A day-ahead voltage-stability-constrained network topology optimization(DVNTO) problem is proposed to find the day-ahead topology schemes with the minimum number of operations(including line switching and bus-bar splitting) while ensuring the sufficient hourly voltage stability margin and the engineering operation requirement of power systems. The AC continuation power flow and the uncertainty from both renewable energy sources and loads are incorporated into the formulation. The proposed DVNTO problem is a stochastic, largescale, nonlinear integer programming problem. To solve it tractably, a tailored three-stage solution methodology, including a scenario generation and reduction stage, a dynamic period partition stage, and a topology identification stage, is presented. First, to address the challenges posed by uncertainties, a novel problem-specified scenario reduction process is proposed to obtain the representative scenarios. Then, to obtain the minimum number of necessary operations to alter the network topologies for the next 24-hour horizon, a dynamic period partition strategy is presented to partition the hours into several periods according to the hourly voltage information based on the voltage stability problem. Finally, a topology identification stage is performed to identify the final network topology scheme. The effectiveness and robustness of the proposed three-stage solution methodology under different loading conditions and the effectiveness of the proposed partition strategy are evaluated on the IEEE 118-bus and 3120-bus power systems.

The vaccine-induced innate immune response is essential for the generation of an antibody response.To date,how Ad5-vectored vaccines are influenced by preexisting anti-Ad5 antibodies during activation of the early immune response remains unclear.Here,we investigated the specific alterations in GP1,2-specific IgG-related elements of the early immune response at the genetic,molecular,and cellular levels on days 0,1,3,and 7 after Ad5-EBOV vaccination.In a causal multiomics analysis,distinct early immune responses associated with GP1,2-specific IgG were observed in Ad5-EBOV recipients with a low level of preexisting anti-Ad5 antibodies.This study revealed the correlates of the Ad5-EBOV-induced IgG response and provided mechanistic evidence for overcoming preexisting Ad5 immunity during the administration of Ad5-vectored vaccines.

The therapeutic outcomes of conventional oral medications against ulcerative colitis(UC)are restricted by inefficient drug delivery to the colitis mucosa and weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory microenvironment.Herein,a fluorinated pluronic(FP127)was synthesized and employed to functionalize the surface of mulberry leaf-derived nanoparticles(MLNs)loading with resveratrol nanocrystals(RNs).The obtained FP127@RN-MLNs possessed exosome-like morphologies,desirable particle sizes(around 171.4 nm),and negatively charged surfaces(−14.8 mV).The introduction of FP127 to RN-MLNs greatly improved their stability in the colon and promoted their mucus infiltration and mucosal penetration capacities due to the unique fluorine effect.

Food colorant Red 40 has been shown to induce colitis in the context of dysregulated IL-23.However,the mechanism involved is still not fully understood.A study by Chen et al.in this issue of Cellular Molecular Immunology[1]demonstrates that under dysregulated IL-23 production from myeloid cells,Red 40 induces IFNγ^(+)cytotoxic CD4^(+)T cells to promote colitis.

A novel feedback control is proposed to investigate the stochastic finite-time/fixed-time synchronization between two stochas-tic coupled nonlinear systems(SCNSs).Based on graph theory and Lyapunov function methods,some effective stochastic finite-time/fixed-time synchronization criteria for SCNSs are established.Finally,the examples are included to demonstrate our analytical results.

