overhead introduced by SDEE is negligible and lower than those of both Docker and Singularity.

Facing the challenges of the next generation exascale computing,National University of Defense Technology has developed a prototype system to explore opportunities,solutions,and limits toward the next generation Tianhe *** paper briefly introduces the prototype system,which is deployed at the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin and has a theoretical peak performance of 3.15 Pflops.A total of 512 compute nodes are found where each node has three proprietary CPUs called Matrix-2000+.The system memory is 98.3 TB,and the storage is 1.4 PB in total.

We fabricated sulfur and nitrogen codoped cyanoethyl cellulose-derived carbons(SNCCs)with state-of-the-art electrochemical performance for potassium ion battery(PIB)and potassium ion capacitor(PIC)*** 0.2,0.5,1,2,5,and 10 A g−1,the SNCC shows reversible capacities of 369,328,249,208,150,and 121 mA h g−1,*** to a high packing density of 1.01 g cm^(−3),the volumetric capacities are also uniquely favorable,being 373,331,251,210,151,and 122 mA h cm^(−3)at these currents,*** also shows promising initial Coulombic efficiency of 69.0%and extended cycling stability with 99.8%capacity retention after 1000 *** proof of principle,an SNCC-based PIC is fabricated and tested,achieving 94.3Wh kg^(−1)at 237.5Wkg^(−1)and sustaining over 6000 cycles at 30 A g−1 with 84.5%*** internal structure of S and N codoped SNCC is based on highly dilated and defective graphene sheets arranged into nanometer-scale *** a baseline S-free carbon for comparison(termed NCC),the role of S doping and the resultant dilated structure was *** to galvanostatic intermittent titration technique and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analyses,as well as COMSOL simulations,this structure promotes rapid solid-state diffusion of potassium ions and a solid electrolyte interphase that is stable during cycling.X-ray diffraction was used to probe the ion storage mechanisms in SNCC,establishing the role of reversible potassium intercalation and the presence of KC36,KC24,and KC8 phases at low voltages.

Nonlinear and dynamic problems are very common in the industrial *** neural correlation analysis(ANCA) can monitor the nonlinear processes *** with dynamic canonical correlation analysis(DCCA),multistep canonical correlation analysis(MS-CCA) can effectively monitor the dynamic process by considering the noise information in the original *** paper draws on the dynamic model of MS-CCA and utilizes ANCA’s ability to deal with nonlinear dynamic problems in industrial processes to propose a method called the nonlinear dynamic process monitoring based on multistep artificial neural correlation analysis.A continuous stirred tank reactor(CSTR) is used to verify the *** show that the proposed method can effectively detect the abnormality in the nonlinear dynamic industrial processes.

Hybrid sensor networks (HSNs) comprise of mobile and static sensor nodes setup for purpose of collaboratively performing tasks like sensing a phenomenon or monitoring a region. In this paper, we present target interception as a novel application using mobile sensor nodes as executor. Static sensor nodes sense, compute and communicate with each other for navigation. Mobile nodes are guided to intercept target by the static nodes nearby. Our approach does not require any prior maps of the environment thus, cutting down the cost of the overall energy consumption. As to multi-targets multi-mobile nodes case, we present a PMB algorithm for task assignment. Simulation results have verified the feasibility and effectiveness of our approach proposed.