Background:Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a common complication in patients,especially elderly patients,who undergo cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass.Studies have indicated a protective role of autophagy in AKI.However,the mechanisms underlying the regulatory effect of autophagy in AKI among patients undergoing cardiac surgeries are poorly understood.In this study,we aimed to test the hypothesis that exosomal microRNAs(miRNAs)regulate autophagy in tubular epithelial cells after AKI.Methods:Plasma exosomal RNA was extracted from young and elderly AKI patients undergoing cardiac surgery,and the miRNAs expression during the perioperative period were analyzed using next-generation sequencing.The screened miRNAs and their target genes were subjected to gene oncology function and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome enrichment analyses.Renal tubular epithelial cell line(HK-2 cells)was cultured and hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)model was established,which is an in vitro renal ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)model.We used Western blot analysis,cell viability assay,transfection,luciferase assay to investigate the mechanisms underlying the observed increases in the levels of renal I/R injury-mediated exosomal miRNAs and their roles in regulating HK-2 cells autophagy.Results:miR-590-3p was highly enriched in the plasma exosomes of young AKI patients after cardiac surgery.Increased levels of miR-590-3p led to the increases in the expression of autophagy marker proteins,including Beclin-1 and microtubule associated protein 1 light chain 3 beta(LC3II),and prolonged the autophagic response in HK-2 cells after H/R treatment.These effects were achieved mainly via increases in the exosomal miR-590-3p levels,and the tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 protein was shown to play a key role in I/R injury-mediated autophagy induction.Conclusion:Exosomes released from HK-2 cells after renal I/R injury regulate autophagy by transferring miR-590-3p in a paracrine manner,which suggests that increasing the miR-590-3p levels in H

Robustness of deep neural networks(DNNs)has caused great concerns in the academic and industrial communities,especially in safety-critical domains.Instead of verifying whether the robustness property holds or not in certain neural networks,this paper focuses on training robust neural networks with respect to given perturbations.State-of-the-art training methods,interval bound propagation(IBP)and CROWN-IBP,perform well with respect to small perturbations,but their performance declines significantly in large perturbation cases,which is termed“drawdown risk”in this paper.Specifically,drawdown risk refers to the phenomenon that IBPfamily training methods cannot provide expected robust neural networks in larger perturbation cases,as in smaller perturbation cases.To alleviate the unexpected drawdown risk,we propose a global and monotonically decreasing robustness training strategy that takes multiple perturbations into account during each training epoch(global robustness training),and the corresponding robustness losses are combined with monotonically decreasing weights(monotonically decreasing robustness training).With experimental demonstrations,our presented strategy maintains performance on small perturbations and the drawdown risk on large perturbations is alleviated to a great extent.It is also noteworthy that our training method achieves higher model accuracy than the original training methods,which means that our presented training strategy gives more balanced consideration to robustness and accuracy.

Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignancies of the digestive system,and the number of deaths continues to increase.The standardized management of the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer is challenging due to the great differences in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer in different regions.The Gastric Cancer Expert Committee of the National Cancer Quality Control Center(NCQCC)identified a lack of authoritative quality control standards as an opportunity to utilize its multidisciplinary membership to improve the standardized diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.The Gastric Cancer Expert Committee of the NCQCC aims to promote quality control and national standardization,uniformity,and normalization of gastric cancer diagnosis and treatment,which ultimately improved the survival rate and quality of life of gastric cancer patients.A panel of experts with gastrointestinal cancer surgery,gastrointestinal cancer medicine,medical imaging,pathology and radiotherapy were drawn together and determined the quality control standards for the standardized diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.The authors then utilized a modified Delphi approach to generate consensus recommendations.

The gut microbiota has a critical role in the maintenance of immune homeostasis.Alterations in the intestinal microbiota and gut microbiota-derived metabolites have been recognized in many immune-related inflammatory disorders.These metabolites can be produced by gut microbiota from dietaiy components or by the host and can be modified by gut bacteria or synthesized de novo by gut bacteria.Gut microbiota-derived metabolites influence a plethora of immune cell responses,including T cells,B cells,dendritic cells,and macrophages.Som e of these metabolites are involved in the pathogenesis of immune-related inflammatory diseases,such as inflammatory bowel diseases,diabetes,rheumatoid arthritis,and systemic lupus erythematosus.Here,we review the role of microbiota-derived metabolites in regulating the functions of different immune cells and the pathogenesis of chronic immune-related inflammatory diseases.
